Back to Edgar's POV

Okay, so I want to know what the Hell is happening. You can't just have guns pointed to people's head in the middle of the day! It's unheard of... Or maybe it's not around here. I'm just looking out for the safety of the kids. They don't deserve to see that. We were in my room, most of us were terrified. I looked at Jinx, who never looks scared, but I just knew she was. I mean, how couldn't you. Your own brother has a gun pointed to his head. Lexi rested her head on my shoulder. I put my arm around her. 

"Oh, get a room." Cassidy said from the other side of the room. 

Lexi shot a look at her, she was angry, "You got a problem?" 

She nodded, "Yeah, actually I do. You're not even pretty. You look like you're thirty." 

"I get it," Lexi shrugged, "You're just jealous cause I have a perfect boyfriend and you have no one." 

Cassidy pushed her. Lexi pushed back. I tried to break it up, but couldn't. It was actually kind of nice to see two people fighting over me. It made me feel special. Never had two girls fight over me. I gave up trying to break it up and went over to Maggie and Jinx. I looked at them.

"Where's Tommy?" 

Jinx shrugged, "Probably in his room, sleeping."

"Are you serious? Andy just does this?" 

They both nodded.

"And he doesn't tell us anything." Maggie added. 

That really pisses me off. Everyone in this house hold deserves to know what's happening. No matter how dangerous. 

"Hey, Edgar." Jinx looked at me.

I looked back at her, waiting to hear what she was about to say.

"I'm really scared. Andy has never been in a situation like this." 

I put my arm around her and pulled her in close, "It's going to be okay." 

She started to cry, the only reason why I know is because her tears landed on my hand. I'm not going to point it out, she seems to be scared enough. It felt like an hour has past. An hour of silence, except for Cassidy and Lexi fighting. Then they stopped, we all jumped and then stopped. There was a _Pow_. A gun was fired, I was trying not to cry. But that really scared me, I wasn't sure what had just happened, I'm not sure anyone was. A few moments of silence followed. Until we heard foot steps walking up the stairs. It sounded like one person, walking towards the door. The knob turned and when it opened, it was Andy, looking distressed. He had a stained red towel in his hand. I want to know what happened. 

"Everything is alright, now." He said and left. 

I followed him to his room, he tried to close the door on me, but I got in. He looked angry that I trespassed. But I'm not going to stand by with no answers. 

"What was that?" 

"Don't worry about it, Edgar." He answered.

"How could I not? You're own sister cried because she was so scared."

"I'm not dead, am I?" 

I shook my head, "But still. Yo-"

"I did not let you into this home, just so you could lecture me. I know what I'm doing is bad, but it's the only way my family won't die." 

"What about you? You're their family too." 

He nodded and looked down, "I know." He obviously feels really guilty about, but I'm not letting him go so quickly. 

I finally noticed what his room looked like, it was really clean everything looked expensive and there were a lot of photographs He looks like a kid in all of those. It was not what I expected, at all. Andy walked right pass me, heading downstairs. I followed, still wanting answers. 

"Andy! You can't just pretend like nothing happened! What was that gun shot about?" I asked as we walked into the kitchen. I kept on asking, over and over again, until I got answer. 

Andy picked me up by the collar and shoved me against the wall, "Why don;t you fuck off." 

Everyone saw what was happening. And it's no lie that I'm weak as fuck. You know what? This feels like high school all over again. Except I'm not being shoved against the wall for being a nerd. Lexi got angry real quick and came over to stop it. She pulled Andy off of me. 

"Look. If you don't like how I run things around here, you can leave." He was serious.

I looked a Lexi, I'm not leaving if she doesn't want to.  

She sighed, "I don't want to come home just to see you have a gun pointed to your head. If you can promise me that it will never happen, ever again, we'll stay." 

"You can't make me promise." 

She looked at me, I knew she didn't want to go, but I also knew that she didn't want to be around that. 

"Our door is always open." Andy knew our decision before we could even say it. 

Lexi and I went upstairs to pack. As we were packing, Jinx ran in, hugging me. 

"You can't leave! Please, don't!" She was really crying this time. 

I sighed, "I am so sorry, but if I could take you, I would." 

"Then take me!" 

I shook my head, "Andy needs you more than you think. But we'll meet again." 

Jinx looked at me, "Promise?"

I nodded. She let us finish packing. I'm going to miss this house and I have no idea where we're going. I wish I could move everyone to a fancy mansion and just live there with them. This is my new family and I'm happy with it, but like every family, we all have to drift apart at some point. We walked downstairs with all of our stuff. Everyone just kind of stood, not sure what to do. We said goodbye to everyone. Andy pulled me aside, I knew it was serious because he couldn't say it in front of everyone else. He took me up to his room. I will admit, my first thought was that I was going to die. However when we walked in, he went to his closet. He pulled out a big bag of sugar looking stuff. 

"If you ever need money or just something to get you by. I'm not forcing you to do anything with it. Just please take it." He put it into my bag. 

In case you haven;t guessed yet, it's cocaine. I was stunned by how much was there, that looks like a thousand dollars worth of stuff. Knowing me, I'm probably just going to steal it. I could never take drugs. It was finally time to leave for real. Lexi and I packed up my car and drive off. It was really hard to leave, I grew so attached to everyone. I'm going to miss everyone and no matter what happens, they will still always be my second family.
