Angels POV

I took the test on a Saturday afternoon.

It's official. I'm having a baby.

"Hey Angel." Jared strolled into our room. Yes it's ours now.

"Hey Jared." I mumbled and help my arms up to him. I needed a hug.

"Took the test I assume?" He moved forward and sat next to me. Pulling me into his lap and wrapping his arms around me.

"Yes... And Im starting to wonder if it's a good decision... What if it's not?" I looked up at him.

"It's already been made and you've come up with a good plan to. Im sure it's going to work out just fine." he kissed my cheek.

"I hope it will." I muttered.

There was a soft knock at the door before Jared could say anything.

"Come in." we called at the same time. Making me giggle a little.

His mom walked in holding a small bag of items. "Hey boys. I got Angel the things he wanted." she set them next to me as she entered the room. "so it's official now Ange?" She looked at me sympathetically.

"Yes. And thank you for all of this. Your really going to change a lot of lives." I smiled weakly at her and grabbed the items from the bag.

Inside was a container of pills for my nausea and a pressure bracelet so in case I got sick in the car ride I could put this on and not puke my guts up. A bottle of water and a piece of paper with my doctors appointment and a few numbers listed for TV stations we could convince to help us.

"It's not me changing them. It's you and Jared." She left after that.

"Lets give it a week before we go to the lab an start our war okay? I want some peace before the storm." I had said mostly to myself but also to let Jared know what I wanted to do.

"Sounds good to me Angel." He kissed the top of my head and we laid down together. Snuggling under the covers and falling asleep.

The following week was me mostly dealing with morning sickness and calling up people and TV stations and getting up a small army of people to meet me at the lab doors.

And when I say small... It didn't end up being small. I had like a whole city, no state on my side! Everyone in town showed up thanks to Micah, Bella, Jared, and Kayla who went around to offices, schools and houses spreading just a short summery of my story.

A lot of people got convinced.

"Ready to go Angel?" Jared helped me into my coat as I nodded slowly. "As ready as I ever will be..." I mumbled.

"I'll be there every step of the way." He gave me a quick peck and we headed to the car. As soon as we were on the road people started joking in behind us till we made it the outside of the Lab. I looked at it and shuddered. I don't know what to say about what's going on in there anymore.

In fact it's to hard to say.

I got out of the car. I stood at the gates with Jared, everyone else standing behind us for support.

Three doctors emerged from the lab and walked up to us.

"Hi there Angel." One of them smiled. "Ready to come home?"

"No." I said quietly.

"W-what?" his smile faltered a little.

"I'm turning myself over to the state. Not you."

"B-but. That's not allowed. You must come here."

"Not until I have my trial. And besides. Theres a law that says I can't be killed if I'm pregnant." I pulled the small stick with my proof of my pregnancy on it. "Even if I did go with you. You can't put me down because of the government law to protect my child."

The doctors shared quick words before looking at me angrily. "You need our help."

"Not anymore."

After that I had been arrested and taken to jail. The town paid my bail and I was able to return home. It was a very eventful day so I was thankful when I was able to fall asleep in Jared's arms.

"How you feeling today Angel?"

"Okay I guess. Feeling a bit sick."

"That's normal."

I was getting a check up today at the hospital. The sweet lady I was with smiled and made sure I understood before allowing me to leave.

"So do you have any questions or do you want to look at your baby now?"

I looked at Jared.

"No questions." He replied simply and squeezed my hand.

I lifted my shirt so the lady could apply the gel to my stomach. Making me chuckle some as she did. Its not as cold as you think.

We spent the next half hour talking about what's to come and looking at my forming baby.

"Good luck with your interview tomorrow. Here are some pictures." The nice lady handed me the pictures and I gratefully took them.

"Thank you..." I murmured and made my way out to Jared's car.

"So... One month down huh?" Jared attempted a conversation.

"Yes. Im very happy to know he/she is doing good." I stared at the pictures.

"I'm still in shock that you talked me into this Angel." he sighed heavily.

"You wanted to help me. This wasn't totally needed but it was a back up plan. But it helped keep me out of the lab right?"

"Yeah." he reached over and grabbed my hand before driving us home.

A/N:

Sorry it took so long to update and it being so short! But two important, wait three ;3 ones a foreshadow, happened~

So despite it's shortness it's updated and had information for the end~ there's a max 5-8 chapters left. Unsure if I want to include anything after the baby yet~
