I woke up only a few hours later, on the couch. I slowly sat up with a pounding headache and rubbed my eyes. I don't remember much, just wacking my head on the ground. I guess I got short term memory loss.
"Oh good! You're up!" Cassidy said rushing over to me.
Cassidy was wearing, yet another designer dress with black flats, the same cross necklace, with a white sweater an bright red lipstick. And I was still in my pjs.
I looked at her confused, then looked around for Lexi, "Where's my girlfriend?"
"Don't worry about her, she just went out." Cassidy seemed very clingy with me.
"Don't worry about Lexi? My girlfriend? The person I am in love with?" I was annoyed by that, "Yeah, let me just forget her. Where did she go?"
"Out with Andy and Jinx." She rolled her eyes.
Cassidy seemed annoyed that I was talking about Lexi and was worried about her. It's weird how she got so angry. Wait, she doesn't like me, does she? Oh, great. I honestly hope that's not true, I don't need to deal with that too.
Cassidy got back up and started to make tea, "Thanks for getting water by the way."
Oh jeez. That's what happened, I stole stuff. Not even a day after saying I wouldn't lose my morals, I fricking steal. What's wrong with me? I know I did it out of the greater good, but still. I said I would never steal and I did. I can't tell you what that does to me, how that makes me feel, Lexi is going to be so angry. And I refuse to lie to her.
I sighed, "Seriously, don't mention it."
After I had said that, Andy, Jinx and Lexi walked in. Andy was wearing dark blue jeans with black dress shoes, a white t-shirt and black hoodie. Jinz was wearing a black shirt that said, "Punk's not dead, Punk's sleeping drunk, dark plaid skinny jeans, the same black hoodie, a red spiky bracelet and black boots. Lexi was wearing a graphic tee, that was hard to see cause it was covered by one of my red plaid shirts, dark blue shorts and red converse. They didn't come bearing gifts, but Lexi was so happy to see me. She ran over to the couch and hugged me, tightly. I hugged her back. We both sat down and she sat so close me, she was practically on my lap.
"I'm happy you're okay. I thought you were really hurt." Lexi rested her head on my shoulder.
I put my arm around her and smiled. I kissed her on the cheek, then noticed that Cassidy had an angry expression on her face, clenching her fist.
"If you were so worried, then why didn't you stay with him?" Cassidy questioned.
That was a really good questioned. Lexi didn't want to answer, she just blushed. That made me nervous, was it something really bad? I looked at Jinx and Andy, trying to get some help.
"Lexi, you okay with me telling?" Andy asked.
Lexi nodded with her face getting ten times more red, "I have to use the bathroom." She hurried away. She must be really embarrassed. It's actually cute when she's like this, like a scared puppy.
"She was the last one to wake up, when she came downstairs and saw you past out on the couch, she knew something was wrong. Apparently you're always up before eleven. Anyways, Lexi began to freak out, crying and holding you, it was rather cute. Maggie and I tried to calm her down, but was no use, it was bad. Jinx was going out for a smoke and I dragged her with me. She was so embarrassed."
I smiled, got up and followed Lexi. I walked into a hallway by the kitchen and went to the bathroom. I opened the door and hugged her, "Don't ever be embarrassed, okay? You know I'll love you either way."
She nodded, wiping tears away from her face, "You just looked so cold, I didn't know what to do. I thought I lost you."
"Lex. I promise to never leave without."
I helped her clean up, then we went back out into the living room, where she sat next to me on the red couch. Cassidy just finished making the tea. She pored everyone a cup and brought them over two by two. The last two were Lexi's and her's.
"Here you go Lexi." Cassidy acts like such a preppy white girl. When she gave Lexi the tea, she "accidentally" dumped it on her lap. Everyone thought it was an accident, but I knew it wasn't.
"Ow! Fuck!" Lexi yelled, getting up. She ran upstairs to change.
"Oops, slippery hands, I guess." She shrugged.
I looked at everyone who didn't think anything of it, don't get me wrong, they felt really bad, but didn't see Cassidy at fault. I was annoyed about it, why the hell would she do that? Then say slippery hands? She didn't drop anyone else. I put my hands over my face and rubbed my eyes.
"What's wrong, Edgar, still stressing over how you stole?" Cassidy practically yelled it.
My head shot up, I was ready to tell her to shut up. But I looked up and saw Lexi. She just stared at me, I was waiting for a response. I looked at Cassidy, angry. I don't want Lexi to be angry at me.
"Maggie already told me," Lexi didn't looked as angry as I thought she would, "I would like to talk about that later, Edgar."
I nodded, "Yeah, of course. I'm sorry." I swear I told Maggie not to tell, I actually don't remember. Truth be told, I wanted to tell Lexi face to face. It feels wrong when someone else does it. Also, I swear to god, someone is trying to break her and I up. Do I really have to give a name?
