Chapter 3

Kristina is looking to the building where she planned to go. She felt happy and at the same time, excited. “Amazing, it was huge and luxurious, well, I just hoping that she is here.” Pumasok siya sa entrance ng building and someone came on her way.

“What can we help you, young lady?” the woman asked her with its crossed arm and looked at her with a badass look.

This woman was so different from normal people who go to the office. Her bodysuit was like the clothes that the agent in the movie wears and its body was so sexy at the same time cool.

That makes Kristina more amaze at everything about this company. Then she saw on the woman’s right legs, there was a leg holster on it and a gun .45 ACP

What was this woman job? Is she a police? An agent? But she didn’t have any sign in both.

“Ah, well I was just looking for someone nam- “ suddenly a group of woman with the same outfit like an agent runs towards them.

There are seven of them and looking for this woman in front of her. While those people talking, she was looking up on them since she was still a teenager and don’t know what kind of business that this group dealing with.

She guessed she have to train more to be on the same level of those woman. Kristina really want to be part of some organization someday because someone really inspired her when she was a little. Now, they are ready to move and they are really cool on how they assemble their gun.

“-don’t let your guard down, even once. Do your job and do your best to return alive, understand?!”

“Yes, Captain!” They all shouted and really respect the woman. Then the woman is just scratching her backhead and smiling awkward while having her awkward laughing. Well, Kristina just look at her.

“Hey!” napatingin naman si Kristina sa babae. “Careful too. See ya’ later!” the woman make a run but suddenly stop and look at her again. “Nice arnis!” then she winked on Kristina.

That’s weird

Hinayaan nalang iyon ni Kristina at nagsimula nang maglibot sa lugar. She just wishing that she can find her. It’s been months since they bid their goodbyes and did not see her since then. Kristina knows how busy that woman is, but she should have at least visit her. She wants to complaint on that woman but she can’t still find her thus, she didn’t have a choice but to keep those complaints on herself.

Not until, someone runs towards her direction. It was like a slow motion on her vicinity and all she could feel was that woman who passes by on her, until she found herself that she was looking at the distance to the woman who ran.

“S-She-“ hindi na siya nagsayang pa ng oras kaya naman agad na niya iyon hinabol pero nang nasa labas na siya ng building, nakita niya itong sumasakay sa isang pickup truck. Halatang nagmamadali ito. Agad naman siyang tumakbo roon. She was still hoping that she could reach her.

And fortunately, she managed to hop at the back of its truck. And she thinks that she didn’t even notice her.

Hindi mawala ang saya sa dibdib ni Kristina ng mahanap na niya ito at sinusigurado niya na hindi niya ito hahayaan na makaalis nang hindi man lang tinuturuan ng panibagong training.

Napakabilis ng takbo ng sasakyan kaya napakahangin sa labas at aaminin niya napakaganda sa pakiramdam ang simoy ng hangin.

Lumipas ang ilang minuto nang tumigil na ang sasakyan at bumaba na ng sasakyan ang babae habang si Kristina naman ay panay pa rin ang tago.

Ramdam niya na rin na para bang may nangyayaring hindi maganda. Hanggang sa may narinig siyang putok ng baril dahilan para magulat siya.

At sa pagkakataon na iyon, nawala sa paningin niya ang babae na iyon. Dahilan para mainis siya at mapa-padyak, hindi niya alam kung saan ito dumaan o kung saan ba ito papunta.

“Damn that woman!” Hindi na nagaksaya pa ng oras si Kristina at agad na gumalaw. Pumaosok siya sa isang eskinita, pero wala siyang makitang tao sa paligid tahimik lang ito hanggang sa may narinig siya sunod-sunod na putok ng baril.

She start guessing what was happening, but she still keep on walking and letting those sound like it was nothing to her. While walking, she heard someone screaming for help.

Tumigil siya saglit. What if pumunta siya doon? Eh ‘di matatagalan siyang maabutan ang babaeng iyon. What if wala na dapat siya sa mga nangyayari sa ibang tao sa paligid. What if, may love quarrel lang ang mga iyon, kaya bakit pa siya makiki-alam?

Tama, hindi niya na kailangan maki-alam pa. Kumalma nalang at mag-focus sa kaniyang plano ang dapat na ginagawa niya, nang sa gayon, matapos na itong pakikipagtaguan sa kaniya ng babae na iyon.

Nagsimula na siyang lumakad, ngunit narinig na naman niiya ng sigaw na iyon. Malakas na ito at hindi na kaya pa ni Kristina ang ingay na naririnig niya.

“I guess I don’t have a choice but to deal with first.” Agad na tumakbo siya patungo sa lugar ng ingay.

Nang makapunta siya sa lugar na iyon, nakita niya ang isang babae na umiiyak, marungis ang mukha nito habang may bata sa tabi niya, umiiyak din ito. Tumakbo siya patungo rito upang alamin kung bakit ito umiiyak.

“Tulong…” narinig niyang wika ng babae. Doon ay nakita niya nakaipit pala ang paa ng ginang sa dalawang malaking bato.

How can this be…

“Ate…” hinawakan nito ang kamay niya. “…paki-usap, tulungan mo ang mama ko.” iyak ng bata sa kaniya.

Napabuntong-hininga nalang siya at sinubukang i-angat ang bato. Na-aangat na ito pero kulang pa rin. Kailangan niya ng katulong hindi niya kaya mag-isa.

That’s it!

Nakaisip ng ideya si Kristina at tumingin sa bata.

“Oy,” tawag niya rito. Tumingin naman ito sa kaniya. “Lend me your strength,” she asked the child.

Tumugon naman ang bata at tinulungan naman siyang I-angat ang bato, ngunit hindi pa rin sapat.

In this kind of situation, she don’t have a choice but to use that kind of thing. She have to, or else this woman will die and this child…

She stop thinking about those kind of things. She can settle everything later so, this will do.

“Here,” she offered her hand to the child. It was a girl that’s why she know why its strength wasn’t enough. “hold my hand.” Hinawakan naman ito ng bata. “just bear a little of its pain.” Tumango naman sa kaniya ito.

Nagsimula na siyang gawin iyon, sa direction nila, lumiwanag silang dalawa at pasalamat nalang siya dahil hindi sumigawa ang bata sa sakit na dulot nito. Natapos iyon at nawala na ang liwanag sa paligid.

“Now, let’s do our best to get your mom out of here, understand?” wika niya rito at sinunod naman siya nito.

Iba ang lakas nilang dalawa kumpara kanina. Napahiyaw silang dalawa upang kumuha ng lakas sa pagpuwersa upang matanggal ang napakalaking bato.

Fortunately, they did it and she didn’t waste her energy to accept their gratitude. She used again that thing to make those two fall asleep then healed its bruises.

Before leaving them, Kristina make sure that they are safe, away from the situation.

“This kind of scene was horrible, I have to find out why is this happening.”

This time, she get serious and leave for the mean time what was her business with that woman.

She ran as fast as she can, until someone blocked her way.

“Hey!” Kristina do not who is this man in front of her, he was under its coat reason why Kristina can’t see its face.

Kristina be on guard and ready for its attack. “What do you want?”

“Woah, you don’t wanna know my name?” He asked her.

“Bullshit, I don’t really like introductions and I don’t care who you are.” She kept her pose as calm and just being ready for the situation to be turned on.

“Hmm, that was a kind of hurt. I feel loved.” Then he beam.

“Stop wasting my time just tell me what was your business with me then let’s wrap this up quick.” Kristina thinking for some opening, but the thing is, there might be some traps or his people around them. She can’t just move without a plan.

“Well, I guess you were thinking that I have dogs around. Just let me say this, I don’t need something like that, because my abilities would be enough to drag you down.” Lumapit ito ng ilang hakbang pero hindi pa rin nagpakita ng kahinaan si Kristina. She just want to make sure that this man wasn’t bluffing at all.

“Ugh, it’s been years since I did not get into fight. Then luckily, I got the chance to step up on the face of one of them. So happy and excited for this situation.” After that, its rob were drawn and Kristina saw its face. He was different and not a human indeed. He even have horn and his body was in different colors.

“What the-“ Kristina was shocked knowing that some creature existed in that form. She wonders where this creature comes from and what is its potential to barge on her way.

“Oh… I see, you manage to make that sense, the sense of being naïve at all. You still more way to go then one day, you will come to us.” Then suddenly it attacks Kristina in a blink of an eye.

He is so fast!

“What is he-“ Kristina vomit blood and was threw like she was kind of a toy.

What the hell is that? Kristina did not see his move but still he managed to hurt her. That make her grinned in angry.

Even though she can’t show any emotion, she can feel the pain inside her body, so, she don’t have any choice but to heal herself. Just one heal and she will end this battle quick.

It will be pain in ass but she need to clean the trash in front of her.

This where she got really serious. She brought her arnis to which turn to sword in just a second.

“Oh…there is no mistake, you really one of them.” The man smirked on her. Kristina do not know what he is talking about and she do not care about that thing. All she have to do is to end this up quick.

“Enough the chit-chat and let’s end this thing.” Kristina was at the middle of confuse but she was still attacked the opponents and in that way she did not know what will happen if she burst in anger. As long as she can control herself, everything will be okay.

They attacked each other as long as there was still standing up until they both exhausted. But the man has still hidden on her sleeves.

His body were filled with a red color and it was like shadow but Kristina could feel its presence, a tremendous power and it was first time seeing it in her whole life.

There are also red wings appeared on that man and saying something but Kristina do not hear him right. Her eyes were blurry and feel the exhaustion until she passed out, before she could close her eyes, her opponent attacked her.

The opponent attacked Kristina with an intent to kill but in a snap of finger, Kristina vanished. Until, he know that the unconsciously Kristina was floating in the air. Something was going on. Her body was embedded by a red bubble and he could feel a tremendous amount of power, stronger than he have. “There is no mistake, this woman blood was really a demon.”

Hindi na siya nag-aksaya pa ng oras at sumugod rito ngunit bigla na lamang may lumitaw na pakpak. Para bang bumagal ang paligid at nakita niya kung paano bumangon si Kristina at nang iminulat nito ang mata ay kulang berde at pula. Sa kanan ay pula at sa kaliwa naman ang berde.

Demon wings

Hindi siya makapaniwala na katapusan na niya ngayon, gusto niya pa sana maglaro ngunit dahil ito ang kalaban niya, mukhang hanggang dito nalang siya. Isang bagsakan, binuhos niya lahat ng kaniyang lakas at inatake si Kristina.

Mula sa ere may nanonood na isang lalaki, kuntento at para bang walang paki-alam sa kaniyang kasamahan na pinulbura ni Kristina.

“That bastard, I told him not to charge because his opponent was not on his level. Tsk, that Demon wings, interesting.” Then he suddenly disappeared.

The wings of Kristina vanished and stop floating in the air as the result of losing its balance. The impact on the ground was sever but she was unconsciously healed herself.

Someone running towards direction of Kristina but they don’t know that this girl was on their way until Rose discovered her.

“There is a girl!” she shouted then carried her until they find their safe place. A small underground enough to hide from the enemies. Rose and her partner are panting until they hear the girl groan then open its eyes.

That when Rose realized who is this girl. They both look to each other and shock was registered on their face.

“Rose!”

“Kris!”

The partner of Rose was confused and look back and forth to them.

“Kris! What are you doing here?!” agad na sermon ni Rose.

Habang si Kristina naman ay kumikinang ang mga mata dahil nahanap na niya din sa wakas ang nagtatagong master niya.

“Master!” Kristina eyes are still shinning as there was a gold in front of her. Because of what did she said, she got a bump on her head.

“Ouch!” then she held her head because of the pain.

“Oh, you have a small expression now that before! Did you get treatment?” Rose were amazed and behalf of that, she was very touch because her student is getting better from its condition.

“Ah, yeah.” Kristina scratch her nose emotionless. But deep down, her feelings are unexplainable. She really envy Rose because of her coolness and everything about her. Back then, they are really stranger and got the sever combat for some situational coincident. Kris lost at that time and Rose took care of her up until they get to know each other. Kris want to be like her that’s why she asked to train her but then, Rose have to leave because she have work to do and they don’t know when they will meet gain. All Kris have is just the address of the company that Rose are working on.

“Did you two know each other?” asked by Rose’s partner.

The two look at her and Rose cleared her throat.

“Yep. Ah, Kris, let me introduce you, my partner in crim--ouch!” Her partner punch her stomach because of what she said.

“Elisa. That’s my name. Don’t asked for my surname.”

“I don’t mind.” Kris said a reason for Elisa dropped her shoulder.

This kid is more mannerless than Rose.

No wonder she is Rose’s student. She just heard her partner laughed because of what she got from Kris. She gave Rose a flat look and exhaled.

I am surrounded by a mannerless idiots.

On Kristina, that woman with the name Elisa was the one who she met in the company earlier. The one who said that her arnis was nice. She was cool back then but knowing that she is the partner of her master makes it lost her coolness.

She was about to talk to her master again when suddenly they heard some noise a reason for their silence.

“They are here. Elisa, get ready.” Rose said then looked at her. “You are strong enough right?” she asked her.

It makes her smirked.

“Much stronger than before.” Her respond.

A second of silent, they hear a numerous voice who were shouting and running forward with their guns, swords and other weapon that could kill a certain person. But, this nothing for her master, as she saw Rose run towards the battlefield without even making a noise, makes her will grow. She could see how a snap that Rose could move, even a glimpse of an eye.

“So fast.”

She hears footstep on her back but without even knowing, her hand is already caught its gun and blast the head of the enemy. She was confused because she was just planning to kill the opponent, but her body’s response was different from her will. Another opponent at her back and another unwilling movement on her body. She kept on killing the enemy and targeted on the head.

What is going on her body? How is that even possible? That blood spread on the ground make her vomit, even her clothes were stained. There was really something wrong going on her.

While she was fighting with this unwillingly movements, her body start to numb, from her foot going up to her heart. When the numb reach her heart, she started to vomit blood and her feeling was suffocating.

She held her neck because of difficult breathing but she kept on vomiting blood up until her sight was turning red, becomes blurry and she can’t feel anything.

On her last cough of blood, she lost her conscious.

Nang lumingon si Rose, agad siyang napanga-nga dahil sa lumulutang sa ere ang walang malay na si Kristina.

“Oy, Kris, I know it is fun to sleep, but, I have an advice to you, just do it later!”. Wika nito at napakamot sa ulo, wondering kung paano iyon na gagawa ni Kristine. Maybe she had some high-tech things on her body like Iron man in the movie or what.

Until Elisa saw Kris floating in the air and bring back her sight to Rose and acting like she was wondering what was Kris doing in the air.

“This idiot.” Elisa beat Rose.

“What?!” Rose complaint and rub her head.

“There is something wrong going on your student! Do something and stop magnetic your ass here!” she shouted as the nervous and panic filled her.

Rose keep on complaining that why does she have to receive a beat from her partner. And in a blink of an eye, the floating unconscious Kris is in the hand of Rose.

Ngunit nakita nilang may kakaiba sa dibdib ni Kris. Doon ay agad na silang nataranta kaya naman nagplano na sila. Rose, will be the defensive and Elisa will be the offensive. Their gold will be Kris, as long as they have plan, no one will lay a finger to Kris.

“Ready?” asked by Rose.

“As long as you are.” Elisa smirked then they run as fast as they could. It looks like they have a superhuman ability with their speed. And with less than seven minutes, all their enemy are lying on the ground, no one is breathing.

“Rose, we have to bring her to the medical.” Elisa said.

“Where? We can’t go to the hospital in our situation.” Because of different stain of blood in their clothes, they can’t be seen in public.

“I know. We just have to bring her to the organization’s hospital.”

Rose was speechless of what Elisa said. “If we do that, one of us will get a punishment…level 3.” Rose uttered.

Elisa looked at Kris pity.

“I’ll take the punishment.” Matapang na saad nito.

“But, Elisa!”

“Stop it, Rose! We have to do it or else we will be too late. The only one she need is you, thus you have to be present the time she will wake up.”

Rose disagree, but Elisa have her trust.

“Just don’t die.” Rose told her. Then Elisa smiled at her.

“Let’s go!”
