Chapter 24: Nightmare

----TRIGGER WARNING----

Izuku POV

I rushed to my room, trying to calm myself down. I started breathing heavy, looking around the room trying to ground myself in my surroundings. I crouched down to the floor at the foot of my bed pulling my knees to my chest.

"It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. They don't k-know. They di-didn't m-mean it." Tears were falling again. I looked up at the curtains and started counting the starts. 1...2...3....4....5....6....7....8..... I counted them until my eyes grew heavy. I felt my self getting tired and crawled onto the bed. I fell asleep as my head hit the pillow.

------

I felt the collar back on my throat and hand cuffs around my ankles and wrists. I was back there.

"No. No no no. NOO!" I scratched at my throat frantically and tried desperately to slip off the cuffs. There was a rattling at the door and I realized I was in the lab, suddenly strapped to the metal table. Akari loomed over me with dark pits for eyes.

"We are going to have some fun Number seven. Prepare yourself." He injected me with something in my shoulder. It was some kind of drug. I felt the effects right away. The florescent lights above me seemed to sway. I felt myself panicking, but my body was moving in slow motion.

"Whadid you doo?" My voice was slowed and slurred. I watched as Akari undid my bindings and flipped me over. He pushed my long shirt up my back. "No." I said weakly. "Stap dat. Don." My heart was punding and my head was racing. 'What was that! Why can't I move! He's going to rape me! It's never been him before!' My thoughts raced.

"It's about time I got some use out of you Seven. After all, you should enjoy your job, right?" He asked sinisterly. I felt my throat let out a gurgled scream as I heard his belt buckle hit the cement floor. I felt hot tears stream down my expressionless face.

He forcefully put a finger inside me. I wanted to scream, but all that came out was a small grunt. It made Akari more enthusiastic. He removed his finger and I felt something get slammed into me. It was agony, but I couldn't do anything . The doctor walked over to my face. I could move my eyes, so I strained to look at him.

He grabbed the back of my head and shoved his member to the back of my throat. I gasped and choked at the force of the action. He let out a moan, only making my tears fall faster. I closed my eyes hoping it would be over soon. He exited my mouth, looking down at me with disgust. "That just wasn't satisfying enough. He returned to the end of the table, yanking out whatever he had put inside me. I whined at the pain, knowing more was coming.

Pain erupted through my lower half as he slammed himself into me. The pain must have been immense, because I was actually able to let out a real scream. The doctor thrusted into me, using me for his satisfaction. And he quickly got it, letting out a haunting moan that echoed off the walls. He flipped me over harshly and pulled up his pants, acting as if I wasn't even human. As he buckled his belt, he looked over the jars of liquids on the shelves. He returned with three syringes.

"Now it's your turn to have some fun." He stabbed me with the syringes, injecting one right after the other. Pain soared through my body, but I couldn't move in response to the pain, muddled screams were the only thing I could do. The pain grew and grew until it became unbearable, I was starting to shake uncontrollably.

"NoooOOOoOOOO!"

"NOOOOOooOO!!!!" I woke up screaming and in pain. I felt my veins pounding throughout my body. Waves of pain slamming me with the beat of my heart. I fell off my bed. The impact with the floor sent a stabbing pain through my chest. It felt like I was being injected with the quirks all over again. I slowly rolled onto my knees. Everywhere my skin had contact seemed to burn. The tears falling from my eyes stung my skin. I let out another cry of pain and fell to one elbow, my head hanging. I heard the door open, I panicked quickly pushing away from the presence, thinking it was Shigiraki. "N-noooOOo. G-get aw-w-waaAAYYY ARRGGGGGGAHHHAHHAA!!" I clutched my stomach in pain from my sudden movement. I heard a distant yelling.

He is calling Toga over. They are going to hurt me! "You bastard! Sh-shigiraki I'll kill you!" My vision was blurred. I was just yelling in the general direction of the door. I wasn't thinking straight. "J-just st-st-stop." I choked out. A pounding sensation filled my skull. I clutched my head in pain, curling into a ball on the ground. Another wave of pain came with the pounding of my heart. I heard glass cracking behind me with each wave of pain.

Suddenly there was a hand touching me. In my panic, I lit a fire where the person touched. They pulled away. I heard distant yelling and then the pain stopped. I released my head and looked around. My vision and hearing starting to come back to me. I felt miles away from where I was.

"Zu- zu- Izu- IZUKU!" I snapped back to reality, seeing a crying Kacchan infront of me. I looked behind him and saw dad. His eyes were glowing red and his hair was floating.

"So that's why it stopped." I mumbled. I looked past him and saw most of my class, staring at me as if they had just seen a ghost. I started to push myself up and saw blood hit the floor. I sat up, touching my face. "Blood." I said simply. I started to stand up, using the desk to steady me. Kacchan reached out to help and I forcefully flinched. My dream still vivid in my head.

"Izuku. Are you ok?" I couldn't place where the voice came from so I looked in the general direction and smiled, one hand on the desk, and the other giving a thumbs up. This seemed to earn me more concerned stares.

"Iida, get Recovery girl from the teacher dorms now. Momo, I need some first aid gear." A few more oders were said, but I wasn't paying attention. Instead, I looked at my palm, where a strange tingling and light white light was appearing.

Suddenly a small daisy sprouted from my hand. I glared at the plant, not believing my eyes.

"What the hell?" Zawa's hair fell as he stared at me. I turned my palm towards him, smiling slightly.

"It's a daisy." I said childishly. Soon my giddy state started to fade as the pain began to grow again. I stumbled, clutching my stomach in pain. I coughed, noticing more blood spilling to the floor. I muttered an apology and something about how I will clean it up.

Zawa was kneeling in front of me now. "Whendid you get'ere?" I slurred. My eyes began to sting. I went to rub them, accidentally rubbing blood on my face instead. "Dad, my eyes hurt." He was holding me steady at this point. Recovery girl was here now, standing next to Zawa. I was bracing myself for some pain, I felt a wave coming.

"Kid I need you to stop using your quirk so I can help you." He sounded scared

"But I'm not doing any-" My breath caught in my throat. Blackspots started clouding my vision and I began to panic. "N-no I d-don't w-wanna sleep. P-p-pl-lease." I felt my consciousness leaving me as the world faded to black.

3rd POV

Izuku passed out in Aizawa's arms. The teacher was visibly shaken at the events that had just unfolded. He placed his son on the bed as recovery girl started to work.

"Mr. Aizawa, what just happened?"

"Is he ok?"

"What is going on?"

He turned to his class who was standing in the door. He looked so defeated. "I guess you guys should probably know. At this point it could be dangerous if you don't." He ushered them all out to the common room so Izuku could rest. Bakugo stayed upstairs, not leaving Izuku's side.

"As you can probably tell, Midoriya is a little different." He paused, trying to think of the right words. "Do you all remember the villain hide out that was discovered to have been conducting human experiments?" The class nodded, not liking where this was going. "Well Izuku is the only survivor from those experiments. He was their seventh human experiment." There were some gasps from the group.

"That's why that villain from the USJ called him Number seven." Kirishima said softly. Aizawa nodded.

"Wh-what were they experimenting?" Momo asked.

"Quirks." The class sat in silence. "You see, Izuku was born quirkless. His father sold him to the Leauge of villains and they used him as a blank canvas, forcing quirks onto Midoriya. You guys have seen a little bit of how painful that process is. From the files we found during the raid. Very few people can even survive one forced quirk, while Izuku now has seven, maybe nine forced quirks. And that is only counting the successful ones." Most of the class was crying at this point. "He had endured a lot of pain to have survived this long." Aizawa had tears streaming down his face now, his voice remaining steady. "I want you all to look out for him. He doesn't need to be babied, just have each others backs." Silence fell over the room again. Aizawa checked the time, wiping the tears away from his face. "Ok. I know it might be hard, but you should all get some sleep, there is still class in the morning." His students slowly nodded, wiping away their own tears.

Kirishima stayed back. "Mr. Aizawa?" The teacher turned to him. "Are they still after Midoriya?" Aizawa silently nodded and walked off. He was going to watch over his son for the night.

-still 3rd POV-

Around 7 am, Izuku started to stir. Aizawa shot up and stood at the foot of the bed. Bakugo, who had been laying his head on the bed also watched the boy. The small boy's eyes fluttered open. He didn't move. Tears fell from the corners of his eyes. It broke Aizawa's heart to see his son go through so much pain. Bakugo gently grabbed Izuku's hand. Izuku turned to face him. His usually bright eyes seemed dull and lifeless.

Izuku started to sit up. "Hey hey hey, don't push yourself." Aizawa rushed forward. Izuku grabbed his head. He had a throbbing headache.

"Wh-what happened?" He asked, clutching his head.

"You don't remember?" Bakugo asked. The snowy haired boy slowly shook his head.

Aizawa was now pulling Izuku into a hug, soflty petting the boys hair. "I think you might have gotten some new quirks last night." The boy tensed at this information and began to cry.

"Dad. I don't want to be a weapon." He said softly. Aizawa held his tighter.

"You aren't a weapon Izu. No one can force you to be something you don't want to be." The boy sat back up, wiping away the tears.

"Th-thanks." He looked around the room, noticing the glass on the balcony door had cracked. He pointed to the door. "Did I do that?" Aizawa nodded. "I didn't hurt anyone did I?"

Aizawa smiled at the boys concern. "No one got hurt." He paused, his smile fading. "Izuk-"

"They know." Izuku said, his eyes falling to his hands. Bakugo looked at the floor. Aizawa rubbed his sons back.

"I'm sorry Izuku. They needed to know." Izuku nodded. Neither Bakugo or Aizawa knew how he would take this information.

"It's ok." He said. "Really. It's safer for them to know." He gave the two a small smile, his eyes showing a small glimmer of light. "Plus, now I don't have to hide anything from them." The two looked at Izuku with such pride. They knew he was strong, but this was a new level.

"You should rest." Bakugo said. His tone was softer than normal. Izuku looked at him, a bit concerned.

"I agree. Tomorrow we can go to the doctor and see if you have new quirks." Izuku though to himself.

"D-do you think I could play chess with Nezu today? I can rest in the teachers lounge when he's busy." Aizawa reluctantly agreed. He knew Izuku wanted to distract himself and being alone all day probably wasn't the best option.

------

Aizawa and Bakugo left for class and Izuku made his way to the principles office. He wasn't wearing his uniform and had his hood covering his hair. They boy also had darker bags under his eyes than he usually did. Forcing quirks onto someone takes a toll. He coughed slightly, covering his mouth as he walked down the halls. He looked at his palm and saw small spots of blood. He knew it was probably because of the quirks. He wasn't sure how many more his body could handle before it started to give out.

He sat in the teachers lounge waiting for Nezu to get out of a meeting. He laid on the green couch in the center of the room, coughing ever so often, ignoring the blood. He can't have people worrying anymore than they already are.

"Hey Izuku." A soft feminine voice called to him. He looked at her with his eyes half closed, giving her a weak smile.

"Hello Mrs. Nemuri." His hood fell off his head, but he was too tired to fix it. Midnight gave him a smile, softly petting his hair.

"I like the new look." She handed him a cup of coffee, knowing he shared the same addiction as his father. The boy thanked her as she headed off to her next class. Izuku placed the cup on the table next to him and laid back down.

The rest of the day seemed to pass in a haze. Nezu commented on how it took Izuku a few more steps to beat him in chess, making Nezu worried for the child's wellbeing. The small creature also took note of the boys small cough that he had been trying to hide, he was going to inform Aizawa at the end of the day.

In another blur of time, it was soon the next day.

Izuku hadn't slept more than an hour that night. Hizashi, Aizawa, and Izuku arrived at the hospital once again.

"I though I told you guys not to come back so soon" He said softly. The three before him looked like they had been through hell, especially the boy who was trying his best to smile at the doctor. The boys skin was pale and his eyes looked sunken in. His silvery white hair made him look even more pale.

"So I'll cut to the chace. Izuku has developed two more quirks. The first is called Natures touch and the second is actually a form of your Erasure." He said, gesturing to Aizawa. The two heroes looked a bit shocked, while Izuku didn't react much more than lifting his head. The doctor flipped to a different page. "Also, it seems that your Quick healing quirk got a boost of some sorts. It's almost as if your body is trying to protect itself." Again, Izuku didn't have much of a reaction.

The small boy coughed into the bend of his arm. Hizashi placed a hand on the boys back as he coughed. Blood could be seen on the green sweatshirt. The doctor shared a concerned look with the family.

"I think we should run a few tests. I think something might be wrong." Izuku was going to protest, but couldn't find the energy to do it.

-----

A few hours passed and the doctor returned. Izuku and Aizawa were asleep on the bed. Hizashi sat at the bedside. He spoke quietly. "May I talk to you outside?" He looked to the bed, Aizawa was now awake. "Both of you."

A few minutes passed and Izuku woke up to the sound of crying. He stood up from the bed, following the sound. He got to the door and leaned himself against the frame.

"H-hey." He said with a scratchy voice. "Wh-what's going on?" Hizashi had big tears falling down his face and Aizawa's eyes were puffy and red. The doctor also had tears in his eyes. He was about to say something else when he got hit with a fit of coughing. He fell to his knees. The doctor and his parents rushed forward. Aizawa barely caught him before his knees hit the tiled floor.

He continued coughing, blood soaked his formerly green hoodie. Aizawa lifted the boy and brought him back to the bed. "Hey kid. The doctor has some news."

They sat down around the boy. "Izuku, we ran more tests on your blood and did a scan of your lungs. It looks like you sustained some serious damage to your respiratory system and for some reason, your quirk is taking longer than normal to fix the damage. Along with that, when we ran your blood tests again, we found remaining traces of a drug meant to induce quirk manifestation." Izuku's eyes flickered with fear. "You mentioned before that there were quirks injected into you that didn't manifest, correct?" Izuku nodded slightly. "I believe that this drug was meant to have those dormant ones manifest fully. Do you know how many quirks didn't take before?"

Izuku nodded. "There were eight failed injections that I know of, and I'm guessing two of them are the ones from the other night." The doctor nodded.

"We can't be certain when or if all of them will manifest,  but if they do, the toll on your body could become unmanageable." Izuku always knew that was a possibility.

Hizashi had tears falling again. He grabbed Izuku's hand. The small boy now had tears of his own falling. "W-why does this keep happening?" He broke into sobs. The fear and sadness he had been pushing down finally coming to the surface. He dug his face into his dad's chest, looking for comfort.

"I'll leave you three be. Before you check out, come see me and I can give Izuku something to help with his lungs." He then walked out quietly.

The three held each other as they cried. Each one worried about what was going to happen next.
