The next day the team was busy with their projects. Artemis went to talk to some of the diseased dozen.

Artemis: Hello, Anyone here?

#2: Hi, who are you?

Artemis: My name is Artemis; I am a harpy.

#5: You don't look like a harpy; you have mechanized wings.

Artemis: Pure fixed me up when I had a parasite in me from another dimension draining me and making me do things that I didn't want to. He mechanized me to survive and to be able to help the team. I hope he can fix you guys like how he fixed me.

#8: We would really like that.

Artemis: What are your stories, I would really like to know them.

#2: We each have different stories but mine comes from a family bloodline. It's called Leukemia it is a rare disorder that makes me have more white blood cells than normal.

Artemis: White blood cells?

#5: The type of blood in your body to fight off diseases.

Artemis: Shouldn't that be a good thing?

#2: I was doing way too much in my body and it was starting to kill me. I had blood transfusions to try and counter it but it was no use, I was creating way too much white blood cells and had to get a portable transfuser to switch out my blood and store the white blood cells. I was sent to Shen to see if the problem can be fixed and he subjected me to cryogenetics to slow down the damage, but I still need a transfusion every now and then so I can at least enjoy a few things.

Artemis: So that's why that machine is on your back.

#2: Yes, it's the transfuser.

#5: Oh, the tube is full, let me switch that out for you.

#5 grabs an empty tube and quickly switches it out, then he grabs a one filled with blood and switches it out with the empty one.

#2: Thanks.

#5: No problem.

#5 places the tube in the chute to head to the lab for processing.

#5: We all have limits and mine is a little weird.

Artemis: Define weird?

#5: Even though my disease is non-contagious it actually evolved into something even I didn't expect. I have diabetes which means a certain chemical in my body doesn't get produced enough it's called insulin. They gave me a pen to administer the chemical but it wasn't enough. I was going in and out of consciousness until I touched someone and it gave me a surge but it didn't come without a cost. Somehow I absorbed most of the chemical from the doctor and nearly killed him.

Artemis: That's terrible!

#5: They gave him some insulin to stabilize him and wake him up. They gave me some long clothing and gloves in order to not take it from anyone else. They sent me to Shen when they found out that he could slow down the rate the diabetes needed and give me a more concentrated insulin so that I could remain awake when I need to.

Artemis: So that thing on your arm is?

#5: It's a device that gives me the correct dosage and works off of my heartbeat to keep it charged.

Artemis: Wow that is really weird and interesting at the same time. So what is your story #8?

#8: Even though I was in perfect health I started to develop tumors out of nowhere and it was very random.

Artemis: Tumors?

#8: Inflated sections of the body which don't have cancer.

Artemis: Ah.

#8: They started to grow in weird places my blood vessels, nerves and other places.

Artemis: Didn't they go back down?

#8: When given the correct medication, yes and no. When they got rid of one another one developed somewhere else but my body was weakening from the treatments. They then stopped treating me and sent me to Shen for cryogenetics in order to slow the tumors and gave me an antibody to eat away at the tumors so that I could be alive longer and be able to be stable for treatment.

Artemis: That's like being near death all the time.

#8: Yeah, but we manage to live through it.

Artemis: So what do you guys do?

#5: We have various hobbies and interests to keep us occupied. There are specialized cryogenic computers and games for us to use, if you want we can play a few games with us.

Artemis: I still have to learn some things on this earth but it would be fun to try. Pure can you set up a way we can play?

Pure: What is the game of interest?

#8: Let's start with something simple like chess.

Pure: Hang on, I think I had an old chess program stored somewhere.

Pure finds the chess program and installs it for them.

Pure: Here is a guide to get started on what each piece can do.

Artemis: Thanks.

Artemis starts playing chess with #5 first. Pure leaves them to play and he gets back to work, he checks on Trinity on the carbon dioxide plants.

Pure: Hey Trinity, how are the plants coming?

Trinity: The first one is almost complete and is centered in China. We had the idea of using the carbon coming from the factories directly into the engine and power it more efficiently. We have also taken the absorbers for collecting carbon from the air onto the building and surrounding buildings in order to collect enough to power it. The oxygen we get from the plant is either stored in tanks for medicinal use or released back into the air elsewhere so that we won't lose density. The other chemicals that are with the carbon are separated and used for other purposes from nitrous for power boosts to hydrogen to power other stations to provide power equalization so that there won't be a power surge.

Pure: Nice job, Trinity any complications with the engine testing?

Trinity: Just testing it now. Are you ready over there?

Worker: Waiting on your signal.

Trinity: Start it up.

The worker starts up the engine and it roars like a monster.

Pure: That is what I like to hear!

Worker: That's about 500,000 horsepower to power cities for decades!

Pure: Excellent job you guys! Make sure you tighten the bolts down on that monster and make sure you soundproof the room; we don't want to get any disturbances about the engine.

Worker: Roger that, sir.

Pure: Where is the next location for a factory?

Trinity: Next one is being built in the US, I have to check in with them soon.

Pure: Ok, I'll let you get back to work.

Trinity: OK, later.

Pure: Later.

Pure heads towards the cafeteria while reading Vincent's report.

Pure: Vincent, this should make great hull armor and extra protection for any VIPs.

Vincent: But it needs something to keep the shape we give it.

Pure: I know adding Nanites to the mix would be overkill, but they need something to provide power for long periods of time.

Seth: An electromagnet can hold it in place and provide power for them.

Vincent: About that, wouldn't that mess up the instruments on the ship?

Pure: It would, but if the ship was magnetized like a compass and be able to track things. It could serve as a lot of purposes like the launcher for a massive rail gun defense to knock down meteors.

Seth: As well as provide a decent more gravity if you can get it space worthy.

Pure: Was thinking that same thing too but we need to see if the Missouri will fly first before we send it to space.

Randal: How are you doing on firepower?

Pure: I can't use the old guns for them to do sea and air anymore but I do have something in mind for them. I'm adding 7 rail triple guns to the ship; one in front, six covering the sides and on holding the back, they will be positioned like a gem so that there won't be a weakness in the line it creates. Its missile silos are still operational and can be upgraded to fire the missiles we have now and I'm adding in a small runway inside for attack and also to give a way to escape if she should fall.

Randal: That's a lot of work to do.

Pure: This is why I am doing this one.

Vincent: About that, you will have to work on the weapons and mechanisms first. I did a count of how much dragon scales we have to fully get the ship covered with the new alloy and it is not enough to fully cover it.

Pure: Then we wait until the others molt before we proceed with launching her.

Randal: What are you going to do till then?

Pure: I almost have the other projects' kinks out, I'll send them when I finish looking through the other report Vincent had for me.

Seth: Ok we will let you get back to work.

Pure: Ok, later.

Randal, Seth and Vincent: Later.

Pure heads to the cafeteria to get a snack and looks over the other report Vincent had for him. Meanwhile, Alisha and Carolina were looking through reports they got and were talking while spying on Pure.

Carolina: He really wants to make this world safe for everyone to enjoy.

Alisha: He wants to make sure nothing like his family damages anything ever again.

Carolina: It's because he wants a family, he wants children.

Alisha: I know but can we even have children for him?

Carolina: It feels like we have been trying, but we should not give up.

Alisha: Yeah, we shouldn't.

Carolina checks the time.

Carolina: I got to head back to hell for the next few hours, keep an eye on him would you?

Alisha: Like a hawk.

Carolina opens up a portal and leaves. Alisha looks at Pure looking through the report.

Alisha: I know sweetie; I want kids too to continue my family from it being destroyed.

Everyone went back to what they were doing and everyone else was wondering if they could have children as well and if they could what would they look like and how they would get along.
