(( it's a short chapter but is filled with lots)))

Guess what all you Monday haters it's Tuesday! So now you can stop annoying people with your hatefulness for Mondays, thank you very much.

I yawned and rolled out of bed and ran my hands through my naturally messy and curly hair. I stood up stretching my arms over my head and then changed out of my clothes getting the uniform like outfit on. I glanced at myself in the mirror and saw a bruise on the left side of my face that was a pale, purplish color and a scratch under my eye that was shallow. I yawned again before stepping out my doorway and saw the halls were mostly empty all except for a greaser that I recognised to be Roco Manson who looked up when he heard me coming.

" Hey you're that new kid that beat up Ben and Marcus" Rocco said and I nodded my head and the guy just smiled broadly. " Man the Jocks were giving those two so much crap for getting beaten up by one guy" he told me and I smirked my self. " I would have made fun of them too" I said then walked out of the doorway feeling good about myself and made my way to the cafeteria for breakfast. I walked into the cafeteria and saw Lance sitting down with Info. The two of them were both eating cereal. A couple kids pointed at me and whispered to each other but I did not react. You would think these kids were used to a fist fight. I know I was.

I went to the lunch line and saw that the only thing that was being served was cereal.There was literally nothing else to eat and that kind of ticked me off. Where the heck were the lunch ladies? I sighed in anyone else and grabbed a package of fruit loops and sat down next to Lance.

" You ok?" I asked and looked at him. He had two bruises on his face one under his right eye and the other next to his chin. " Thanks to you I'm ok" Lance said smiling weakly and I nodded " I got to beat up two people who deserved it for free so I'm fine with it" I said and shrugged,both Info and Lance laughed.

Lance and Info casually talked but behind them the Jocks sat glaring at me at their table across the room. I could see the redhead who had a bandage over his nose who looked pissed and I just smirked to myself as I ate my fruit loops that tasted like flavored sugar.

"Hey guys, where are the lunch ladies?"I asked referring to the absence of the school chefs. Info shrugged " I'm not sure, I think they are both out sick" She answered and I rose my left brow. Oh that's just great I thought, sick nurses and cafeteria people. Just fan-freakin-tastic. God I am seriously beginning to dislike the school staff I mean come on. However I was thrown from my thoughts when a muffled bloodcurdling scream suddenly erupted from inside the kitchen where the cooks were supposed to be. Everyone went completely silent and one of the prefects, the same big black guy from yesterday began striding towards the door that led to the kitchen. I stood up in my seat becoming very interested.

As soon as the prefect opened the door a funny gurgling sound came from inside. The lights were off so we couldn't see what was going on inside the kitchen or who was in there. Then a low growl that gradually got louder started to issue from inside the dark kitchen and suddenly that same nurse from yesterday burst of from the kitchen and grabbed hold of the prefect and started biting his shoulder. The prefect let out a startled yell and tried to pry the nurse from his shoulder but the nurse clung to him a like a psychotic vampire. That nurse no longer looked like she had the day before, she had sagging yellow skin, bloodshot eyes, and cuts in her flesh that hung openly. I was frozen in my seat, I was to stunned to do anything but a sudden shrill scream from a girl woke me from my shock.

I got up and ran from the door and just managed to see the cooking lady that was the chef walk out the door. But she was no longer human, just like that nurse. I didn't see anymore because Info grabbed my arm pulling me with her as Lance sprinted for the doorway like everyone else. What the hell was going on?

I ran out of the school adrenaline pumping through my veins, Info suddenly stopped running right when we got to the cross road between the girls and the guys dorms. " Ok what are we doing?" She asked loudly and looked flustered with her brown hair all around her face and eyes wide. " I don't know" I answered and looked around to see all of the kids running around and yelling. I saw police cars, an ambulance, and even a fire truck all in front of the school. " Hey guys, I know it sounds crazy but.... I think that the zombie apocalypse is starting" Lance said and Info gave him the look that said "You dumb a fluff" but what he said did make some sense in a weird kind of way. I mean what other thing tried to eat people and when it bit you made you a zombie?

" That's a possibility but I say we bail out of this place and stay away" I declared and Lance nodded. " I agree if we stay then the police will take us into custody because they could think we are infected and there's no way I'm going to arrested again " Lance exclaimed but Info just looked at us like we were nuts but then sighed. " I'll go with you guys because there's no way I'm going to be left alone at this place. Go to your dorm rooms and pick up what you can carry. Then we can go into the city and hijack a car" Info said and I nodded. I had no idea how to hijack a car but she probably did so I trusted her. " Ok we meet back up here in five minutes then we get out of here" I said and they both nodded then I took off with Lance to the guys dorms.

Gosh this is so crazy I thought as I sprinted to my room and immediately went to the closet where my clothes would be but then I would need a bag to carry them. I grabbed my backpack and emptied it of its few contents which were mainly papers from yesterday and stuffed the three pairs of cloths I had and a couple socks. I looked around my room for anything else I could use but there really wasn't anything else, guess I would have to pick up that stuff later.

I ran back out my dorm and called out Lance's name and saw him come out from a dorm three doors down with a backpack as well that was stuffed full of items. " Ok let's go" Lance said and we pushed past the doors and jogged back to the place where we were to meet Info but there were about 6 police officers trying to evacuate the school and I saw Info in the crowd with a knapsack on her shoulder and she managed to squeeze her way past the horde of people to meet us. " Ok let's go find a car" She said but then there was another was a shrill scream that pierced was followed by more screaming and I looked back to the the nurse from the cafeteria as well as the two cafeteria ladies. They looked all zombified and obviously no longer human with their rotting skin hanging off their hollow faces.

Several gunshots rang out and hit the nurse right between the eyes and was dead right on the spot. But one of the cafeteria ladies managed to dodge the fire and grabbed one of the cops forcing him to the ground and bit him. I turned away and ran from the horrid scene and ran with Lance and Info right next to me. The firemen ushered us out once we got to the gates and we made a run for cars that were in a parking lot for a strip mall that was maybe 50 yards from Black Creek Academy. I spotted a grey truck similar to the one my dad used to have. " Right there guys!" I said pointing to the polished grey masterpiece and we all headed there. The door wasn't locked for some reason which was seriously awesome and Info went to work on hot wiring the car. I took her bag and put it in the back of the truck as well as Lances and my back packs.

Lance immediately went for shotgun and I walked up to where Info was hot wiring and saw her fiddling with several colorful cords. Hot wiring is a lot harder than they make it look in movies so it took her about two minutes instead of ten seconds like they show in movies. " Can you drive?" Info asked and I nodded my head. I had never driven a trunk since I was to young to drive my dads back when I knew him. But I could drive a normal car so how different could it be right?

I quickly hopped into the he front seat and put my seatbelt on but then I saw something disgusting. It was another one of those zombies, this one was another woman and she was advancing towards the car with long manicured fingernails. I quickly stepped on the gas and started driving and zoomed right past the cop cars and fire truck and saw the officers trying to the kids but there were a lot of people who had - similar to us- had bailed. I sighed and looked at the road ahead. What was this world coming to?
