Samantha Purvis was in her room with her dog, Rexy, sleeping on her bed with a chew toy. Sam was about to start freshman year. "This year is gonna be different." Sam said to herself. "How's it gonna be different?" A girl asked sitting on an extra bed. "Because of the exchange student my parents took in." Sam said pointing at her. "Evie, have you ever been to school before?" "Actually I have," There was a secret behind Evie's past that she didn't want to tell her exchange family, she was a time traveler. "When I was living with an orphanage, I was homeschooled but only because there was this one alarm in the building that went off when a child left, and that's why nobody could leave." Evie lied. Sam looked confused with the story Evie was telling her about. "Anyway, we should get ready for school, don't we have a big test in 4th hour tomorrow?" Sam asked her roommate. Suddenly, Sam's parents barge into the bedroom with a little tikes baseball bat trying to scare their daughter. "Here's Mommy!" Mom jokes, "And Daddy!" Dad added. Evie is jumpy, so she gets scared pretty easily. Mom and Dad giggled as they scared Evie and probably caused her to crap her pants. "Good morning parental units," Sam greeted her parents. "And we are off to school!"
