I've been here for about a week now. I've spent a lot of time with my dear friend Jack. He's helped me with everything and got me out of trouble a couple times. Thank goodness he was there. We learned a lot about each other and became best friends. Almost into lovers except I could never be his. I belonged to John. I liked John. He was good to me most of the time. Until he got mad. I then got punished. So far life here wasn't all that bad. The men taught me a few things. I was happy to learn. Austin decided to challenge me one day though. I kicked his ass. I didn't mean to but he was pretty easy......I got in serious trouble for it. That's when Jack helped me out a bit. Every night I slept in shear clothing with John. As he slept I just watched him. I still couldn't ever sleep and with no stars to look out on it was even worse. As I was looking at John I noticed just how handsome he was. The slight curve of his face. The way his eyes fluttered. I began falling in love with him. Day after day I'd try to get closer and closer to him. One day he decided to let me out. He walked with me holding my hand. Afraid I'd run. I marveled at the stars that I haven't seen in so long. He looked at how fascinated I was with them. He looked apon my face as the moonlight shined apon it. "Rose?" He turned to me and asked. "Are you okay?" "Living here I mean." "Are you happy?" I looked at him with mixed feelings on my face. "I am but." "I miss my sisters greatly" "By now they probably think I'm dead" He smiled and admitted something to me. "I've been notifying your sisters." "They wanted to make sure we weren't hurting you." I look at him with surprise. "Really?" My eyes light up like a thousand stars. "Yes real-" We hear a noise in the woods. "John!" I whisper. "I don't have any weapons." "Here" he hands me my fan blades. I place them in my hair. "This better not be a trick Rose!" We follow the sound into a clearing. "Thomas!" John shouted as he saw him liplocking with a girl. "Tris?" I was confused and very angry at this point. The Sisterhood had never done such a thing. I guess I know how she felt though. I was in love too. They both look at us. "Rose!" Tris ran to me and gave me a big hig. "Tris?" "What's going on?" "I love him Rose." She said with a smile on her face. "He makes me happy!" "Okay baby girl." "As long as you are happy." She smiles at me and walks over to Thomas. "I-I'm sorry John." "I do love her though." "I don't want to be without her." With a relaxed and calm tone. "John?" "Please!" "Let them." I say softly with pleading eyes. "You have just destroyed the Brotherhood with this mistake." Then he looked at me. "Yet I have found someone I love as well." I smile uncontrollably. "Rose?" "Will you be my girl?" He said so lovingly. "I'd like that."
