Rapunzel and her friends rode in a hot air balloon home since their caravan was destroyed back at the Dark Kingdom and Cassandra escaped with the moonstone after a half a day of flying they final make it to Corona in the late evening to find everyone acting strange and glaring at Rapunzel as she landed. Once everyone got off the balloon they looked around to see everyone looking away from her cringing as they walked away from her. Rapunzel is considered as they walked down the street running into Feldspar who tripped carrying a bucket full of carrots. Feldspar exclaimed "Oh dear oh dear I have to hurry and get these to the castle before nightfall." Rapunzel confused asked "Why what's will happen if you don't?" Feldspar hesitates before explaining "Listen princess you and your friends have to pull a stop to the new ruler...he's crazy....oh!?" Suddenly Feldspar ears grew magical into long floppy bunny ears. Rapunzel and her friends all gasped in horror at what just happened. Rapunzel grabbed Feldspar's shoulders asking "Feldspar your ears!? What's going on around here to cause this? And what do you mean new ruler? What happened to mother and father?" Feldspar cried saying "I'm not sure all we know is the new ruler declared that if anyone in Corona says lies about him the curse takes effect! And if anyone tries to get help them they will suffer a worser fate. Princess you need to save the King and Queen." Rapunzel and her friends rushed towards the castle finding it strange around the castle there weren't any guards so they got in quickly and quietly. As they walked down the hall they saw Feldspar ran in from the other side of the hallway ahead of them as he rushed into the throne room. Slowly they approach the throne back doors nearest to the throne so they can see better. As they snuck through the back they peered through the curtains next to the throne so they could see who the new ruler was what they saw shocked them. Feldspar shaking handed sat the bucket of carrots before the new ruler who walked out of the shadows of the throne to reveal it was Varian himself wearing the King's crown and royal robe! He had a royal dark blue cloth stitched all around the sides and back of the crown covering his ears. Varian got up from the throne walking over to the bucket of carrots reached out grabbing one taking a small bite out of it chewing a little before spitting it out and kicking the bucket at Feldspar shouting "You call that descent carrots they weren't even shaved clean!? Go eat them yourself you rabbit!" Varian pointed his fingers towards Feldspar shots of bright green lightning hit him as a explosion of green smoke formed where Feldspar once was and instead sat a pile of clothes with a cat sized rabbit sitting on his clothes. Rapunzel and her friends rushed out as Eugene and Lance were about to grab Varian from behind when Varian fell onto his hands bucking his shoes into both guys stomachs causing them both to grab their stomachs in great pain as they fell to the ground moaning. Max and Pascal rushed into the throne room charging towards Varian who threw goo bombs stopping them in their tracks. As Varian slowly stood up grinning at his victory Rapunzel's hair wrapped around his ankle tugging him to the ground hard onto his back whipping the wind out of his lungs making it hard for him to breathe as more of Rapunzel's hair wrapped around his wrists and arms preventing him from moving as Lance released Max and Pascal with one of Varian's yellow orbs as everyone approached him glaring down at him. Eugene bent down trying to pull off the crown but it's stuck somehow to Varian's head. Eugene struggles asking "It's on tight...groans..come on?!" 'POP!' The crown came off as Rapunzel and her friends were shocked to see why the crown was stuck tight, Varian's ears were a big pair of dark gray donkey ears! Lance bent down asking "Are these real?" Lance touched the ears to feel how hairy they were as Eugene also felt them when Varian shouted "Would you lot stop feeling my ears!? Hee hee haw hee haw! That tickles!" Everyone covered their ears do to Varian's brays being so loud as Rapunzel's hair wrapped around Varian as he looked at her asking "What did I managed to surprise you that I took over your kingdom?" Rapunzel glaring at him asks "Why are you doing this and you better have a good explanation?" Varian grins before loudly brays making everyone cover their ears causing Rapunzel hair to let go as Varian swiftly run over pushing a button on throne causing a large cage to spring up out of the floor under the group trapping them as Varian throws a goo ball at Rapunzel's hair keeping her from using her hair as he padlocked the cage. Varian started explaining through song "I was betrayed and lied to for far too long. Threatened and Hurt far too many times, I have been pushed aside from time to time. But now I'll get my chance to get back at those who stabbed me in the back at last!" Varian slowly turned towards the cage grinning evily as he grabbed the bars continued "I will turn them slowly into animals everytime they say a lie! There is no escaping the fate cast upon your low lives for the sake of me!" Varian backs away as he walks over to his crown putting it back on. "After what I've been through on that very cursed island this is where I'll take control of the situation at last!" Varian turned slowly approaches the cage continuing "I will slowly turn them into animals everytime they say a lie! I won't stand by to let them get away with their planned crimes!" Varian grabbed the bars aggressively angrily continued "They sent me away to curse me on a island nearly turning me into a donkey and to be sold to the coal mines, NOT HAPPENING!!" Varian screamed his last line kicking the cage in anger as they watched in shock as he continued "I won't stand for it anymore, I tell you now." Varian backed away from the cage as he reached into his robe taking out a silver orb as he finished "I will get my way if you say I scared you maybe right, but be careful and DO NOT LIE TO ME!" Be careful and do not lie to me or you'll PAY! YOU..WILL..PAY!" Varian threw the silver orb towards the group who all shelter each other as the hugging waiting for the worst when in slowly a large claw fell in front of the orb changing its direction back towards Varian as the orb hit Varian onto his feet as it exploded into silver smoke. Varian and the others looked up in total shock to see a house sized Rudiger in the throne room! Varian was scared as the chemical from the orb started very slowly turning him into stone from his feet up to his legs as he screamed for help! Rudiger used his giant hands to break the cage freeing Rapunzel and her friends as Rudiger also had used a yellow orb to release them from their goo prison. Rapunzel and her friends ran up to Varian who was panicking as turned to stone around his waist. Rapunzel panicked asking "Ok Varian quick tell us what we need to do to help you!?" Varian struggles saying "Inside my robe the white orb is the cure for this mess PLEASE save me!?" Rapunzel reached into his robe and grabbed the white orb about to free Varian when Eugene cuts in asking "WAIT why should we help him after he just tried to kill us the same way!? He should be punished for all the trouble he just caused!" Rapunzel enraged screamed "EUGENE!?" Rapunzel swiftly smashed the white orb against the stone part of Varian's body curing him of his imprisonment just as Varian's chest was coated in stone. Varian collapsed on the floor breathing heavy as he curled into a ball shaking and sobbing as Rapunzel rubbed his back as she glared at Eugene. Lance cringed at this face as he scooted away from him knowing what was about to happen next. Rapunzel got up and slapped Eugene across his face hard as she shouted "How dare you try to have Varian suffer the same fate his father's in right now you cold monster!? I don't want to talk to you for the rest of the night!" Rapunzel helped Varian as his donkey ears fell to the sides of his head limply as he cried as Rapunzel walked over hugging Varian looked back glaring at Eugene as he sniffed Rapunzel asked Varian "Varian shouldn't we be turning Rudiger back to normal?" Varian grinning saying "Oh of course yes let's do that first." Varian with Rapunzel walked over to Rudiger as Varian reached into his robe pulling out a vile of red sprinkles powder before he could out take the cork off Eugene tightly grabbed Varian's wrist as he shouted asking "What do you think you're doing!? What's in that vile!? I won't let you harm Sunshine!" Varian cringed as he cried closing his eyes shut as Rapunzel took the vile from Eugene and poured it onto Rudiger returning him back to normal size without worrying as Rapunzel really glared at Eugene in anger as he backed away fast knowing she may hit him hard on his face worst than before. Rapunzel hugged Varian before looking at him explains "I will forgive you Varian as long a you explain to all of us what happened to you on wherever island you were sent to and help use fix everything back to normal? And I have good news for you..I finally found a way to free your father from his amber prison!" Varian started shedding tears with a wide smile asking "Cries....re...really princess?!" Rapunzel nodded as Varian hugged her tightly as he cried as she cringed at how strong he was for a skinny young man. Before they left the throne room they freed Pascal and Max who both pounced on Varian knocking him hard on his back as Max aggressively neighs at him and Pascal hit Varian on the head with his claws before Rapunzel shouted "Guys that's enough!? He nearly died do to his chemical orb! You're acting the same way Eugene acted towards Varian....now get off him and apologize!?" Both Pascal and Max get off Varian helping him up and uttered their sounds of sorry then hugged. They let go of each other then they walked over to the others Varian explaining the plan. Before they headed towards the dungeons Varian turned Feldspar back to normal and Varian apologies to him as they walked down the hall they returned the royal clothes and crown Varian was wearing to the royal clothes room. As they walked down the hall Rapunzel asked "So Varian where are all the guards and Captain of the guards?" Varian cringed as he explained "I'll show you where they are AFTER we free the King and Queen. Besides I think the King and Queen should see them too." Eugene cringed asking "PLEASE tell us you didn't slaughter them?" Varian enraged his donkey ears flattened to the back of his head screams "ARE YOU NUTS! I'D NEVER GO AS FAR AS TO SLAUGHTER PEOPLE OVER NEARLY CRUSHING THEM!! AND IF YOU DON'T STOP JUDGING ME I'LL TURN YOU INTO A ANIMAL THAT HARDLY SPEAKS!!" 'Breathing heavy and fast!' Rapunzel rubbed Varian on his back trying to calm him down saying "Easy....easy Varian...he just a bit paranoid." Rapunzel frowns at Eugene as he quickly says "Shutting up!" Finally they make it down the long staircase and down the hall to the dungeon cell that housed the King and Queen. Varian used his Alchemy vile to light up the cell to reveal two large wolves dressed in a old robe and torn dress. Everyone but Varian gasped as they thought for King and Queen were killed by these wolves but then Varian pointed out their eyes and they still had their original hair on their heads plus they were still wearing their crowns on their heads. The two wolves rushed over to the bars when they saw Rapunzel standing behind Varian whimpering and trying to talked to her. Rapunzel kneeling towards the wolf with her mother's crown asked "Mom....is that really you?" The wolf actually smiled crying real tears as she licked Rapunzel's nose and whimpered. Varian placed his hand on the bars causing the male wolf wearing the King's crown snarled before biting Varian's fingers causing him to scream in pain as Rapunzel shouts "No dad stop PLEASE!?" The male wolf let go whining and backed off with his ears back looking sad at what he did. Lance quickly took off Varian's glove off then used a canteen of water to clean Varian's hand off then used medicine on it as Varian gritted his teeth in pain as Lance was about to wrap bandages on Varian's hand but Varian told him he had some potion that could quickly heal the bite marks fast so he could change the King and Queen back to normal. Varian took out the potion on poured it on his hand instantly it healed. Everyone sighed with relief as Varian had everyone stand back so he could summon his powers as his hands started to glow as they shot green lightning out of his fingers and in a flash King Frederic and Queen Arianna became humans again standing on all fours blinking in surprise. Rapunzel was so excited as Varian unlocked the cell door stepping away from the group letting the three come out of the prison cell as they all hugged each other. King Frederic and Queen Arianna stood on two legs thank heavens their clothes weren't too torn to show any private parts. Varian thought he was going to cry seeing them so happy but he was stopped short when King Frederic swiftly ran over grabbing Varian around the neck choking him holding him up in the air before the others rushed over trying to stop him from killing Varian who was turning blue. Queen Arianna had to slap her husband across the face hard to get him to let go of Varian who fell to the ground coughing and holding his neck as he cried tears of pain as he breathed slow as Eugene and Lance tried helping Varian as best they could seeing light finger red bruise marks on Varian's neck which didn't look to bad. Rapunzel hugged Varian from the front crying blocking her father from coming near Varian as she glared daggers at her own father. Everyone near Varian stayed still as they watched Queen Arianna screaming at King Frederic asking "What is wrong with you!? You dare to try to KILL A CHILD!? You are truly a monster you are going to be so heartless towards him for freeing us! You should be glad he fed us, groomed us twice a week and made sure we had water otherwise we would have died long ago! You are not acting like the husband I know! I'm not going to talk to you for the next two days since you broke your promise towards Rapunzel! And you can eat your meals alone for the next two days!" Rapunzel and her friends but Varian gasped in horror at what they heard as Queen Arianna walked towards Varian hugging him saying "I'm sorry...I'm so sorry I should have done something sooner when he wasn't doing anything for 5 months! PLEASE....please forgive me Varian?" Varian cried as he said yes before being helped to his feet as he looked at her then at Rapunzel as he was curious about why she was so quiet when she broke the silence uttering "How could you?!" Then she looked at her father shouting "HOW COULD YOU DO SUCH A THING....TRYING TO KILL VARIAN AFTER HE FED, WATERED, AND CLEANED YOU AS WOLVES THEN HE TURNED YOU BACK TO NORMAL AND YOU ATTACK HIM NEARLY KILLING HIM!? YOU COLD HEARTED LYING BEAST! I HATE YOU! AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN KEEP THE PROMISE YOU SAID YOU'D HELP VARIAN WHILE I WAS GONE, WHAT DID YOU DO KEEP VARIAN LOCKED DOWN HERE THE WHOLE TIME I WAS GONE!? DID YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM, LOOK AT HIS EARS!? HE TOLD US THE PEOPLE OF CORONA SENT HIM TO A CURSED ISLAND THAT TURNS HIM INTO A DONKEY! YOU DIDN'T SEEM TO CARE! I'M NOT TALKING TO YOU FOR A WEEK!" Rapunzel swiftly punched her father across the face on the left cheek as she breathed heavily enraged as she ran down the hall out of the dungeons as Lance ran after her since she wouldn't talk to Eugene. Everyone else just stood there shocked at what happened as they all couldn't believe what Rapunzel did towards the King himself. King Frederic started crying as he held his cheeks as he collapsed onto his knees as he watched everyone glaring at him as they walked out of the dungeons leaving King Frederic all alone in the dungeon hallway sobbing. Queen Arianna had Eugene carry Varian to a guestroom to put him to bed for the night and after breakfast they all would go find the guards and Captain of the guards in the morning. Varian laid in his cosy new bed resting his neck after what he went through today and fell asleep but someone in the shadows had other plans for him. The next morning it was very quiet at the breakfast table as everyone ate Varian luckily made a potion for him to drink at breakfast to help heal his neck but he had to eat food with it for it to work perfectly. It was a forearm tall bottle of bright blue potion that Varian would slowly drink a minute after every bite. Once Varian was done he was full as he sighed with relief as everyone was surprised to see his neck heal itself during eating. Varian looked up at the Queen Arianna asking "I....I'm very sorry for all the trouble I caused after I returned from the cursed island that did this to me...I guess I lost control over myself." Varian pointed at his donkey ears as Queen Arianna smiled as rubbed Varian's head ruffled his hair as she got up asking "Alright should we all go find the Captain of the guards and the other guards?" Everyone got up and they all headed towards the fields near Corona booths when they all heard shouting coming from a large mob led by Nigel himself who had a cougar head, paws, and tail hold a flaming torch grinning evily as they all made their way towards Varian and the others. Rapunzel screamed "Quick run to where the guards are hurry!!" Rapunzel and her friends bolted towards where Varian said to go as they all ran for their lives running into the fields as they heard Varian scream over the shouting mob "LOOK THERE THEY ARE!!" The group saw a bunch of horses and a few donkeys wearing guard helmets and armor and a large dark brown clydesdale wearing the Captain's clothes stood in front of the guards and looked ready to fight Varian when he saw Rapunzel, her friends and Queen Arianna were endanger of being attacked by the large half animal mob. Captain of the guards reared up neighs loudly getting the attention of the guards telling them they had to stop the mob and protect Rapunzel and her friends! The large group of equines charged towards the mob as Rapunzel shouts "Guys get really close to me!?" The group of her friends did as she summoned her hair to form a large protective shield around them everyone including Varian were huddled together under the golden hair as they all heard muffled screaming coming from outside the rounded shield of hair it seemed to last forever but it all ended after 3 minutes. Everyone breathing heavy and shaking in fear as it goes so quiet until 5 muffled kicking sounds against Rapunzel's side of her hair as Rapunzel asked "Who is it?!" There was a loud neigh from a horse answered back as Rapunzel's hair unwrapped itself and stopped glowing as the group looked up to see the large clydesdale horse leading down to help Rapunzel stand up as well as the others as they looked around confused seeing the whole mob was defeated all but Nigel he was nowhere in sight due to all the dust in the air. Just as everyone were starting to settle down a scream was heard where Varian once stood as he was dragged fast away from the group towards the cliff near the edge of the fields that were fenced off so the livestock wouldn't go over the edge into the sea. Every last of the guards along with Rapunzel and her friends ran towards the two as fast as they could but as got closer to the two Nigel held Varian up high above his head as Varian struggled against the ropes that kept him from moving as Nigel shouting "Stay back all of you or else I'll drop this evil boy to the depths below the sea!? And I know this demon should just drown after all he's done towards us in Corona!" Rapunzel held her hair readying it as Nigel grinned inching closer to the fence Max and Pascal rode in with King Frederic riding Max into the group screaming "STOP THIS RIGHT NOW NIGEL!? DON'T DROP HIM OR I'LL HAVE YOU REGRET IT!" Nigel only grinned more as he stepped onto the fence getting ready to drop Varian as Varian screamed "You can't if I go into salt water my powers will react in a bad dangerous explosion! Alot of seawater will overload my powers causing overpowering results which will cause a eruption large enough wave and quake effect to cause high damaging effects if that giant stack of sea wave were to fall onto this half of Corona!! You don't want to cause that much death and damage do you!? Plus if you kill me I can't reverse the curse that turned you all into animals if I die!" Rapunzel in fear asked "Varian where did you get these powers? Tell us so we can cure you once you're safe PLEASE?!" Varian cringed and crying says "I made a promise to her I wouldn't reveal her to anyone whose against me other wise she'd be punished too! And I'll suffer a bad curse from her no matter where I am she'd find me!" Nigel enraged screamed "Tell us now or...!?" Nigel wasn't able to finish as for he leaned back too far as both he and Varian fell back over the cliff Nigel was able to catch the side of the cliff but since Varian was tied up he couldn't get free as Rapunzel took Eugene's knife in her teeth as she jump over flunk her hair at Varian as she got onto him cutting off the ropes as her hair formed the same shield around them both as they were about to hit the sea when a very large flying creature with big wings, claws, long neck like body and tail caught Rapunzel's hair shield as it flew up towards the cliff. Back on land everyone was waiting for the big explosion or something as they all covered their heads and body as they all cried thinking the two were dead when suddenly a very large creature flew over everyone landing near them in the fields it was a very large elderly brown dragon with his claws covering Rapunzel and Varian just to be safe. First the guards and the others cringe at what they saw before them as it breathed warm breath against his claws drying any saltwater that landed on his claws then he shook itself to quickly dry off himself for good measure as he opened his claws revealing both Rapunzel and Varian safe and sound as they looked up at the dragon in both shock and surprise as he set them on the ground peacefully. King Frederic and Queen Arianna were both surprised by this as well as the dragon looked at them nodding as he smiled at them opening his mouth trying to speak but could only grunt and growl. Rapunzel noticed something familiar about the dragon as she saw it had familiar gray hair lined up on the back of his head, beard and eyebrows with brown eyes. Also he had bits of green shirt around his shoulder and back area. Rapunzel then gasped as she loudly asked "Xavier is that you!?" The dragon smiled as he nodded then pressed his large nose against Rapunzel's hands as she hugged him saying "Thank you Xavier...thank you so much for saving us!" Everyone but Nigel who was tied up and gagged as Rapunzel's friends and family cheered for joy as they all ran over hugging them back. After Varian turned the guards, the mob, Captain of the guards and the others he cursed back to normal Varian then use a giant crystal to project his powers onto Xavier since he was a large dragon and need a large power source to return him to normal last. After Varian finished he collapsed from exhaustion for he felt so drained as Rapunzel and her friends rushed over to check on Varian who laid on his side coughing as he was thirsty. Lance gave him some cold water as Varian recovered slowly as he sat up as Xavier was given a news clothes as Rapunzel looked away from him to embarrassed as she asked Varian "Varian PLEASE what's the bad curse you'd suffer if you were to reveal the one who gave you these powers? PLEASE Varian we just wish to help cure you of these dangerous powers PLEASE?" Varian cringed looking away then he sighed nodding as he said "Fine I'll introduce you guys to her but I warned you." Rapunzel and her friends went with Varian deep into The Dark Forest as they walked for 20 minutes as they finally made it to a two story brick home in the middle of The Dark Forest. It had a light coming from within and smoke was rising from the chimney, the strong smell of the flower garden was coming from the side of the house as a cobblestone path lead up to the door. Everyone stood behind Varian as he knocked on the door hearing a young woman ask "Varian is that you dearie?" Varian blushed saying "Yes it's me may I come in to talk PLEASE?" The young woman hesitates before swiftly opening the door smiling then frowning once she say the group of people behind Varian as she asked "Why did you bring others? I thought I warned you of punishment if you dare break your promise!?" The young women's hand glowing bright blue as she lifts Varian into the air swiftly brings him into the house before closing the door as they heard her screaming at Varian then they heard Varian screaming in pain. They barged into the room to see the woman turning Varian into stone.
