The next day...

Grace, Alexis, and Ike are on the road to Souls and Medicine.

Bell: "So Requiem is ready for us?"

Faith: "I don't think we're ready for him though."

They pull into the parking lot.

Samuel: "That sounds about right."

They head inside to meet with the others.

Shoma: "H-Hey guys."

The gang is all here.

Alexis: "Then let's go see Requiem."

Everyone: "Zero Fiction!"

They make the dive...

Meanwhile...

Requiem: "So they're almost here?"

Requiem: "(laughing) Why would you doubt me?"

The heroes arrive in the grey space.

Marcel: "So you're Requiem."

Requiem: "The two and only."

Grace: "Two?"

Red and gold light flashes in his eyes for a split second.

Requiem: "I am the soul bonded creation between Hymn and Verse."

Tyler: "Say what now?"

Requiem begins to laugh.

Requiem: "(laughing) That's just the reaction I expected!"

Requiem quickly stops.

Ike: "So that's something that we actually didn't think about."

Requiem: "Verse was the creator of the Soul Bond, why wouldn't he be able to use it?"

A golden scythe forms in Requiem's right hand.

Requiem: "We'll be waiting for you."

Requiem's scythe fades away.

Requiem: "We're right here."

Everyone exits Zero Fiction.

Chloe: "Requiem had a few cards up his sleeve."

Nia: "That and Wratience literally committed suicide."

Ethan: "If we couldn't beat Wratience, then how're we going to beat Requiem?"

Moment of silence...

Zeke: "You need some help?"

Zeke comes up from the basement, holding the seven coins.

Amanda: "Zeke? Why do you have the Soul Coins?"

Zeke: "You know how the last two sets gave you all some level of new strength to take down Hymn and Verse?'

The group remembers their last two great battles.

Alexis: "The Virtues gave us better elemental control and the Sins unlocked the Soul Swap."

Zeke: "Exactly, but they don't know about this."

Zeke passes everyone one of the coins.

Zeke: "So what would having the fusions bring against Requiem?"

A light bulb sparks in their minds.

Ike: "That could be just the right trump card!"

Alexis has to hold Ike's because he's a dog.

Faith: "Then we're going to get our gear to the best it can be and head over!"

They all nod in agreement.

Lucas: "Let's get ourselves together!"

They all head home to begin their preparations...
