Medyo in-edit ko po ang Kabanata 34. I pre-introduced Terry who is actually the lady behind the reception desk. Para po hindi kayo malito. I just said there the moment that she saw Zai.

Abala si Ero sa paglilinis ng kaniyang espada noong makarinig siya ng pagkatok mula sa pinto. Nagtaka naman siya dahil dito. If it was the others, they'll just open the door without knocking. He sheathed his sword and put it aside. Lumingon muna siya kay Zai na kasalukuyang natutulog bago lumapit sa pinto.

Binuksan niya ito at nagtaka na lamang noong makita ang isang babae sa kaniyang harapan. May bilugan itong mga salamin at ang buhok nito ay nakatali sa dalawang braid na nakalaylay sa kaniyang mga balikat. It was the girl at the reception desk. Her hairstyle just changed and she seems more comfortable in her new look. She looked really stiff behind the reception desk before.

"Can I help you?" tanong ni Ero sa babae.

The girl flinched as if she just realized that the door already opened. She looked confident before but she looks timid now. She hesitated first before she spoke in a low and calm manner, "S-Sorry po kung nakakaabala ako sa inyo. Nakita ko lang kasi yung kasama niyo kahapon.. at mukhang hindi maganda ang kondisyon ng kasama niyo.." nahihiyang saad nito at tumingin kay Zai na nasa kama.

Humarang naman si Ero sa linya ng kaniyang paningin, "I'm sorry but it doesn't concern you." they can't trust any residents here.

The girl pursed her lips because of the rejection but she shook her head and suddenly looked at Ero's eyes with determination that made Ero quite surprised, "But I can help! I have a healing ability," she then looked down with a solemn expression. "I was just worried.. her condition is pretty similar to his."

Ero's brow raised with her last sentence. Just what did she mean by that? But as he stare at the girl's honest eyes, he can't help but to believe her words. He was about to talk but the girl looked up again, "Don't worry! I'm not like them. I have no experience in any combat. I work in the medical field. If I do something suspicious to the patient, you can kill me." she said as her honest eyes stare directly at Ero's. Ero was curious with what she said but his attention was caught by her last words.

Nagtaka bigla ang dalaga when Ero scoffed then he began to laugh. The girl tilted her head, curious about his sudden laughter. Ero's laughter slowly calmed down as he look at the girl again, "If you really do something suspicious, I'm not the one who's going to kill you. The patient will. Believe me."

Nagtaka naman ang babae sa sinabi nito but Ero already opened the door wide to let her in. Pumasok naman siya at naglakad patungo sa kama na kinakahigaan ng dalaga. Ero followed behind her as he continue to speak, "I'm telling you. That's not a normal patient."

The girl glanced at him, "Is she a daughter of a well-known man?"

Ero shook his head slowly, still wearing an amused smile. "That's not what I meant." Ero stared at the girl. Having a healing ability is quite rare. This is an opportunity for him to see it with his own eyes.

Muling ibinalik ng dalaga ang kaniyang paningin sa babaeng nakahiga sa kama at umupo sa bangkong nasa tabi nito. She glanced at her face and she can't help but admire how perfect her features are. What caught her attention is the woman's long eyelashes. But she jerked up when the girl slowly opened her eyes, "Ero, I never told you to let a stranger in." the girl almost shivered with the coldness of her voice. With the way she acts, you wouldn't even guess that she has sickness.

Inayos ng babae ang kaniyang salamin, "M-My name is Terry. I can help you."

Zai smirked, "With a healing ability? Now, that's interesting. If you fail, would you mind if I cut a limb?"

Natigilan naman ang babae sa sinabi nito. Ero chuckled, "I told you. She's not a normal patient--"

"Fine."

Natigilan naman si Ero sa sinabi ng dalaga. Zai finally glanced at her direction. The girl's eyes are full of determination and it's almost shining as Zai can see how honest she is. The girl clawed the fabric of her skirt and speak again, "But I won't fail. I won't ever allow myself to fail when I'm healing a sick person. Failures can lead to worse situations and I don't want my patients to suffer."

Ero was surprised with her words but eventually smiled. As a doctor, he acknowledges the girl's passion. Zai just continued staring at her determined eyes. Zai began to sit up, it was a struggle because of the headache but she eventually succeeded. Zai just stared at the blanket that is covering her lower part, "For some reason, I hate you."

Zai's eyes widen when the girl touched her hand, "I'm not asking for love anyway. We're the ones who give."

Zai stared at the girl's eyes. Her cold ones stared at her warm eyes. It was full of kindness and care. Very different from her emotionless ones. Zai pursed her lips. Yeah.. I really hate her..

Zai averted her gaze, "Love won't heal the entire world."

But Terry just smiled, "It will."

Hindi na muling nagsalita ang dalaga pagkatapos no'n. Ero silently chuckled as he stare at Zai's face and thought: Finally met someone who oppose your beliefs huh? Ain't that good?

Nagsimula na si Terry sa pagpapagaling rito. Her hands were enveloped by green lights as she face her palms in front of Zai who is just letting her do what she wants. But Zai's eyes widen as if she was struck by pain. Ero's and Terry's eyes widen when Zai aggressively slapped her hands away.

Ero glared and spoke up out of anger, "Zai what are you--"

Lalong nanlaki ang kanilang mga mata dahil sa biglaang pagsuka ni Zai ng dugo. Ero stared at the blood that she vomited. Mas marami itong sinuka ngayon kaysa noong nasa barko pa sila. Zai is already on her fours as blood continue to come out of her mouth. Zai gritted her teeth, "Ero! Get her out of here!"

Terry looked terrified with the sight. She don't know what happened. Maski si Ero ay hindi makagalaw dahil sa nasaksihan. But he immediately snapped back and went to Zai. "Hey! Keep yourself together! Zai!"

Zai coughed then she glanced at Terry, "That power... it's from a God isn't it?"

Nagtaka naman sina Ero sa sinabi nito. Zai shut her eyes tight and covered her mouth. She read it before in the Historia. Once in a hundred years, a special child is born. This child will be blessed by the gods. The child is considered as a gift for humanity and its power is sacred.

Ero held her shoulders, "What the hell are you talking about, kid?! If you know something, tell us!"

"I already told you, didn't I?!" nagulat na lamang si Ero sa biglaang pagsigaw ng dalaga na tila ba iritadong-iritado ito. Zai's sharp gaze directed to him, "Holy doesn't fit me at all."

Ero gritted his teeth to stop himself from panicking, "This is what you meant?" then his eyes widen when he realized something, "Then.. how about Avis' power..?" he whispered.

Zai was already sweating and her face is pale as paper but she managed to show a smirk and whisper, "What do you think? A demon's body and a god's power is compatible?" she then panted as if she's trying to catch her breath. She groaned and continued to speak, "Gods don't just give blessings and gifts to anyone. Sometimes they give poisons. Avis didn't just give me a burden. She also gave me a f*cking time limit."

Ero cursed under his breath, he then looked at Terry, "I'm sorry but please get out. It isn't a nice sight and--"

"No, please let me stay. I'm responsible for this," Terry looked down at her hands, "Your symptoms are very similar to Zen so I thought I could help you. But I was wrong. I failed. This power can help Zen who is a half-demon but why is your body rejecting it?"

Zai began to calm down and her breathing finally stabilize. She was intrigued by the name that she mentioned. "You are Zenlhoir's personal healer?"

"You know the general?" nagtatakang tanong nito. Zai breathed out and began to sit down. Inalalayan naman siya ni Ero. Zai clenched her jaw. She got worse again.

Zai didn't answer her question and just decided to keep quiet. The silence between them was ruined by Terry when she spoke again. "Uhm.. just like what we talked about. You can cut my limb--"

"No need. It'll just create another trouble. I have enough trouble for one day and I have no room for more." Zai said and stared at the girl's face as she sadly lower down her head. This girl is Zenlhoir's only healer and Zenlhoir would truly be upset if his only way out of his season would lose a body part. No matter how much she likes to have a battle with the guy, she can't right now. She'll only kill herself and she can't die yet.

Ero just stared at Zai's face. He can't help but to wonder what is her ancestors' sins? His view of Avis is beginning to have stains.

The door opened and it immediately revealed Sinbad and Rui. Their eyes widen with the amount of blood on the bedsheets and floor. Rui run to Zai and hugged her side. Zai just touched his head as she keep her eyes on Sinbad who's walking to them.

He glanced at the stranger but eventually looked back at Zai's eyes. "Let's talk when the others gets back."

Terry was surprised when someone suddenly came in from the window in a hurry. Asta's eyes widen with the blood, "What the--" she then glanced at the unknown girl, "Who the heck is that?"

But she eventually shook her head and looked at Zai's eyes, "We have a problem."

Zai's eyes sharpened and they all shouted her name when she suddenly grabbed her sword and jumped out of the window. Ero gritted his teeth, "Does her body have no limits?! Damn it!" he said and also jumped out of the window.

"Shane that bastard, I'll surely shred him into pieces." Asta groaned and jumped out of the window as well. Sinbad and Rui followed them.

Terry looked at all the blood that Zai lost. She pursed her lips and her eyes showed guilt. "I shouldn't have come here. I only made it worse."
