In the monster dimension, the ship was sailing fine and they were doing salvage operations to get it back in operation. Everyone was busy with keeping the ship in check; Mekuboto was helping with the new supplies and Elysium was helping her with direction and placement.

Elysium: Over here Mekuboto.

Mekuboto set down the barrels and went back to Elysium.

Elysium: Thanks Mekuboto.

Mekuboto was happy to be off assistance. Elysium and Mekuboto went to the bridge.

Elysium: All barrels sorted captain.

Captain Harley: Very good.

Just then Mekuboto smelled something. She went up the mast to the crow's nest where Jessica was keeping an eye out around the ship. She went straight up to the flag and was looking around. Elysium came to the bottom of the mast and looked up.

Elysium: What is it Mekuboto!?

Mekuboto looks to a side of a ship and was growling at the water.

Elysium: The water?

Mekuboto pointed at her hand which meant the ring.

Elysium: Who has the ring?

Nico: Heads up!

Nico threw the ring at Elysium and he put it on, he went into the water and was looking around, he adjusted his eyes and saw something in the water. There were mermaids coming their way and they were dressed like pirates. Elysium headed back up to the ship and got the water off.

Elysium: Some mermaids are coming on their way and they don't look happy.

Captain Harley: Those would be the Sirens, a bunch of mermaids that sink ships and steal loot. Man all battle stations!

Everyone went to their battle stations and got ready. Once the Sirens were in range they opened fire, Everyone tried to help as much as they could but they were losing because they had nothing much to hit. Just then Mekuboto went to Elysium and grabbed the ring from him.

Elysium: What are you doing!?

Mekuboto put the ring on and jumped into the water. She turned into a hybrid and saw the mermaids, it took a little learning to swim but she got the idea. She started to defeat the mermaids one by one; it only took 30 minutes to repel them and not get to the ship. She caused them to turn around and head in the opposite direction. Mekuboto came back up to the ship and shook the water out of her fur. She took off the ring and gave it back to Elysium.

Captain Harley: Whoa, she is packing more than she looks.

Elysium: Will that stop them?

Everyone heard a loud bang and a cannonball was coming towards the ship, Mekuboto saw the cannonball and caught it with her bare hands. The momentum managed to push her to the other side of the ship but she managed to stop before she went over the edge just in time. She dropped the cannonball but her hands were smoking.

One of the crewmen brought over a bucket and she put her hands in to cool them off.

Jones: Ok, that was crazy.

Human: No shit.

Everyone turned around and saw where the cannonballs came from; five ships came out of nowhere and opened fire. Elysium put a shield up and blocked the incoming shots but he wasn't good at holding it up long. He got knocked back like he got hit with one.

Elysium: Ok, I'm not doing that again until I get more training.

Captain Harley: At least we got protection from the initial fire.

Human: You should rest, tanking all of that was nasty.

Elysium: No kidding, I got to debug again.

Jessica: How are we going to get rid of those ships, last time I checked we don't have the firepower.

Captain Harley: We can't out-gun them but we can out-run them but someone has to keep anyone under us.

Human: We run a train, thirty minutes with the ring to repel anything coming our way.

Jessica: We need to run them into something.

Captain Harley: Not something, someone there should be a battalion not too far from here.

Elysium: But you still got to do some damage to at least keep them at the same speed.

Mekuboto looked around and there were some cannons on the deck, she undid the ropes and lifted it to the back of the ship.

Captain: She may be primitive but she has a good idea.

Jones: Jess, get in the crow's nest and provide some cover fire, take out anyone trying to make a shot.

Jessica: You got it.

Jones: Everyone else, let's keep those pirates off our back.

Once the cannons were set up and anchored. Jones, Nico, and the two other humans took turns along with Mekuboto. Nico went first and jumped in. Even though they were hybrids they could still use their weapon and magic underwater. They kept it up for the next four hours with the team switching out by timing 30 minutes and get out of the water, then they would dry off, switch and the other person would take their place. They came close and switched, the crew kept the ships at bay with the cannons and Jess's help.

When Elysium was debugged he joined the team and helped out with magic attacks and heading into the water too.

Captain Harley: Where are they, they should be around here somewhere.

Elysium: Mekuboto, need your nose again!

Mekuboto went up to the top of the mast and was sniffing around. She caught the scent of something and she stopped a cannonball with her arm that was headed to her face. She pointed a little to the left of the ship. The captain turned the ship towards that direction. They kept it up for another hour and then they saw the battalion.

Jess: Captain, the battalion!

Captain Harley: I see them!

The battalion saw them and they were in trouble, the were steering their way to them and opened fire at the pirates behind them and a familiar friend came to the rescue, it was the huge snake that couldn't come to their rescue before. It got behind them and provided cover for the ship to get to safety, the other ships was clear to open fire and they drove the pirates away. Elysium was in the water looking at the battalion fight.

Elysium: Now that was close.

Everyone on the ship breathed a sigh of relief; the battalion came back around and came to the ship. All of the ships were lined up and the Captains were talking.

Captain Harley: Thanks for the assist, Captain!

The other Captain was a Lamia.

Lamia Captain: When your humongous friend came to us after taking a couple of cannon shots and explaining what happened. We started to follow him and he led us straight to you.

Captain Harley: Not without a little help of our own.

Mekuboto came down from the crow's nest and went with the team.

Lamia Captain: Whoa, where did you find her!?

Captain Harley: We found her in an iceberg.

Lamia Captain: She has those chains on her, is she a slave?

Captain Harley: No idea at the moment, but she is under the protection of the team.

Lamia Captain: Wait a minute, we heard there were six of you but there is only five.

Elysium came up out of the water in hybrid mode, shook off the water and took off the ring. He changed back to normal and Mekuboto went to Elysium.

Elysium: Easy Mekuboto.

Lamia Captain: He commands her?

Captain Harley: He trusts her since he is the one that got her out of the ice.

Lamia: Then we shouldn't hold you up further, we will give you an escort to the docks.

The battalion escorted the ship to the docks at South America. When they got in the port everyone got off and came together.

Jones: This is where we part ways.

Captain Harley: But not for me, I'm joining your team to travel the world and stop whoever did that damage to my ship.

First Mate: What are your orders Captain?

Captain Harley: Take the ship and wait for us on the other side, once you receive repairs and resupply.

First Mate: Aye, Aye, Captain.

Jones: We all should resupply after that trip at sea.

Nico: Let's see what we collected and should take for the trip.

They went back on the ship and were sorting through the gold and artifacts they found from salvaging.

Jones: Let's see what we have.

They found gems, equipment, accessories and trinkets. They took along the mermaid's ring in case they needed it, Jones found a shoulder armor in rare class, Elysium found some magic rings in rare class, the human paladin found a shield in epic class, Nico found some knives in epic class, the human swordsman got a sword in rare class, Captain Harley found a pirate sword in epic class and Elysium found two special rings for Mekuboto. He put them on and an ice aura was coming from her hands.

Elysium: That's all that we are going to need, the rest can stay here.

Captain Harley: One thing too, Mekuboto has to stay close to Elysium, since she still has those chains on, they still think she is a priceless slave from somewhere.

Human: They don't have jails?

Captain Harley: Kind of yes and no, you have a set numbers of imprisonment and work before you are set free and you can't keep them for how long they are for unless you want to face imprisonment.

Elysium: Mekuboto, stay close to me, I don't want you hurt.

Mekuboto stuck close to Elysium as they departed from the ship, they got supplies and settled the repair fee for the ship.

Captain Harley: We better stay at the inn for the night, it's getting late.

Nico: Yeah.

They headed to the inn and bought a big room with pillows and sheets, since we are in the monster dimension the rooms are way bigger to accommodate for each type, Captain Harley wove a really big web for everyone to get some rest. They used the pillows and sheets to get comfortable. Nico took watch this time while everyone else got some rest. Mekuboto was holding onto Elysium tightly, his sensors could feel the pressure coming from her but it was minor compared to him. He woke her up a little and shifted so that some of the pressure was off and he could hold her.

Elysium: Its ok Mekuboto, no one is going to take you from us.

Mekuboto loosened her grip, which is really tight by the way but compared to him, piece of cake. He used his hands to try to comfort her better. She soon fell asleep and he went into sleep mode. That was one section of the quest down but how much more to go?
