Chapter 4: The Deal
-Time skip 1 year-
-Izuku is 7-
Izuku POV
I woke up in pain. Barely able to sit up and stand. As I lifted myself off on my mat, I felt my head throb with pain.
"Agh, what happened?" I ask myself. I try to think back on the nights events and remember father with his fire. "Why can't I remember anything else yet?"
I shrug and force myself up. I walk over look in the mirror only to be greeted with a giant cut on my forehead that goes into my hairline.
"That could be why." I say plainly. I've become so used to finding wounds without remembering how I got them. It usually comes back to me eventually. I got to my closet and grab the first aide kit that I put together. Quietly, I open the door and check the hall, making sure father isn't awake yet. I really need to bandage this before school. I don't know what I will tell people, but I doubt anyone will care anyway.
Once in the bathroom I begin to tend to my wound. I've gotten pretty good at treating wounds over the past year. I bandage myself up and pause to look at myself. My green hair as fluffy as ever fell over my forehead, hiding most of the bandage. My eyes looked dull and the bags under them were well earned from the countless nights I've stayed awake out of fear. My face has stayed fairly scar free up until now. Father didn't want any unnecessary attention. This new wound would definitely scar though. I look down at my frail body and sigh at the scars and bruises that litter it. I know I'm underweight, but it's not bad. Plus, there's not much I can do about it. If father finds out that I have eaten behind his back, the beatings get worse, and even if I did eat, it's not like I could keep much down. It's been so long since I had a real meal I don't think my stomach would know what to do about it.
With that, I wander out and get ready for school. I quickly exit the blood stained apartment and run to school. I wanted to get there before the rest of my class so I don't have to interact with them. They've just gotten worse. Especially Kacchan.
-------
The school bell rang and it was time to leave. I tried to put on a happy face as I said bye to the teacher, and headed for home. Only to be stopped by the one and only, Kacchan.
"Oi! Deku!" I sighed and turned around, surprised to find that he wasn't crowded by his usual group of thug friends.
"Yes Kacchan?" I asked dryly. He had a look of... worry? No, that can't be right. Kacchan doesn't care about me anymore. I think he could see my confusion because he quickly spoke up.
"Uh, yea. What happened to your head?" My heart dropped. He isn't supposed to ask about that! No one is! No one is supposed to care! I thought my hair covered it anyway? Was it that obvious? I don't-
"Deku." I snap my head up and look Kacchan in the eyes. "You were mumbling."
My eyes widen and I feel myself start to panic. "I-i-i I have to go." I turn away and feel him grab my wrists. I hiss in pain and pull away. "OW! Don't touch me!" He looks at me in complete shock.
"H-hey, Deku. Are you alright?" This for some reason makes me really mad.
Turning to him I coldly say, "As if you would care." And walk off.
Backugo POV
The nerd starts to walk off. I watch him in shock. Of course I care. Why would he think I wouldn't? He is my friend after all. I just want to protect him.
I watch the freckled boy turn a corner and sigh.
"I'll just talk to him tomorrow I guess."
------
I get to my door and have a weird feeling in my stomach.
"This won't be good." I whisper to myself. "Be strong."
I take a breath and open the door only to be greeted by my father and two strange looking men. One was is a suit and was covered in a dark purple smoke, while the other had long light blue hair and had dry flaky skin.
I looked at father with confusion painted across my face. "H-hello f-father. W-who are y-your friends?"
"You know not to ask questions you fucking mistake." The man with the blue hair snickered. How crusty I think to myself. I sit there at the front door waiting as they talk. I have a feeling they are apart of my bad feeling.
After a few minutes I take a step towards my room.
"STAY." My father bellows. I freeze and stay standing in the doorway. The men continue their conversation and suddenly, a small warp opens. The purple man reaches inside and grabs a briefcase, handing it to my father. He opens the case and I am able to see that it's full of money. A lot of it. I feel the pit in my stomach grow as the bad feeling only gets worse. Please don't let this be what I think it is. Please don't let this be what I think it is.
As I'm trying to keep my cool and not panic, father has a wicked smile stretch across his face. His eye dart towards me.
"Get your ass over here now." He says this with the grin still plastered on his face. "Alright thing," He starts, thing meaning me, "you now belong to them." I drop my bag in shock and start taking a few steps back.
"Wh-wh-y-you SOLD me?!" I feel my back hit the wall. I know I can't escape this. The warp guy would prevent me from leaving anyway. I'm trapped. I feel my heart race.
"Of course I sold you. You are a possession and I have no use for you anymore." He paused "You get rid of the things that have no use anymore. Remember your mother?" My breath hitches and I feel the weight of the situation crushing me. I mean, it's not like I have a glamorous life here, but I don't want to be sold to some villains!
Crusty is the next one to speak. "You see Izuku Midoriya I have a special experiment I've been working on, and your the perfect clean slate to start with." He raised his head and smirked at me with an evil grin.
In an instant he rushed forward and grabbed me by the throat, leaving one finger raised.
"Kurogiri. We are going now."
"As you wish." The purple man said. And just like that another warp gate opened, but this time it was big enough for the three to walk through.
Just as we were about to step through, crusty spoke again. "Don't you wanna say bye to your daddy? Huh, kid?" As he was still holding me by the throat, he knew I couldn't respond. He just wanted to taunt me.
As I gasped for air, scratching at my throat, I was pulled through the gate, dark purple started to cloud my vision. The last thing I saw before warping through the gate, was my twisted father waving goodbye to me and laughing.
