Once the Rubies were out of sight you let your hand fall to your side, tears trickling down your face at a more steady pace now.

"Uhm are you alright?"

You tensed, right...you honestly forgot the 'human' posers were even there anymore. By you first guess they had to be gems, because of the unusual skin color and behavior throughout the game, but enough of them.

You wiped your tears quickly, spinning around to face the gems. "I apologize if I'm in your way, I'll be going now-" you were cut off. "Oh no no we didn't mean it like that. I- Are- are you okay?" Not really.

You nodded quickly.
"I'm fine, I knew this would be inevitable." You said, sniffling, it was true.

The moment you saw those Rubies you knew a bond would form between the six of you. But you also knew that they would depart from you in one way or another, but it was so soon and it tugged on your heart strings with how quick they left.

"Were you kidnapped by those homeworld gems, are you alright?" The tall blue gem asked, since you couldn't locate the gems gem, so you though it was on her back or something.

"I'll be fine, they didn't do anything to hurt me." You said, recalling the bitter nature of when you and the Rubies first met, and how that bitter nature quickly turned sweet and full of adoration towards you, their Sapphire.

"In fact those Rubies seemed to worship her."
You heard the pale tall gem mutter to the small boy Steven, looking at the gems gem, it look similar to the pearls you would find on occasions, and since the Rubies all had Rubies inbedded into their bodies and they were named Ruby, this gem had to be named Pearl. Simple logic, right?

"Sorry, I-I'm Steven. What's your name?" The small boy brushed off the Pearl's comments. Handing out his hand for you to take. You looked down at his hand and smiled.

"I'm [Y/N]. Nice to meet you Steven." You took Steven hand and shook it gently, making the boy go starry eyed at your [H/C] bangs.
"Are you a half gem half human like me? Are you a Sapphire!?"
The boy immediately took to questioning you, looking up to you with the biggest starry brown eyes. The tallest maroon gem placed a hand on the excited Steven's shoulder.

"Now, now, there is no other gem hybrids other then you, Steven. I doubt this [Y/N] would be an exception, unless my future vision is wrong." The tallest gem turned to you once she spoke her last statement. You shook your head softly.

"You are correct, I am human." You lied, nodding along with the tallest gem, making Steven deflate a little. "Then why'd those Rubies called you a Sapphire?" The boy asked, tilting his head. You shrugged, "It was too late to correct them when I realized it."

You said, smiling softly at the thought, but immediately your smile faded. "Listen, I really need to go, I'll see you later." You  pulled a small piece of paper out of your skirt, and removed the pencil hanging from your ear. Quickly writing your number giving it to the small boy.

"Here's my number, I'll see you later." You said, before taking off to the woods, the smile no longer present on your face as a thought finally came to mind.

'They're really gone...'

The Rubies looked at the blue and green planet as the ship slowly moved away from Earth. Honestly, it took all they had to not return to Earth and embrace you with all their strength.

The Rubies missed their Sapphire greatly, but this was a mission that couldn't take forever.

they needed to fetch Jasper, return to Yellow Diamond and prey that they get sent to Earth again. That they get sent to their Sapphire again. That they get sent to you again.

"Should we have left our Sapphire- [Y/N] with those gems?" Leggy seemed to be the one actually voicing her concerns. Each time she would look out the window, another thought would float around in her mind.

Leggy's teammates could tell she was getting angsty. They could tell she wanted to turn this entire ship around back to the earth. They could tell she wanted to crush their Sapphire in a warming hug. And to be honest, they wanted to aswell.

"We didn't have a choice. We have to find Jasper. Yellow Diamonds orders." Doc said, stirring the ship to the planet 'Neptune'. Even though her entire focus was on the space infront of her, she could see in the corner of her eye, was her fellow teammate, Army, was getting angsty aswell.

Though, much less able to hide it, furrowed brows, a very angry frown on her face, and crossed arms. "Well! what if I don't wanna follow Yellow Diamonds orders anymore!?" Army threw her hands to her sides in a mini temper-tantrum manner.
The Rubies gasped and the ship went still.

There was silence that filled the ship.

Army's anger seemed to dissolve into sadness. Her eyes changed from shock at her own words, tears filled her once anger filled eyes.

Army looked at her hands. Blurry and shaking.
Why were they shaking..?

Army clasped her hands over her eyes, blocking out the yellow interior of the ship. Tears rolled down her cheeks, only to evaporate once they touched her skin.

Army pressed harder on her eyes.

Army tried to speak.
She only let out a chocked sob.

What was this intense emotion?
Was this sadness..?
This had to be... but why does it hurt so much.

Army tried to communicate again. She tried to reach out. Trying to tell the others about this agonizing pain in her chest, but she could only let out short gasps of air and unintelligible sobs.

She felt like she was going to shatter. Stars... why did it hurt so much..?
Tears pooled onto her hands, Army's whole body was shaking.

"Hey! Hey! Calm down! Please! Are you okay!" Army removed her shaking hands from her blurry, tear-filled eyes just enough to see Doc crouching infront of her, shock and concern filling her eyes.
"It--it h-hurt-hur-it--hurts!"

"What? What hurts!? Ruby are you okay?! Tell us what's wrong?!"

She wanted, no, needed to tell the group about the pain, the agonizing pain plaguing her, about the tears that never stopped flowing from her eyes, about the shaking in her body, about how she felt like she needed oxygen, about this feeling that broke her down, making her feel like the tiniest grain of sand on a desert, about-

POOF!
