I hate the way they treat me
Like if I am an object

I wish they would just understand
I am just human

Please try to treat me
Like a human
See me as what I am
Not what you want me to be
Gave me rights just like theirs
Don't underestimate me

We come in all forms
Black, white, pink, brown
The colour of my skin
Shouldn't be your worry
My religion shouldn't be an issue
What I wear shouldn't be a problem

Don't give me those look
I am human after all
Don't stare at me that way
I have eyes after all

So please let me be
Let me live in peace
Don't change who I am
For your sanity

My skin colour is white
Oh, I am black

They look at me
And tell me
I don't belong

She is hideous
She is ugly
She is crazy

They say those words
Not thinking how much
It truly hurts
