A week.

I haven't gone back to Mr. Akagi for a week. I'm screwed. He's going to punish me when I go back, that's why I've been avoiding the house ever since we left. But I can't help but feel bad for making the kids and the rest of Class 1-A deal with my shit. I try to keep them in my room unless it's breakfast or dinner and so far all has been well. They didn't annoy anyone at least I don't think so. They rarely even talk to the class. 

Haru always disappears in the afternoon, but I know it's just him going to Bakugou's room. They both don't say anything about what they do together, but I swear it's some kind of silent staring contest. Yet Haru comes back looking happy, if that's possible since it's Bakugou of all people. 

Sumie spends time with the girls, but mainly Momo. I think she finds her sisterly. Sumie only has "brothers" and her mother wasn't even a real mother. What I would do to punch that lady in her face. If only Sumie remembered where she used to live.....

The twins are always together yet the people who they favor are different. It's like they've come up with a system of who they hang out, it's cute. Toshi enjoys hanging out with Tokoyami and Shoji which actually surprised me when I saw it. They always keep him focused on things and I even saw Dark Shadow help Kai with holding his pencil for homework which was adorable. Yet Kai enjoys hanging out with the Dekusquad, mainly Midoriya. Maybe because he finds the stuttering familiar, or because Midoriya is calm yet anxious. It probably makes Kai feel comfortable. Though when hanging with the Dekusquad Toshi likes having staring contests with Todoroki. The dual colored guy is really just in shock with the kids. He keeps Toshi distracted enough that he wont be distracted by other things, which thank goodness. After the first time, the twins haven't been separated which I've never been more thankful for.   

Koji, well I probably see him the most. He enjoys hanging out with the Bakusquad the more than anything. Sero, Mina, Kirishima, any one of them he enjoys. He's similar to Kirishima though he likes Sero the most. I haven't figured out why since they're not very alike... Maybe he sees something in Sero that he doesn't have himself? I'll look more into it later when they come back from school. For now I'll just wait it out.

"Are you hungry?" He always gives me the same stare which means no. It's futile to keep asking him, but I would be a terrible brother if I didn't care for his health. "They'll be back shortly. You can go to Bakugou before they come back if you want." Once again I get a stare in response which still means no. I feel bad for leaving him in the dorms by himself during school hours, but I felt even worse leaving him in a house with Mr. Akagi. He always says it's okay, but I know he feared Mr. Akagi more than any of the other kids. Here he's more calm and it's a nice sight to see. All he does is reads books and studies, which can be boring sometimes, so in the future I should buy him a game. Something to keep him entertained.

"I'll be going now and don't stay up like last time! I'll be back by 4." I wave him goodbye before swinging my bag over my shoulder. Time to go to work... whoohoo.

I'll be heading over to the restaurant first. I'll probably be working in the kitchen today since it's a Friday. It gets a little wild on weekends, especially when it gets dark. Plus I'm showing up randomly too, I'm not on schedule, but they'll still let me work... right? Hopefully.

"He doesn't smile much, but Haru is my favorite! Have you SEEN his staring contests with Todoroki and Bakugou? It's like they don't know how to deal with a kid." I think its Mina's voice, but still I can hear her from the staircase. I guess the kids are the topic of the day even though they've been here for a week now.

"They're so adorable! I spend most of my time with Sumie yet we don't do anything but her hair. I have to make her a doll to play with! And outfits! And accessories of course! A brush will do as well." Momo seems to be enjoy her time with Sumie a lot. I'm pretty sure she's an only child too, so having someone like Sumie around must be enjoyable. I want to tell her that Sumie would love a doll more than anything because she doesn't have a lot of toys to begin with. She didn't come with one nor did I buy her one previously. This will be the first birthday that I'll be buying something for the kids. Last year food was scary scarce and Mr. Akagi kept kicking me out so there wasn't much I could do. Before walking into the common room I hear something else.

"But don't you find it a bit rude?" The room goes scary silent and I suppose that means everyone is taking in what Jirou just said. I don't know who else is there except for Momo and Mina, so I can't just barge in yet.

"No?" Momo answers though she seems unsure of it. Have I been rude by bringing the kids over?

"I mean they're adorable and everything, but you don't see Tsuyu bringing her siblings to the dorm. I understand if it was for a night or day, but it's been a week. We're in a school training to be heroes, we can't be babysitting a bunch of kids!" She goes off as if she's been holding this in for a long time. I mean she's right. I bring the kids over and then go off to work, so the rest of the class probably feels obligated to watch them for me. How have I not seen this before?!

"She does have a point- kero." I hate that Tsuyu is agreeing, but at least I know more people agree with her. Plus Tsuyu is a big sibling herself, she has experience with this kind of stuff. She probably doesn't want to deal with any more kids.

"Y-yeah, but K-Kaminari said he was babysitting them." Midoriya, I've never been this happy hearing you talk. I should've known you of all people would stick up for me and that makes me smile. 

"Have you ever seen Denki do something without gaining from it? He doesn't even watch them! He disappears in the afternoon and then doesn't return! We're the ones babysitting them, I'm surprised that Denki even remembers their faces from how little time he spends with his apparent 'siblings'." She says it so easily, with no hesitation. I can feel my heart racing and tears going down my face. Come on Denki. Now isn't the time to cry. You know she's right. "Where does he even go huh? Probably to see some girl I bet. All I know is that it's not here." You're a shit friend. You're a shit brother. You're shit.

"Don't say things like that Jirou! You know Kaminari better than anyone else. He's a super sweet guy!" Ochaco states yet she doesn't deny what Jirou said. None of them did. Is it getting harder to breathe? Why can't I do it normally?!

"Yeah I know, but still I refuse to believe he's doing something without anything to gain. I mean I just got out of the hospital and now I have to deal with school and kids?! Give me a break! Denki didn't do anything during that fight so he wasn't hospitalized and now when he sees that he actually has to do work he runs from it? I'll still watch the kids since I'm not heartless person. Not that Denki is, but he isn't a great brother that's wh-"

"Jirou that's enough! What you're doing isn't kind at all! You are Kaminari's friend and you should treat him with respect. What if he heard what you were saying about him? He is doing something nice for his parents and we as friends should understand." Get your shit together Denki. You have to work to earn money for the kids you don't even take care of. Pathetic.

Work. Yeah, I have to go to work.

"Yeah okay." Jirou scoffs. She sounds like she's about to say something else before she stops. Did she hear me? Damn her quirk is good huh. I quickly wipe my face of any tears before walking from the staircase.

"Hey guys!" I walk into the common room waving and Mina smiles back at me. "Are you guys just sitting there in silence or something?" I walk over to the fridge to grab one of the cold water bottles left there. I don't want to show my face. What if my eyes are red? What if they see how useless I am? I'm such a bad friend. 

"We were just uh talking!" Ochaco is the one to break the silence. I can't see them from where I'm standing, but I bet everyone is looking at her right now. Even Iida.

"Oooo one of my favorite hobbies." I laugh for a bit yet no one laughs with me. No joke or jab comes after it either. They're just silent. They're judging me. "So what were you guys talking about?" I decide to turn around after taking a sip of the water. I heard that ice helps with grounding yourself. Maybe I should get some.

"We were talking about the kids actually." Momo perks up and everyone silently looks at her. It's as if they're afraid of whoever will talk to me. I want to act like I never heard their previous conversation, but Jirou knows I did. But the question is what will she do now. Will she call me out in front of everyone? I have no doubt that she would.

"Oh? Did you need them for something? They haven't gotten back from school yet." I haven't told anyone that Haru doesn't go to school with the kids. They all just assume Haru doesn't walk with them once they come home. They always think they miss him.

"Sort of. I wanted to make Sumie a doll and some accessories to go with it. Only if that's okay with you first!" Everyone lets out a breath of relief except Jirou. She's just looking at me, or rather glaring.

"Of course! I wouldn't mind at all! I know she would love it, I'm 100% sure of it!" Momo seems to perk up at my response.

"Wonderful! If you don't mind, do you know what her favorite color is? Whenever we did her hair I just gave her either pink or purple and I don't want to assume anything since people associate those colors with girls, but anyone can have their own preferences it wouldn't make such a differ-."

"It's fine. She's not really picky so that's why she never said anything about the colors you picked. To be honest she actually prefers purple over most colors."

"This is perfect! I already thought of a dress to go with the doll! Thank you Kaminari."

"No thank you! I was planning on getting her a doll as a birthday gift, but that day is so far away. Now she'll have one even sooner! I can't wait to see her face when she gets it!" It's true. Her birthday is all the way in April and we're barely through the month of September. She doesn't have any dolls or toys, honestly the only toy she has is a book and it's not even hers. So I know she'll enjoy this gift and maybe it'll get her to trust someone else too! 

"Mmhm oh yeah sure." Jirou says sarcastically. I look at her to see she's already turned herself away from me. Pathetic. She doesn't even want to see you.

"Jirou." Iida warns, yet it does nothing to stop her.

"Her birthday is too far away? Cut the bullshit Denki. You weren't going to buy her anything let alone a gift for her birthday. Now when Momo gives her a present you're going to lie and say it was from you too, right?" Everyone goes silent. 

"But it's true, her birthday is in April! And I would never do that to Momo, she already does so much for me!" She helps my dumbass study and now she watches Sumie. Is this how I repay her? By taking credit for a gift? Selfish. Selfish. Selfish. Selfish.

"You know a lot of people like taking advantage of Momo's generosity and it's getting to the point where it's just plain rude. It's like you said, she already does so much for you, but have you done anything for her? No. You just take and take, but you never give. Don't even get me started on you being a shit brother." Take and take and take! You can't even give properly! You give up your body yet it's not enough! It will never be enough!

"B-but I never asked her to do anything with her quirk before." I'm used a charger all the time, but I'll never do that to someone else. Does it matter? You're useless! All Might, he was right! You're just some stupid useless whore like your mother!

"It doesn't matter. What's the point of asking for help when you don't even try? All you do during those study sessions is distract everyone else. You can do everyone a favor and just stop attending them. It just aggravates me how everyone is working so freaking hard yet you can't manage to sit still and study for two fucking minutes? Why bother trying?! You didn't try at the camp! You just let him get kidnapped! Isn't he your friend? You didn't even visit me when we were at the hospital. I had to hear from someone else that you were busy. With what Denki?! You're not even here to watch your own fucking siblings!"

"It's pointless talking to you. It's as if you're brain dead." She finishes and everyone is just staring at her. Tsuyu, Midoriya, Ochaco, Iida, Momo, and Mina. It's as if she cursed off All Might and everyone is just in shock. "Why are you even still here? Don't you have some "job" to go to anyway? I mean you gotta make money for that doll you "planned" on getting her right?" I drop the open water bottle onto the floor. The water spills all over but I couldn't give a damn. I never told anyone I had a job, not the Bakusquad, not Shinsou. I trusted her to keep it a secret for me. I didn't want anyone to know. No one should've known. 

"Job?" Ochaco is the first one to speak in a while. 

"Jirou! That's enough, what you are saying is incredibly rude! This would need to be reported to Mr. Aizawa!" You're a little late on that call Iida. But it's the thought that counts, right?

"That's fine. She just lashed out, anyone would've with the recent events that happened. I'm fine and she's fine. You don't have to say anything to Aizawa-Sensei, I wouldn't want her to get in trouble or anything."

"Kaminari this behavior is unacceptable and unfit for a future pro. The least she can do is apologize for her actions."

"Iida it's fine, trust me! I have to go anyway." I won't let a tear fall. Not in front of them. No.

"Denki he's right. I should've never said those things. It was messed up of me and I'm sorry." Jirou finally turns back around to look me in the eye.

"I said it's fine! What's done is done. And I already said I understand. You just came back, you must be stressed out with the work load and your body is tired and stuff. You shouldn't push yourself. I mean come on, just imagine if you lashed out like that on someone like Bakugou! I'd rather it be me than anyone else."

"But that still doesn't justify what I-."

"Sorry, but I have to go. I'll see you guys after, yeah?" I don't wait for them to respond. I quickly open the doors a rush out the building. Any longer and they would've seen the tears.
