Alexis is quickly surrounded by Soldiers.

Alexis: "We're fucked!"

Samuel: "Don't you like stating the obvious!"

Alexis takes down two Soldiers by skewering them by the head in a row.

Alexis: "He really wants us dead."

Samuel: "Most soul bound people don't get this many Soldiers. He really wants us."

Meanwhile...

Amanda: "(drowsy) Huh?"

Amanda wakes up within the gray realm.

Amanda: "What did Alex hide from me?"

Amanda sees the golden light.

Amanda: "Is that where I have to go?"

Amanda begins to move toward the light until she hears a scream in the distance.

Girl: "(screaming) Anybody please help!!!"

Amanda: "(in head) The light can wait, I'm not going to leave someone in danger!"

Amanda moves in the direction of the scream.

Amanda: "Anyone there?!"

Girl: "Over here!"

Amanda finds a girl collapsed on the ground.

Amanda: "You alright?"

Girl: "Don't go to the light."

Amanda: "(shocked) Isn't that where we need to go?!"

Girl: "(crying) I lost nearly my whole family's very existence and I don't want to go there!"

Souldiers begin descending from the light.

Amanda: "Losing existence?"

Girl: "Only my siblings made it out."

Amanda: "(afraid) How did they get out?!"

Girl: "Our family has passed down the technique of soul bonding to avoid it."

Amanda: "(in head) Is this her secret? (out loud) Let's do it!"

Girl: "(hopefully) Will you really bond souls with me?!"

Amanda: "My friend is in danger, I need to get out of here as much as you!"

The girl and Amanda lock hands.

Chloe: "My name is Chloe."

Amanda: "I'm Amanda."

A white light surrounds the two.

Alexis: "(sweating) I can't keep up."

Samuel: "(panting) Could we only buy us one more week?"

Soldiers had beaten Alexis and covered her in cuts that have been slowly healing thanks to Samuel.

Alexis: "Game over?"

At this moment, Amanda wakes up.

Amanda: "Ready Chloe?"

Chloe: "(shakily) I hope so."

Twin, white pistols appear in Amanda's hands.

Amanda: "Die you bastards!"

Amanda sends a bullet of light through the cranium of a Soldier attempting to deal a decisive blow on Alexis.

Samuel: "Huh?"

Amanda steps in front of Alexis.

Chloe: "(happily) Sam?"

Samuel: "Chloe..."

Alexis: "You soul bonded?!"

Amanda: "I definitely wouldn't have understood up until now. Let's take these bastards down!"

Alexis grabs Amanda's hand.

Alexis: "Alright!"

Amanda quickly begins sending head shots left and right as Alexis slices gut to the neck.

Alexis: "That's all of them."

Time resumes.

Amanda: "Let's get to your place."

The two shakily walk to Alexis's home.

Alexis: "Good thing I live alone."

Chloe: "Guess we got lucky brother."

Amanda: "He your partner?"

Samuel: "Yes, soul bonders can talk to the partners of other soul bonders, but what are the chances of my little sister bonding with your friend?"

Alexis: "Sister?"

Chloe: "Two of four, our older brother and sister had already escaped."

Amanda: "Fate?"

Alexis: "We need to be careful if you haven't forgotten."

Samuel: "Two soul bonders are great to help each other from Soldiers. We should get on good terms with any others."

Alexis: "I was around the whole school the past week, no one else has bonded."

Amanda: "There is going to be a new student joining our first period. I hear that his family has moved from Japan."

Chloe: "We can always hope."

Samuel: "Classic Chloe."

Amanda: "We need to get home, mom will get worried."

Amanda heads home.

Samuel: "Why do you live alone?"

Alexis: "My parents passed away last year, they left me all of their money and house."

Samuel: "Ouch."

Alexis: "I'll get something to eat and call it a night."
