???: "(depressed) Same day as yesterday."

The girl gets out of a dark green bed.

Alexis: "(in head) Alexis Heartfield. Fifteen years old and straight A student freshman at Cross Academy."

Alexis proceeds downstairs.

Alexis: "(in head) I wake up, eat breakfast, go to school. It's a cycle that will eventually end, and I accept it."

Alexis leaves the dorms to go to school.

Alexis: "(depressed) Hey Amanda."

A blonde girl around Alexis's height rushes to a crosswalk.

Amanda: "(cheerfully) Lighten up Alex!"

Alexis: "(in head) My only friend ever. No one ever talks to me, so someone actually talking to me feels... relieving."

The two arrive at Cross Academy as the bell rings.

Amanda: "(cheerfully) Time for my English test. See you in History."

Alexis: "(in head) Same old classes to go to every day."

Several hours pass as the final bell rings.

Alexis: "(in head) Nothing changes."

Alexis and Amanda meet up at the school gate like always.

Amanda: "Today was like every other day."

Alexis: "(depressed) Yep."

This process repeats every day, until February 3rd, of Alexis's freshman year.

Amanda: "Looks pretty cloudy today. I hope it doesn't rain."

The walk light changes color.

Alexis: "(depressed) Let's get going."

Amanda happily jog across the street as Alexis walks.

Amanda: "(panicking) Look out!"

Several cars in flames rush toward Alexis.

Alexis: "(relieved) Is it over?"

The cars smash into Alexis's sides, snapping her bones in two and burn marks from the flames.

Amanda: "(screaming) ALEXIS!!!!"

Amanda quickly gets help to try a futile effort to save a life as she sees her friend's blood flow towards her as a small river.

Alexis: "(puzzled) Where am I?"

Alexis wakes up in a strange, gray space floating.

Alexis: "Is this the end?"

Alexis looks up to see a golden light.

Alexis: "Is that where I go?"

Alexis begins to move toward the light.

???: "No!"

Alexis: "What the?"

A soul of a boy is moving as fast as he can from the light.

Boy: "I refuse to have never existed!"

The boy bumps into Alexis.

Boy: "You don't want to go there!"

Alexis: "Why?"

Boy: "You lose your very existence!"

Alexis: "(puzzled) How?"

The boy grabs Alexis's hands.

Boy: "We need to soul bond! I'll explain everything afterwards."

Alexis: "I hope this isn't marriage."

Samuel: "My name is Samuel, and don't worry, it's not marriage."

Several golden figures begin descending from the light.

Alexis: "Why am I afraid?!"

Samuel: "Hurry! We don't have much time!"

Alexis: "How do we do this!?"

Samuel: "Just let our souls swing in harmony!"

A faint light surrounds the two.

Samuel: "Just a little more..."

The two vanish in an emerald light and Alexis wakes up in an ambulance.

Alexis: "(weakly) A dream?"

Samuel: "Nope."

Amanda: "(relieved) Thank god you're alright!"

Samuel: "A friend?"

Alexis: "So now I have you in my head?"

Samuel: "Yep. Our souls became one and your body acts as the host."

Alexis: "(in head) Why did we run away?"

Samuel: "I can hears your thoughts."

Alexis: "(in head) Why were you running Samuel?"

Samuel: "I would've lost my very existence and you would've been shortly afterwards."

Alexis: "(in head) How?!"

Samuel: "All god does is use the built up emotions and energy in our souls to fuel a power he doesn't need."

Alexis: "(in head, freaking out) That's just twisted!"

Amanda: "You all right? You're breathing like a madman."

Alexis: "(calming down) I'm fine."

Samuel: "But there are a few side effects of our soul bond."

The two hear a loud crash.

Amanda: "What the?!"

Amanda checks the front to find the driver dead.

Samuel: "They're after us already?!"

Alexis: "What are?!"

Samuel: "God's empty husks, Soldiers."

Alexis: "Side effect number one?"

The ambulance doors are ripped open by a strange gold figure.

Sam: "Stop laying down!"

Alexis: "I was just in a car crash, how the hell can I get up?!"

Samuel: "Trust me or we're dead again!"

Alexis stands up without feeling any pain.

Alexis: "Huh?"

Samuel: "Now we need to tap into Zero Fiction!"

Alexis: "What the hell is that?!"

Samuel: "A realm where the soul roams free."

The Soldier steps closer.

Samuel: "Channel our energy into the space around us!"

Alexis concentrates on the immediate vicinity.

Samuel: "Focus..."

Time around them stops and turns monochrome.

Alexis: "Is this Zero Fiction?"

Samuel: "Now time for my soul to do it's job."

An emerald green spear appears in Alexis's right hand as cherry blossoms fly through the wind.

Samuel: "No let's kick their asses!"

Alexis: "(panicking) Does it look like I know how to fight?!"

Samuel: "Just swing the spear around and hit them!"

Alexis appears to move fluently as she swings in perfect rhythm.

Samuel: "(shocked) Fast learner?"

Alexis decapitates the Soldiers with ease.

Alexis: "I have no idea!"

Time begins to move again as the spear vanishes from Alexis's hand.

Alexis: "(in head) Do you mind explaining how I can stand Samuel?"

Samuel: "The host heals at a rapid pace the moment the soul binding returns the soul to the body."

Alexis: "(in head) That makes no sense whatsoever."

Amanda rushes to Alexis.

Amanda: "(shocked) How are you standing?!"

Samuel: "Just say you got lucky. Only those who have soul bonded can have any hope about understanding."

Alexis: "(depressed) Got lucky and didn't break anything."

A helicopter flies above the ambulance.

Samuel: "Looks like someone is going to be popular."

Alexis: "(depressed) Great."
