Where are we suppose to go now? Jimmy won't accept us back into his home, we can't go back to Andy, it's just not safe and I don't want to go home. As I was driving, I looked at Lexi, who was sleeping in the passenger seat. She looked so peaceful, but I bet you she's freaking out as badly as me. She might not show it, but I know. Shit. I'm also out of gas, I pulled into the nearest gas station. I barely have enough for a gallon. What am I suppose to do? Damn it, I know what I'm suppose to do. I walked in an paid for it. When I came back out to fill up my tank, I let it go over. Normally it stops at the amount that you paid, but I did learn this from Jimmy. If you hold the pump long enough, it will fill it up some more. Yeah, I know it's stealing, but it's all I can do. I drove off, Lexi woke up.

"We had enough for a full tank?" She questioned very confused.

"Well, not exactly."

She sighed and rolled her eyes, "Let's just go home."

I shook my head, "No, I can't. I told you that. I don't want to go back."

"But Edgar, you stole gas."

"So? It's not going to stop me from living my dream. In fact, it made the screenplay a bit more interesting."

She let me do whatever I wanted. Truth be told, I don't think she wanted to argue and plus, I'm a pretty stubborn person. It was getting late and becoming an even bigger pain to drive. Soon I found myself in the shitty part of the city. Homeless people were out laying around, hanging out, eating scraps. Prostitutes hung around this area. I guess we found home. I  parked the car and got out, I walked up to a guy, who you wouldn't think was homeless. He looked pretty young with short, kind of messy black hair and dark brown eyes. He was wearing something rather normal. bark grey jeans with a grey hoodie and black converse. He seemed pretty laid back. I looked at him, making sure he was alive. I mean he didn't look like it.

"Hello?" I asked.

He rubbed his eyes and smirked, "You got my stuff? You don't look like my normal guy, then again, I did have a few hits." He began to laugh, it almost felt like he was too high to deal with anything.

"Actually, we're homeless and pretty much new at this." I pointed to my car with Lexi still inside.

"Ah. Then you want to see, Big Bud," He then pointed to a guy with with long brown hair and a stubby scruff, "I'm Vinny by the way."

I shook his hand, then walked over to Big Bud. I took a deep breathe and was about to say something, then he stopped me.

"Is it only you?" He asked.

I shook my head, "My girlfriend too."

"That your car?"

I nodded.

"Bring it here before anyone steals it." He replied.

Big Bud seems pretty cool, I mean it looks like he knows a lot of stuff. So, I went over to my car and drove it over where Big Bud was. Lexi and I got out. He smiled.

"She's cute." He said.

She smiled and blushed a little. Lexi will never admit it, but she loves compliments from complete strangers. We stood there, waiting for instructions on what to do. He got up and was wearing a grey button down shirt with tan slacks and black flip flops, he definitely looked homeless. He walked up to me with a big smile. Maybe he's crazy.

"Why are you homeless?"

"Well, my screenplay got rejected, then my brother kicked us out, then we left a home we were spotting in because it was way too dangerous for Lexi and now we're here."

He nodded, "I understand. I use to be a lawyer, well, paralegal, but still. It looks like you have a lot of stuff."

I looked back at my car, "Yeah, I do."

"Would you be okay with sharing some stuff?"

"Anything as long as we can stay here with no problems."

He slightly nodded, "You'll be staying with me tonight, but tomorrow, I'll put you with Vinny."

"Okay." I just don't want any more trouble. It's such a hassle.

Big Bud lives in a pretty decent size, abandoned dumpster. It's actually very roomy and does not smell like garbage. He had me bring my car back.

"You could actually live in there."

I shrugged, "I mean, it's not too bad."

He smiled and patted my head. That really through me off. I wasn't sure what I should do, so I just smiled. Can't wait until tomorrow, when I get to learn the real homeless life.
