Chapter Twelve
"What's your name? Is there any food? I'm starving. You both fuckers. I hate you. I hate, hate, hate, hate-"
"Shut up!" The smiley man hissed, glaring at him. Tommy's wrists had been bounded together by rope. They cut harshly into his skin, rubbing it raw. "My name is Dream, the other guy is Sapnap. There is no food. I know you hate me, you would have some sort of mental illness if you didn't."
"Dream? That's a stupid name," Tommy muttered. "Dream, your name is literally an inspirational quote."
He heard Tubbo snicker at his joke. Tommy looked back at him, smiling a little.
Tubbo's arms were also bound behind him, but he was carrying his blanket in them anyway. It looked ripped- had he torn it when running away from Dream?
A few days had passed. The cold weather seemed to be taking a break, so it was warmer than the days before. Tommy and Tubbo were getting tired. They barely got food a day, had almost no hope of help, and Karl's death was still fresh. Tommy hurt thinking about it. He pushed it from his mind.
Keep going. He had to fight.
"We're going to get to the castle in a few days," Dream said, bringing his hair up to fix his dirty blonde hair that was fluffy under his mask. He brushed it out from under it. "When we get there you'll get a direct audience with the Queen and I'll be free to leave."
Tommy remembered the first time he met Karl. "... the Queen's on fucking crack," he had said. Tommy wished he could talk to him again.
"What happened to Phil?" Tommy asked. "Is he okay?"
The soldier didn't reply. Tommy felt himself sigh.

They days turned into a week before they arrived at the castle. Tommy was tired and his legs along with his wrists hurt. He was pretty sure if he lived he would always have two round scars there.
The castle was tall and intimidating, but Tommy's anger toward the Queen made him straighten his back and put on a brave face. His gaze flicked across everything, trying not to miss a detail.
Dream and Sapnap escorted the young boys to the large doors. There the front guards and Dream exchanged a few words before they were allowed in. From there Dream took them across the castle.
Tommy had never seen so much rubies and diamonds in his life. They were embedded in the walls, some pillars made out of gold, and huge pictures of ugly old men and woman hung up with their frames made of emerald.
He was awed but tried not to show it. Tubbo, on the other hand, kept letting out audible gasps.
Tommy didn't know what happened to Tubbo's small blanket, but it was gone- the whole thing. He wondered about it.
Dream turned to look at Tubbo and Tommy after they stopped outside a wide door. "I want you to behave," he said, his voice cold. "If you do not I will kill Tubbo. Bow when you get in the room and only get up when the Queen tells you to. Do you understand?"
Tommy nodded. They were about to see the Queen? Already?
Dream opened the doors, walking in alongside Sapnap. The two young boys followed in after them.
Tommy saw Dream lower himself to the ground. Tommy forced himself down as well, baring his teeth.
"About time," said a light voice from above them, female. "I was worried you all died. Well, I shouldn't say worried. I just didn't feel like sending someone else. You may rise."
Tommy got to his feet, gazing around the room. It was huge with guards lined up along the wall, staring blankly ahead. There were diamonds, emeralds, other random gems all along the walls- a throne made of pure diamond stood at the front of the room, an elegant woman perched on top. She had a light green dress that fell to her ankles smoothly, the fabric not puffy.
Tommy watched her with hateful eyes. This was the woman who ruined everything. Tommy decided he didn't like woman, especially this one.
She looked like a snob. All the way to her smug expression to her ugly bright green shoes. She had brown hair, the color of Tubbo's. It was pulled up in a bun. Her face was defined in features.
"You are Tommy, correct?" She asked, staring at him. He hated her gaze on his. He could feel his skin burning with rage, thinking about Phil and Karl.
"Yeah," Tommy replied, looking anything but kind. He sneaked a glance at Tubbo, who looked fully intimidated.
Then Tommy realized it- she wasn't wearing a mask. Why wasn't she wearing a mask if she thought he could 'kill on eye contact'? Actually, no one but Dream and Sapnap were wearing masks.
"Alright. Show me what you can do," she said. He blinked, confused. "What?" He asked, his hate beginning to mix with frustration.
"I want you to show me part of your power. I'm proving someone wrong, as they say it."
"I can't do anything," Tommy hissed.
"What a shame," she replied, not looking dissapointed in the slightest. "Good job, Dream and Sapnap, but you took a little too long. Someone take care of them."
Tommy watched in horror as something killed the men, making them fall lifelessly to the floor. Tommy took a step back, beginning to pull at the rope tied around his wrists. How had they died just like that?
He saw it- an arrow that was made out of a clear material sticking out of their necks. Who had shot it? Their blood spilled onto the floor, creating a large puddle.
"Take the boys to the dungen, please. I'll have fun in maybe a week or two with them."
A few guards stepped out, seizing Tommy and Tubbo. Out of confusion Tommy tried to fight back, pulling from their grasp. He couldn't move his arms and soon got taken control over, anger burning through his veins.
"Is that it?" He yelled, looking at the Queen. "Did you ruin my life for that? You mother fucker! Stupid bitch! Pussy! Ass-" something hit him, making his vision fall into blackness.
