     I sat next to her hospital bed, her pale body sleeping as the heart monitor beeped frequently. I held her cold, lifeless hand in mine, wishing it'll hold back.
     "You have to fight through this. After what we've been through, you can't leave me." I felt my eyes burning with the tears I dare not to let go. Looking onto her face, I just wanted to see those beautiful eyes to reassure me.
     And then it happened. Her eyelids cracked just a little bit and my heart filled with hope. But the next second only came so quick, her body started twitching. She began gasping for air and my heart sank once more. Her hand was drawn away from mine and I felt the cool hair hit my palm.
     "(Y/N)!! Oh my god!!" I called out right before two nurses and a doctor came running in the room. My babygirl was still gasping for air, wanting that breath of life. One nurse held me by the shoulders, trying to hold me back.
     "(Y/N)!! NO, (Y/N)!!!" "Sir, please stay calm!! We will do everything we can. Please, wait out here." The nurse left me in the hallway with three chairs. I took one, reminiscing the events that just occurred.
     My heart started to beat so fast that I could feel the anxiety start to build up in my lungs. I ran my hands through my hair, pulling at them to maybe distract me from my intrinsic feeling. I rested my elbows above my knees and i put my hands over my mouth.
     I wasn't very religious, but I did believe in someone watching over us. And so I prayed. I folded my hands together, resting my thumbs on my forehead.
     I asked Him to keep my angel safe, I asked Him for his help, I asked for His mercy.
     (Y/N) and I have had our moments that we can never speak of, but even after all that, I can't bear to lose her another time if it means she'll leave me forever.
