You lured me with all sweetness

I stand now with utter bitterness

You told me,' A precious gift are you'

But you never made it so true

I thought in my heart forever you would stay

Now you are somewhere far away

Was it my mistake to let you go?

Was it my mistake that this happened so?

We shared smiles and we wiped tears

Our friendship I thought would grow with the years

Impossible I thought for our friendship to end

Never I thought for another you would bend

You told me that day 'We are one'I felt half my battles were won

But...Now I stand in the sullen autumn

The depth of the bitter roots you don't just fathom

The memories of yours lie somewhere faded

Like the autumn leaves lie without being shaded

You brought everything to my life

The evergreen words enough to end any strife

You came with me through gale and torrent

Now you are hurting me every moment

I clasped your hands through you thick and thin

And consoled you when you broke down deep within

I smiled with you and celebrated your brightest days

Now in utter disbelief my heart sways

I thought everything in life but our friendship has an end

And you will always be a true friend

I was lucky to have a friend like you

And believed that you thought so too

One day you shattered my belief and my heart

And showed me that it was just the start

I missed our times from the bottom of my heart

When from my life, you did depart

You may now be happy and glad 

Hurting me and making me sad

A time will come when she will let you shed a bitter tear

That's when you'll realize how to me you were dear

When you see that the hand that promised to hold you has left you

That's the time everything will dawn on you!
