<<(Y/N) POV>>
I sighed and crumpled the paper in my pocket. I look at the clock out in the hallway, 5 minutes till class begins. I strap my back pack on and begin walking to girls health. Of course, I took the long way to avoid the guys, cause I know they'd be waiting at the entrance of the class. I open the class door and my teacher smiles.
"Hello, (Y/N). Just in time, we were just about to begin the lesson." She put a hand on my back and leads me to my seat. I sit down and all the girls stare at my messy ponytail but mostly me. The teacher started the PowerPoint and the girls turned their attention to the screen.
I sit down in my chair and pull out my math bi get out of my back pack. The Algebra teacher came in and stood in front of the class.
"Please pass up your homework from last night." I looked down as I grabbed the paper of the person behind me and passed it up. My teacher tapped on my shoulder after she collected the papers,
"I need to talk to you." She said and lead me out of the class.
"Hey, (Y/N)'s in trouble!" Tyler yelled, making the class laugh.
"Tyler! Quiet please, or I will call your parents!" The teacher yelled as she continued leading me outside.
"Yes?" I asked and she crossed her arms.
"You have a B. A middle B. I just don't understand, you do excellent on work in class but you never do any homework." I look down as I heard her sigh. "Are you sure nothing is going on at home? Should I call your mom?"
"No no. Please don't, I wouldn't want her to have to leave work to come and get me, it's a burden."
"But (Y/N), she's your mom. She loves you, she'd do anything, I'm sure."
"Not if she couldn't afford it.." My teacher stared at me in disbelief, I sighed. "Can I just go back in? I don't feel like talking about this." She nodded and opened the door for me. I stepped in side and took my seat.
"Right. Let's start the lesson, please open your work books to 327." I looked down at the page, it had an image of a mother hugging her daughter. I didn't notice I was silently crying until one of my tears hit the page and my teacher turned the page for me. I looked up at her,
"I think it's best for you to work ahead, dear." I nodded and started working.
~After School~
I slowly walked home, staring at the sidewalk not baring to look at other kids with friends. I stared at my history books until they were knocked out of my arms.
"Oops, should of payed attention, nerd." Evan sneered in my ear. "What's the matter? Can't speak?" He pushed me on the road, I sat there crying.
"Oh look! She's crying! That's hilarious!" Marcel laughed along with Evan.
"C'mon Marcel, let's get out of here she's not worth the time." They walked away as I collected my stuff. One of my pencils had rolled out in the road, I got up and walked to grab it and then the sound of brakes and a horn scared me.
"Hey! Get out of the road you stupid kid!" He yelled, I backed away as he sped away. I placed everything in my back pack, and headed home. A piece o paper was thrown at my head, I looked in the corner of my eye and saw Tyler trying to impress a bunch of girls.
"See ladies? Hit her right in the head. Headshot." He laughed, the girls giggled and hung on him. I ran into my house and locked the door behind me. My mom came around the corner with a bowl of what looked like soup. I sobbed a little and she ate the bowl down and came over to me.
"Is everything alright?" She asked, I shook my head, she hugged me tight. "I made your favorite with the check I got today." She led me to the table and set the bowl in front of me. I tabbed a spoon but stared at her, she was sitting across from me.
"Aren't you going to eat?" I ask and she smiled, shaking her head.
"I'm not that hungry." She said
"Liar. Here, have this." I pushed the bowl and spoon to her as I brought out the crumbs from the cookie earlier.
"Where did you get those?" She asked as she blew on the soup and took a bite.
"The janitor gave it to me. It was originally a fortune cookie until I unraveled it." I said as I ate the pieces. We finished our 'dinner' then she washed the bowl.
"Did you wash the pajamas?" I asked mom, she nodded and opened the cupboard they were drying in. "Thanks." I said as I went up stairs to put them on. I went into our bathroom and put on the pajamas, I brought my dirty clothes into my room and placed them in the hamper. I sat on my single person bed and looked out my window, I had no phone, no internet, no computer and no sort of console. I tucked myself in and shit off the lamp, closing my eyes not exactly thinking about anything except the fortune.
<<Dream>>
I opened my eyes, I smelled salt. I was on the beach on a dock, the sun was setting and I was in floral shorts and a tank top, I could never afford this.
"Beautiful isn't it?" A male voice said, I turned and Tyler came, with his swim trunks and a tank top.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I backed away from him.
"What're you talking about? We've been here for an hour."
"Don't play dumb with me, you know what've you done to me." His eyes widened.
"Who told you? I was supposed to tell me."
"What do you think I am, stupid? You did that to me everyday! Even until now!"
"I've never harmed you since we met."
"We met in highschool. This is the last I'll see of you, I just need to wake up."
"(Y/N).."
"Don't even say my name."
"I love you god dammit!" I froze.
"You what?"
<<End Of Dream>>
I jolted awake, breathing heavily.
"It was just a nightmare. It was just a nightmare.." I breathed. My breathing was normal now, I looked down and saw the tiny crumpled up fortune.
"That was supposed to be my bad thing to good?"
