<<(Y/N) POV>>

I sat down in my second period class, science, surprisingly David was there too. He smiled 3 tables away from me and I blushed a bit, waving back. Tyler looked at me and turned his head to David, doing whatever he was doing I guess.

"Alright class, online homework last night was due this morning at 8. Today we're going to start a project on sun rays. To begin, I need to read the list of students who did their homework so they may pick their partners." My teacher, Ms. Aladon, picked up a clipboard from her desk and started reading off names.

"Tyler, Evan, Lui, Chandler, Melanie, Jason, Lillian, Kristen, Caitlyn, Franklin, Martin, Dane, Brianna, Ellen, Bridget, and Miranda." The teacher smiled and turned her gaze to me with a unamused expression. "I never called your name, (Y/N). Why?"

"I don't like to talk about it." I murmured.

"What was that? Speak up."

"I said I don't want to talk about it." I said a bit louder. She nodded and smiled back at the class.

"The rest of you can pick a partner and if you don't have one you may pick (Y/N). And also, before we begin, we have a new student. David, I know you didn't do your homework cause your new and rants fine, who would you like to work with?" She smiled at him. David stood up and casually walked over to me, sitting in the empty seat next to me, then pointing his index at me.

"Oh? Well, (Y/N), you don't have to work alone do you?" She said. "Alright, go ahead and pick your partners and get materials. Remember, we're making a sun oven!" She yelled a bit over the talking and shuffling around. Bridget and Miranda came over and stood in front of me and David.

"Bad move, new guy. She's such a bitch and a fucking weirdo. You can move away from her and sit with us if you'd like." Miranda, I could tell, already had a crush on David while Bridget had her eyes set with Tyler and she hates me cause she thinks I like Tyler too.

"Let me think, no. I'm fine right where I'm sittin'." He said and she scoffed.

"Your loss." The waltzed away. I smiled at David and he laughed.

"An actual smile! That's so pretty!" I blushed at his comment. He was soon abruptly stood up from his chair by Tyler, and brought to a counter where he pinned him and was talking to him. Evan did the same to me but on a different counter.

"If we ever see you hanging with his ass again, we will not hesitate to beat you both senselessly." He threatened, I was confused.

"Who do you guys think you are? My parents? Leave me alone and let me hang with who I want!" I said, he seemed pissed.

"Listen, Tyler likes you isolated and easy to spot. Not with a boy who is possibly swooning you over."

"What do you mean? Why does he-" Tyler came over and pushed David back in the seat next to me as he and Evan went back to work. I grabbed David's shoulder and crouched to his height.

"Are you okay?" He asked me. I nodded and returned the question and he answered with a nod. I looked back at them and then to David.

"What did Tyler say to you?"

"No, what did Evan say to you?" He asked.

"He said that I can't hang with you no more cause Tyler likes me isolated and easy to spot and not with you who can possibly swoon me over." I said and I heard a faint chuckle.

"Tyler said to me to find my own girl. And when I asked what does that mean, all he said was that there was a code amongst men and it states that he saw you first." My eyes widened as he wiggled his eyebrows. "You know what that means.."

"David. No, he's my bully not my-"

"He's your secret lover! He's your secret lover!" I put my hand over his mouth and silenced him as I looked around the room at a few staring heads but none that belonged to Tyler. I sighed in relief and let go of David.

"You could've gotten us beat up again or me pinned to another counter." I said. He nodded and looked at the clock, getting up and grabbing his stuff to get ready to leave.

"How come you never do the homework?" He asked

"It's complicated really..just problems at home."

"Are your parents..beating you?"

"No, no. I'd rather tell you at the end of school." The bell had rang and I collected my stuff and exited out of the class.

*~End of school~*

I sat on a rock at the back exit waiting for David to finish collecting his stuff.

"Such a freak." I groaned at Miranda's voice.

"Yeah, she doesn't even know what style is. She just wears this stupid black hoodie." Bridget tugged at my sweatshirt.

"Stop it.." I mumbled, knowing they would make a fool out of me if I spoke any louder.

"Or what? Your boy-"

"Leave her alone!" David came with his stuff from his locker and he looked beyond pissed. "What gives you the right to pick on her? Get going!" The girls growled but did as they were told. David held out his hand and smiled as I took it and kept hanging onto it as we walked to his house.

"You sure you have no problem with me using you computer for homework?" I asked, "I'll feel bad."

"Well, I'll feel worst if your scolded by Ms. Aladon in front of the whole class." He said, "it's the least I could do for you." We kept silent for a bit until I sighed and looked back at him, since we were near his home.

"I guess you wanna know right?"

"Yes." He said it quickly but sternly.

"My mother doesn't have enough money to afford a computer or any device for that matter. When my dad left her, he took most of her college savings she was gonna use for college. There was about $20,000 they could have lived off if I wasn't born."

"Hey, hey, don't think like rant. Think like this, if you weren't born, the world would've never been able to gaze upon such a beautiful smile." That cause me to turn pink and smile a bit. "See?" He added. He took a glance behind his shoulder for god knows what reason but it seemed to save us then cause he looked at me with a scared expression and whispered,

"Run."

[A/N]: I've been so busy with work and family so I haven't gotten a chance for this book considering I ended my last H2OVanoss book and I'm starting a new one. Sorry for the late update and for all of you who were anxious on this next part. I'll try and update. I promise Bye!!
