<<(Y/N) POV>>
Before I could even blink, he grabbed my wrist and ran straight into his house, locking the door behind us.
"David? For god sakes, don't slam that door so loud! Your dad is sleeping!" His mother comes around with a cup of coffee and her mood changes as she saw me.
"Oh? Who's this, David?" She said as she came closer.
"Mom, this is my friend. (Y/N). I just met her today." He nudged me forward to shake her hand. I couldn't help but stare. She had gorgeous brown eyes and lovely black hair, her glasses showed a her eyes perfectly.
"Hello, sweety. My name is Darla. I'm David's mom." I grabbed her hand and lightly shook it.
"I-I'm (Y/N). I live down the s-street." I stammered. She giggled and nodded. The door made 3 loud thumps and a yell came from the other side.
"Open up glasses boy, or we'll come in a get you!" Darla frowned and handed her coffee to me, opening the door with her angered expression.
"What is the meaning of this!? Why are you boys banging on my door!?" She yelled. Tyler and his friends froze, they felt as if they came to the wrong house and disappointed the owner, which made me smirk.
"S-Sorry. Wrong house."
"Your damn right it's the wrong house. Why on earth would you knock on my door looking for my son!? Calling him names as well!" I was amazed, this mom had the nerve and strength to scream at any person she'd like too. "Now get off my property or I'm getting my husband! And you wouldn't want that!" They scattered off as she closed the door with a sigh of relief.
"Woah, my mom could never do that." I said and she tilted her head while grabbing her coffee.
"Why wouldn't she?"
"Well, she's been yelled at her whole life, I'm not sure if she would actually stand up for herself." I admitted she was confused but nodded slowly anyway.
"David, no staying up late this time." She glared at David.
"Ok, ma. C'mon (Y/N), the games are up here." He led me upstairs to his room. His room was rather large with a blue 2 person bed and some equipment. He had a laptop alongside a Xbox 360.
"How could you afford all this?"
"Christmas." I ran my fingers lightly along the console. My fingers left long black marks from the dust. "Now then, want to do your homework for the first time?" He led me to the swirly chair next to his laptop and turned it on. He logged in and pulled up Google, helping me sign in to our classroom. "What subject first?"
"Science." He clicked on my classroom and clicked on the first homework assigned.
"What would the world look like, with no oxygen?" He asked, I thought.
"It would be..black and there would be no light." He nodded and clicked B. For the rest of the time I was here, we did my online homework. He even let me do the rest of the homework that was late on there while he played games. "Oh my lord!" I leaned back and swiped my forehead, finally finished with all the missing homework.
"Feel any better?" He asked me. "Now that you got that done?"
"Much, thanks." I grabbed my bag and opened it, pulling out my math homework, including the late ones. I started working on them with a bit of help from David. Until 7:23, I was finally finished and everything was complete.
"You did it! And you're still alive!" David joked.
"I can't believe it..it feels as if this big weight has been lifted off my shoulders." I hugged David. "Thank you." He patted my back and we parted. We laid on his bed and stares at the ceiling, talking about random stuff.
"So..who do you like?" He asked me. I shrugged,
"Nobody really. I guess everyone there is such a douche that I hate them more then like them." I said. He nodded. "What about you?" I looked at him, he had a pink tint on his face.
"Promise not to make fun of me?"
"I promise." I held out my pinky, he intertwined it with mine and let go.
"I'm gay.." I was surprised but nodded, hinting for him to keep talking. "And I've grown a bit fond of Lui." I poked him in the shoulder with a playful smile.
"Oh! David's got a crush! David's got a crush!"
"Shut up!" He playfully pushed me. I laughed. He got off his bed and helped me. I grabbed all my stuff and hugged him.
"I know where I'll go if I need help with homework." He laughed and let go of me. We walked down stairs where his mom sat at the dining table, typing. She smiled up at us.
"Leaving?" She got up, and grabbed her empty cup.
"It's getting late so I'd might as well." She hugged me and smiled.
"Have a safe trip-" there were 2 quiet knocks on the door. Her mother frowned thinking it was the boys, I hid behind the wall just in case. When she opened it, from my view, she looked baffled.
"My, can I help you gentlemen?" She asked. I heard ruffling of keys then a piece of paper being taken out.
"Have you seen this girl?" These men sounded like they meant business, but when they said that, David shot a look at me.
"Um, yes. What would you need her for?"
"There's been a missing person report has been filed." He said, "we're just doing our job. Where is she?"
"Well, if you're going to search I'll have to see a warrant." I think Darla had a bad feeling.
"Ma'am, where is the girl." She stood her ground but I didn't want her to get snatched or arrested so I stepped out, standing in front of the door and in front of 2 police men. The looked at me, then the paper and grabbed my arm but Darla grabbed my hand.
"Wait! Where are you taking her?" She asked them. One got irritated and pulled my hand away from her.
"To her father."
