Chapter 27: Training Camp

3rd POV

"UP! UP! EVERYONE UP NOW! TRAINING STARTS IN AN HOUR!" Aizawa was yelling down the hall. "IF YOU WANT FOOD GET YOUR ASSES UP NOW!" The room of sleepy teens filled with moans. Izuku sat up, slowly rubbing the sleep from his eyes. His snowy hair was messier than usual. He looked up and saw Aizawa in the doorway with a megaphone.

"Who the hell let him have one of those?" He muttered to himself. Kirishima and Sero snickered at his remark. Izuku tends to have less of a filter when he first wakes up. A lot of the class found the duality of their dainty classmate quite amusing.

"NOW PROBLEM CHILDREN!" His voice boomed through the room. Izuku glared daggers into his father.

"I swear to god old man." He growled, slowly pushing himself up from the floor. More snickers were heard around him.

"God I love tired Izuku." Kirishima said under his breath.

They all got ready and quickly ate. Class 1A met in a large clearing, around this clearing were different terrains and supplies scattered about. The area was set up with each student in mind. Aizawa quickly split everyone up and they got to work.

Izuku was sent to work on his Energy Control quirk. He stood by some trees, his goal was to knock some down. He activated his quirk, the air around him charged with energy. His left eye emitted a long green bolt of electricity and soon his body, was covered. The powerful cracking of the bolts startled a few students. They watched as the green sparks danced around his head, standing out against his white locks. The small boy raised his arms slowly. The energy charging around him. He threw his hands forward. A huge burst of energy shot through the trees. Instead of knocking down the one infront of him, a long trail of charred trees starred at him.

"Oh sh-"

"IZUKU! I SAID ONE TREE!" He flinched, knowing he messed up. He turned around and gave his teacher a sheepish smile.

"Uhhhh, my bad?" Aizawa's hair started to float and his eyes glowed red. Izuku gulped. He was in for it now.

"Your new task is to go regrow those trees."

"But this goes on for miles!"

"I made up my mind. You have one hour to get back." Izuku grunted, mumbling something under his breath as he ran off into the forest. Aizawa saw Mineta laughing at Izuku's punishment.

"MINETA." The tiny boy froze. "Would you like to accompany Midoriya?" He frantically shook his head. "Then I suggest you get to work." The boy violently nodded and ran off. Aizawa turned and saw the shocked faces of class 1B. The class watched in horror and fear at the gruesome training that their peers were going through. They was small periodical flashes of white, along with little puffs of leaves from the forest. Explosions erupting into the air. Rocks, lasers, and lightning were flying everywhere. It was complete chaos.

"Took you long enough to get here Vlad." Aizawa said, walking to the class with his hands tucked into his pockets.

"Your students seem to be having fun." Vlad King chuckled softly.

"They better not be." Aizawa said plainly. The class gulped in fear.

"Ok 1B! It's time to get working! We can't let 1A have all the glory now can we?!"

"NOOO!" The class yelled back. Aizawa groaned and covered an ear. He had enough of the excitement. It was time for his nap. He snatched his yellow sleeping bag and fell asleep under a tree.

Soon after, Izuku returned, fixing up the last tree. He slowly walked over to Aizawa, kicking him gently. The tired man looked at his son and checked his watch. "No way you're done problem child. That was only 25 minutes." The small boy beamed at him and gave him a thumbs up.

Aizawa let out a small laugh. "Nice leaf kid." Izuku looked at him confused. He turned his hand around to see a small twig with a leaf sprouting from the top of his hand. His eyes grew wide.

"OHMYGODDAD! I'm turning into a tree! What am I gunna do I don't wanna be a tree. But am I actually turning into a tree or is it a side effect of my quirk? DO I HAVE SOME ON MY FACE?!" Izuku spoke at an alarming speed. The other students watched the train wreck go down as father tried to calm down son. Aizawa clamed him down a bit.

"Izuku I'm going to pull it off, ok. You're fine. You won't turn into a tree." Izuku braced himself for the worst, trying to get as far away from his hand as if it was going to blow up. Aizawa grabbed the twig and pulled gently. It snapped off the skin, leaving nothing behind. Izuku blushed, embarrassed by his reaction. He sent the boy off to go spar with Kaminari.

"Problem child." He groaned, watching the boy run up to his yellow haired classmate.

"So how's the kid doing anyway?" Vlad walked up and stood beside him, they both watched over the classes.

Aizawa smiled softly. "I think he finally feels at home. He seems genuinely happy." They watched the freckled boy laughing with his friend. "Him and Zashi are two peas in a pod and I hate to admit it, but he might like coffee more than me." The two smiled. Vlad had only met the boy a few times, but in their brief interactions, he grew fond of the boy, like many of the Pro's had. He radiated such warmth.

The boy they were watching coughed into this shirt, making Aizawa a little worried. I thought his cough was supposed to be gone by now. He thought to himself. He decided he was going to keep a close eye on the boy today. He changed his attention to his other students. After all, he does have more than one student.

"Ok! Let's see what you got snowball!" Kanimari smirked.

"Snowball? Is that the best you got?" Izuku quickly spat back. They got into a fighting stance, both ready to pounce. They lunged towards each other. Izuku was very skilled in hand to hand combat, but Kaminari was a bit of a lose cannon, taking any opportunity and running with it.  He kept Izuku on his toes. A few minutes passed, Izuku had been zapped a few times when Denki had gotten his fists a little too close. They made Izuku's heart race a little, but he had taken worse.

"I don't think you're ready for this, Midoriya!" Izuku's eyes widened as Kaminari crouched to the ground. "Indiscriminate shock! 1.3 million volts!" The ground erupted with large volts of yellow lightning. Even though it was day, there was an obvious burst of light from the electricity. Kaminari looked up, on the verge of short circuiting. "No way!" He slurred. A few people had gathered behind him, brought over from the strange light. They looked over to see Izuku struggling against the electricity. Yellow and green sparks surrounded him, he seemed to be struggling to move.

"C-come o-o-o-nn-n." He stuttered. Izuku slowly moved his arms, swaying them around as if he was gathering the electricity in his finger tips. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other, his hand moving from across his body. He shakily held three fingers up to the sky and thunderous bolts erupted from his finger tips into the sky. The ground shook from the sound. The other students covered their eyes from the bright light.

Their eyes opened to see Izuku, slumped over. Smoke was coming off of his body. He tried to take a step forward and fell to his knees, coughing. Everyone was shocked. Soon the rest of the classes had gathered around.

"Shit! Izuku!" Bakugo rushed forward. He reached out for his boyfriend, only to be met with a hard zap of yellow electricity.

"S-s-sorry. I-i'm still a l-little charged-d." The boy slowly laid onto his back, letting out a small groan as he looked to the sky. Small coughs escaped his lips.

"Midoriya! Man, are you ok?!" Kirishima was standing over him. Izuku smiled and laughed slightly. He waived his had limply in the air.

"Yea *cough*, I-i've b-been practicing that f-for awhile." He paused to take in a deep breath. His breathing sounded a bit strained. "I-i just didn't r-realize how m-much electricity th-that damn p-pikachu could let out." The three smiled. Izuku slowly pushed himself up so he could sit up.

"Izu!" Aizawa ran over, pushing through the crowd of students. He saw his son sitting in the center of everyone. Smoke trailing off his shoulders and cheeks. He saw his father and gave him a wide grin. "You ass hat." He grumbled. Izuku laughed at his father.

Everyone slowly went back to their training, leaving Aizawa, Bakugo, and Izuku to talk.

"You damn nerd. That seemed really risky!" Bakugo looked more nervous than angry. "What did you even do?" Izuku tried to find the right words.

"Well, with Elemental control, not only can I manipulate the elements, but if I focus and train, I can then manipulate what I call 'secondary elements'. Basically meaning that if I hone in on said element, in this case fire, then I can manipulate things like electricity, metal, sound, and blood." They looked shocked. "I also think that I may have unintentionally activated Energy control too. That could be why I didn't get hurt too bad." He began to mutter theories to himself.

"What are we going to do with you?" Aizawa sighed. "Well, until you're done being zappy." He said as a spark flew from Izuku's cheek. "You can rest. Maybe just focus on your senses." Izuku nodded. He decided to lay down where he was since he was technically a fire hazard at the moment. He sat there until lunch, focusing his senses and healing himself.

Izuku POV

I coughed as I sat up. My lungs haven't gotten any better. I don't know why. Any healing that I get seems to only work if it's from Recovery girl. I shrug off the thoughts. I feel a pit grow in my stomach as a bad feeling washes over me. Something bad is going to happen. Maybe it's just intense training. I try to calm my nerves as I meet up with the others.

After lunch we split off again to do more training. I worked on using two of my quirks at the same time and the range of my Gravity control. After an exhausting day, it was finally over. Luckily there weren't any other mishaps. We tiredly walked back to the building. There were stacks of vegetables, spices, curry packages, and bags of rice on the outdoor tables.

"You guys got to enjoy our cooking this time, but now it's your turn! Think of it like training!" Pixebob said happily.

"Yes. Saving people is an important task, and they might not be in the best state once they are saved! Good food can always raise someone's spirits and reassure them that they are safe." Tiger said this. I felt comfort in his words. There was a time that I had almost given up on heroes, but his words reminded me just how much heroes really want to help people in need.

His words seemed to have affected others too. Everyone had smiles on their faces and determination in their eyes.

"Let's make the best curry ever!" Ururaka jumped up, throwing her fist in the air.

"YEA!" Everyone shouted back.

Everyone broke away and started cooking. We found that Kacchan is insanely good in the kitchen for some unknown reason. Ururaka watched him in awe. His distant shouts could be heard across the yard. I chuckled hearing his antics.

"Hey Izuku!" I saw Jiro waving to me. "Think you could give us a light?" I jogged up to her. She was with Koda and Aoyama. I waved to them as I approached. I crouched down and gently lit a small flame in my palm. I smiled at the pulsing warmth it gave off and placed it onto the wood.

"Easy peasy!" I said, popping up. I glanced over to see that Todoroki had been recruited for the same job. I chuckled and walked up to him.

"I see we are both the designated lighters for the night." I smiled at his as he stood up. I always forget how tall he is, or, maybe I'm just short. He gave me a small smile.

We had talked awhile back about his flames. He had opened up to me about his father and why he doesn't use his flames. I understood where he was coming from. I was so opposed to my quirks for a long time and didn't want to use them, but I realized that I couldn't be the best hero I was able to be if I limited myself. I told him that this power was his own. It seemed to have been the right thing to do, because he seems happier now. He uses his flames more often and has even started visiting his mother.

Soon after, all the food was cooked and we dug in. My appetite is small, but I can now eat three meals a day. I've even put on a little weight! Dad and Papa were really proud when I told them. It was another step in the right direction. Through out dinner, I still had that same sense of unease. I kept glancing into the forest. It felt like I had eyes on me in every direction. Maybe it's just some animals curious about the food. Yea, yea. That has to be it.

After we finished cleaning up, Zawa and Vlad King gathered us up. "We have another surprise in store for you all." The classes tensed. I wonder if this is what my bad feeling was about.

"Our hosts have arranged an obstacle course of sorts through the forest. One class will be scaring the other." Vlad said. "1B, you will be scaring first. 1A, you will be going into the forest in pairs."

"Kirishima, Sato, Kaminari, Ashido, and Mineta." Their faces dropped as Zawa stared them down. "You five have make up courses and will be sitting out from the nights fun." They groaned and Aizawa drug them off with his scarf. As he walked past me, he ruffled my shaggy white hair.

"You are so getting a hair cut after camp." I laughed, flicking his hands away.

"You wish." I said in defiance. He smiled at me and waved.

"Don't piss yourselves!" He shouted.

3rd POV

"What a wonderful night for some fun."

"I'm tired of waiting! I want to cut them up!"

"What a psycho- yea! Me too!"

"We must be patient. It's all about timing and misdirection."

The shady group stood in the outskirts of forest. Vicious smiles grew across their faces as the time grew nearer.

"It's time."
