Probably Not

When I walked to the dorms he was already there. I waved Sero and Bakugou off before dragging Shinsou to the kitchen. I look around before sighing. I look up at Shinsou, waiting for whatever he wanted to tell me. He looks down at me unsure before taking a breath in.

"Denki you've been off these past couple of days, I don't know what's wrong... is it me? You haven't been responding to any of my texts or calls an-" He's doing that anxious thing where he rubs at his neck.

"Wait, you don't know?" Does he not know about the traitor situation?

"Don't know what" He doesn't know about the traitor situation. He doesn't know about the traitor situation.

"I- let's go up to my room then." More of the class is coming back from school. I don't want them telling him anything, especially if he doesn't know about it already.

"Okay?" He raises his eyebrow but doesn't say anything when I grab his wrist. I lead us out the kitchen and to elevator. I tap my foot impatiently. What's taking it so long. Shinsou looks like he wants to say something when I look back at him but I just smile and look away.

"Shinsou?" I hold my breath at the sound of Jirou's voice. I don't look behind me but I can tell Shinsou does. He's going to answer her but I tug his arm instead.

"come on, let's go." I whisper before walking away from the elevator. We'll just take the stairs. This is fine. This is fine.

My breathing picks up at the thought of what she'd say to him. What if she tells him about her suspicions of me being the traitor? What if he sides with her? All Might, what if he believes her?

When we get to my room I pull Shinsou inside before letting go of his arm. I turn to lock the door, pressing my forehead on the cold wood. Should I even be having this conversation right now?

"Denki what is going on?" I still at his question. What do I even tell him? What can I tell him? That this was some big understanding? That half of my classmates hate me and want me put in jail? That the kids are upset with me and haven't talked to me in days? That I've been avoiding them? That I got help from Hawks while I leave them in the dark? That Dad tells me how I remind him of Mom more and more? There's so much I want to say, but so little I can say. He'll hate me if I say anything like that. It's pretty pathetic to hear how all that's good about you is your body. That you can't even protect your siblings.

All Might I don't even want to be here anymore.

"She's just really pissed off at me at the moment." I laugh it off. "It's nothing to worry about, I have it handled!"

I just want someone to tell me everything will be okay. That the kids will get adopted into safe and loving families. And I wouldn't have to go home every weekend. I hope dad gets the help he needs. I don't know how much longer I can do this for.

"There's more isn't there?"

"I want to tell you I swear I do, but it just happened and I don't think I'm ready to retell it without breaking down and crying or something." I end up laughing and he just stares with wide eyes.

"Denki do you want to tell a teacher or something, this seems serious." He walks over to me where I'm leaning against the door. I close my eyes when I feel his hand on my cheek.

"It's fine, they already know." I smile.

"They do?"

"Mmhm." I relax into his hand before popping back up. "What is it that you wanted to talk about?"

"oh."

"Is it something bad?"

"I don't think so, no."

"Then what is it?"

"i told. my dad."

"Told... your dad?"

"About you and the alley. and the whole not eating thing." My eyes widen. He told him. Shinsou told him. I mean I knew he would, eventually that is, but I still didn't expect him to do it so soon. It has been a few weeks since then. But this could end up bad. What if they take away Ethan? That's impossible he's with Hawks now. They can't do that can they?

"You did what?!"

"i told present mic about it." He told Present Mic. Somehow that doesn't sit right with me. He doesn't know about Ethan. He's even worse than Aizawa because he met the kids. Damn.

"haha so i'm right about them being your dad-." I try to lighten up the mood with a chuckle, but Shinsou doesn't laugh with me. If anything he grimaces.

"denki this isn't something to joke about. this is serious. when you told me you didn't eat anything in days, when you should me that you were staying in an alley for the night. Do you know how worried I was?! I went home worried that you wouldn't show up to school the next day, then you honestly didn't! I went back to that cafe hoping to see you again and I didn't. I didn't know what to, so I told him. I'm sorry and I know you'll be pissed and that's fine. But." He looks into my eyes.

"Denki was there something you didn't tell me? Something my dad knows that I don't? That's fine if there is it's just that when I told him he just frowned. That's it. He frowned and said he'll take care of it. He wasn't even surprised in the slightest. I don't know, it could just be overanalyzing things." He shrugs in the end, but there's one thing he said that sticks out the most. He wasn't surprised? But why. When I bumped into him at the eye doctor he only met the kids. Not Ethan. whatthefuckwhatthefuckwhatthefuckwhatthefuckwhatthefuckwhatthefuck

"Shinsou I already told you, my uncle lives there! I was just visiting him for a while, I was fine. Nothing happened you're just overreacting about this, about everything!" I throw my hands in the air. This is unbelievable.

"No no you weren't. Even if you were which you weren't, they definitely weren't okay. I told you I would help and I'm going to."

"That's really sweet of you Hitoshi. Super sweet." I brush my hand against his cheek. "But this is something I can handle by myself. I don't want to separate them, they're like a family. I know they'd rather stay outside than in some group home or worse jail." I won't let that happen to them.

"And the little kid that was there? I can't just let him stay out there especially since it's getting colder." He grasps my hand and pulls it to his lips. I stare at him and what he'll do next. He pauses and looks back at me for a response.

"H-he uh oh yeah he got adopted. Don't worry about it anymore. He just likes to visit and hang out with them from time to time." Hawks is a busy guy. He's a pro hero. The third pro hero! And I gave him a seven year old that can't read, write, and doesn't know what the hell a car is. Am I making the right decisions here?

"Denki... are you lying to me?"

"No, I'm telling you the truth. I swear on it."

"Then what about you? You said your dad isn't giving you enough money to eat. What are you going to do then? You have to take care of yourself Denki." He squeezes my hand.

"I just spent it a little too early that week is all. It's nothing to worry about, really." Who am I kidding, he never gives me money. If anything I'm the one giving him money.

"Then, did you eat something today?" He holds my face in his hands so I could look him in the eye, but I can't. I look at the corner of my room instead.

"I ate something at home."

"at home?"

"yeah."

"Denki I care about you, I want you to know that. I just can't stand and do nothing while you're hurting like this." I don't know why, but when he said that it just sparked something in me. I don't know if it was good or bad, but it made me annoyed.

"If you actually cared about me then you would've never said anything to Present Mic!" I shove him away from me.

"T-that, y-yes I should've asked for your permission before ever saying anything, but I knew you were going to say no and I didn't know what was going to happen! I didn't know if you were okay or not! I didn't even know if you were alive at that point!" I see him start to shake, but I don't care. I don't care?

"Well why didn't you just ask then huh?!" I shout back at him.

"Because you never answered your texts, Denki! The whole time you weren't here everyone acted like you were dead or something! What was I to suspect?! I WAS WORRIED DENKI! I THOUGHT I LOST YOU! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW SCARED I WAS! WHEN YOU REPLIED TO MY TEXT THIS MORNING I ALMOST CRIED!" He has tears in his eyes but he doesn't cry. I want to cry. I hurt Shinsou this whole time and there's a part of me that doesn't care. Not even in the slightest. But I can't watch him look so defeated like this.

I stare at him. I look away as my chest heaves. Raking my fingers through my hair, I take a deep breath.

"can you um- can you just leave me alone for a bit? i'm sorry, but i-i i need to rethink some things over before we can talk again. i don't want us to just yell at each other. we're both obviously hurt and i think we just need to take a breather." There. I think that's a good idea. Maybe I can think about what I want to say to him when I'm at work.

"Yeah um. Yeah okay I can do that. I'm coming back later though. Tonight. I'm not leaving you to deal with whatever this is alone, whether you tell me what it is or not." He smiles.

I return the expression, "thank you"

He walks over to the door and I stop him as he puts his hand on the knob. I wrap my arms around his waist and rest my head on his shoulder.

"Can you just do me this one favor?" I whisper as I close my eyes.

"anything."

"Just- just don't talk to anyone except Bakugou and Sero when you go back downstairs to leave?"

"Did something happen?"

"Yeah something did. I'm going to tell you I swear, just not at this exact moment. But I still want you hearing it from me first rather then them."

"Yeah that's fine. It's perfectly fine. Does this count Midoriya and Todoroki too?"

"No.. no they're fine. It's just- just avoid Jirou? She hasn't been the nicest to me recently and she'll say something to you, I just know she will. I'm just worried of what she'll say and I- I can't have you not talking to me too. I wouldn't be able to go on if you did."

"Denki." He squeezes my arm. "I promise I won't let anything she says get to me.  I won't even let her get the chance to say it."

"Thank you Hitoshi."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"This is wrong. So very wrong. We shouldn't be doing this." Midoriya repeats. He's been saying the same thing ever since they left UA.

"SHHH!" Jirou hushes him and continues to walk forward. Her patience for him is running thin, though it wasn't really there to begin with.

"We're invading his privacy! What happened to morals?! To rights!" He continues to fire back.

"We're trying to prove a point here. Besides he lost his rights when he tried to kill us, remember?"

"He never tried to do that!"

"I agree with Jirou here. We're trying to prove that she's wrong." Todoroki buds into the conversation.

"I'm not wrong and you guys will see that after today."

"How did I get roped into this?" Shinsou was supposed to leave the dorms with no complications. But things don't always go as planned.

"Sorry about that Shinsou." Sero was the one who dragged him along. And who was Shinsou to deny especially since Denki told him that Todoroki, Midoriya, and him were the people he could trust. And that's three out of the five people he's with.

"Yeah I don't really want to be here either." Kirishima grumbles. That's one of the things that had Shinsou confused. Why was Kirishima but Bakugou the one Denki said he could talk to? The red head is usually cheery.

"Yeah well you don't really get a choice." Sero answers.

"wait we got a choice?" Hitoshi looks up.

"Just be glad that I didn't bring Bakugou along. I'm sure he wouldn't be taking your bullshit right now. Should be happy that I'm helping your relationship here." Sero ignores Shinsou.

"We're fine." Except they're not. Bakugou hasn't spoken to Kirishima ever since that Saturday. Eijirou just thought he was getting the silent treatment but honestly now he's a bit worried about his relationship with him.

"uh huh."

"Where is he even going?" Hitoshi points to the blonde in front of them. That's the whole reason why they're here anyways. They decided to follow Denki as soon as he left U.A.

"He's going to work." Midoriya informs him to which Shinsou nods.

"He's going to the league!" Jirou sighs.

"Shut the fuck up Jirou because like I said I didn't come along to hear your bullshit. I came so I knew you wouldn't do anything to him." Sero stops her to look directly at her face. He waits until she nods before pushes her away and walking.

"Okay? So then why are we following him?" Hitoshi asks next.

"I;m sure he didn't tell you the full reason why yet, and no you won't be telling him either Jirou! Denki will tell you when he's ready, I'm sure of it. But just for some context so you're not totally in the dark, some people here don't believe that Denki has a job."

"That's stupid. We could've solved this 'problem' if you just got me to ask him."

"well-" Sero starts before looking at the others for help.

"Jirou! Jirou was going to, but Denki said he didn't want to be asked." Midoriya finishes for him.

"okay then." Another thing Hitoshi finds weird. Denki never had a problem with Shinsou brainwashing him and asking questions before. In fact he likes it! "So what now?"

When they look back in front of them they see Denki walking onto the train. Sero looks at the group.

"We follow him on this train I suppose."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have two jobs. They both pay me decently and I'm even surprised they hired me at the time I applied. I was younger then and definitely more pitiful ha. Dad didn't always leave the house and keep my alone. He didn't drink or do drugs much either, they were just a stress reliever and that's okay. The beating started early so it wasn't because he was influenced by anything, so I guess you could say he hated me from the start. That's fine, he had a reason to anyways. But despite it all he still cared for me. He went to work every so often, he would buy me clothes, food, and sometimes even toys. It didn't matter if he forgot to feed me every now and then. It didn't matter that he let me wear the same set of clothes for years because I wasn't going anywhere. And I was fine with the broken toys he brought home, it made me feel special in a way. So what if he touched me in places I didn't like? He always fed me afterwards. I liked how it was before, before they came and maybe I'm a bit selfish because of that. Dad liked me back then, he cared.

And then it all came to an end. Just like that he stopped buying me new clothes or toys, meals came twice a week, and though I'd be grateful for anything he gives me I had Haru with me. Haru, some 3 year old who couldn't hear. So it got more complicated since he needed to buy meals for the both of us. Dad couldn't do it on his own, that's probably why he stopped working. I started to find other ways to make money and I brought Haru along with me. We made a lemonade stand, we walked dogs, I served as a battery, I did everything a 10 year old could do. I wasn't the brightest, so it was harder to do things like tutoring. But I managed, we managed. It was okay at the start, all I did was buy us food and Haru toys.

Then it got worse. I should've known it was coming but I was 10, how could I? The bills all came at once. The calls to the house about paying the electricity, the water, the AC, everything. When I told Dad he just laughed. He laughed in our faces.

'I saw you with your money the other day, hiding it from me. What I can't know? If you're so grown to get a job then you're old enough to pay the bills too. If not you'll just die here, not my problem'

Even though I wished he was, he wasn't lying. I'm surprised I managed to do it. How was I supposed to gain money? I wasn't at the age to get a job and even if I was I couldn't work that many hours. I got the job at the shop first. Mr. and Mrs. Po were very sweet and gladly took me in. They let me keep Haru in the break rooms too when it was late at night. They offered us any food or snacks in the shop for free, but I only take when I need it. They earned their business, I didn't earn anything. The second job I got was a while after, at a restaurant. I was sure they wouldn't hire me but they're family owned so having young workers was normal. I learned how to cook and bake there. If it wasn't for them the kids and I would be eating our every day.

I would say working at the restaurant can be fun at times. I work there from the afternoon to night, so I'm usually closing up. Which means any leftover food is up for grabs. If we do have extra I usually bring it home to the kids. It doesn't happen often but I like to give to them first before myself. Though since Aiko is taking care of them I guess I can decline the offer for the extras or eat the food myself. But that would be selfish. If I didn't eat the provided meal at school then I don't deserve to eat the restaurant's.

Once the trains comes to my stop I get off. I already feel my body getting sore from training today. I sigh before walking to the nearest bathroom. Once inside I lock the door and walk up to the mirror. I take a paper towel from the corner and run some water on it. I wait for it to get decently wait before wringing it out. After that I wipe at the back of my neck, which is usually covered by my hair. Once I see the concealer wiping off I throw away the paper towel before looking into the mirror. I try to focus on the spot though I have to crane my neck in this uncomfortable position to do so. The color is still there but it's faded. I'm sure this means the bruises will heal in a few days and I can take off the rest of the makeup. I smile at my reflection before fixing my hair to cover it once again. I put my bag on the counter before checking I have my uniform for the next shift. Content that I have everything, I make my way out the bathroom and down the street. I start to see the restaurant in the distance before my phone starts to ring. It spooks me a bit because I wasn't expecting a call, at least I don't think so. What if it's the kids? What if it's Hawks? I've learned to not name my contacts and just memorize the number. If I keep a contact name he'll get suspicious. I get my phone out of my back pocket and hit the call button.

"Hello, you are speaking to Kaminari Denki. Who is this?" Because I don't know who it is. It's safer to go with a neutral greeting rather than one I'd give Sero.

"Denki where are you, your shift is about to start in a minute or two and it's packed here! We need more hands!" Kiku. She's one of the workers at the restaurant. She's like a naggy older sister if I'm being completely honest, but I'll never tell her that.

"Oh shit sorry, I haven't really been focusing on the time. My whole day has been off." I pick up my pace so I can reach the building sooner.

"You better be glad the boss isn't here today because it's her kid's birthday, or you would be a goner by now." She threatens.

"I'm going I'm going!" I hang up the phone.

I start sprinting at this point. All so I could get to work on time. Once I make it to the front doors I take a turn and head to the back. The back door is always open because it gets hot in the kitchen.

"Sorry sorry, I'm here now. I'm getting changed." I go to the corner where there's a pile of black clothes laying on the floor from where I left them last.

"Could you please come in your clothes next time Denks?" Kiku sighs as she watched me struggle to tie my apron around me. She lets me struggle for another second before coming up to me and tying it herself.

"I left it here from last week! I promise it was an accident and I won't forget it this time. Probably."

"I'll take it, now let's go! I'm going to wait on the people that just walked in and you're in kitchen today so be ready and on your A game." She pats my shoulder before walking to the door that separated the kitchen and the venue.

"Ahhh but I thought I was waiting today!" I like being a waiter. It's fun to meet the people that walk in.

"Yeah well the boss isn't here and you know that when the boss is gone we're understaffed in that station. Denki, she told you about this weeks ago!" Kiku pauses at the door.

"Exactly, weeks ago! I forgot okay?!"

"You're lucky you're forgetful!" She pushes the door open and leaves. I dust the apron and she comes back through the door. "And remember to eat something too! I better not see you leave without a meal." She rushes out the door again. I chuckle at her. She really is like a big sister.

"I will!" I call after her but I'm sure she can't hear me anymore. I shrug it off before walking out of the break room and into the kitchen. I see our chef working on a dish at the moment. He notices me and smiles.

"Kaminari! How's my favorite little chef doing?" His name is Naoki. He's the one that taught me all about cooking. The boss did too, but she was mainly the pastry chef here.

"I'm doing just wonderful, thank you for asking." I chuckle knowing that's not the response he wants. He shows it by putting the pan down on the stove again.

"Not you! I'm talking 'bout Toshi." When I didn't trust Dad enough to watch the kids over the day and before I let them stay at the library, they used to follow me to work. They usually stayed in the break room and did homework or play, but Toshi enjoyed watching us cook. If I was on kitchen duty then Toshi would follow Naoki and I all day and watch us cook. Sometimes he would help prepare a meal too. That's why I trust him the most with cooking.

"He's keeping his siblings alive with his cooking." I don't know how the kids are actually doing right now, but I remember when Aiko sent me pictures of them cooking. I'm sure he does that now when he's up to it.

"They should be thankful for him. I'm sure Haru would've poisoned them all including himself if Toshi wasn't there." He laughs before grabbing some seasoning. He's probably right about that too. I know Haru loves his siblings but I don't trust him in the kitchen.

"I'm a hundred percent sure that if Haru doesn't then Koji would. But at least Koji's would be an accident." probably

"I like Haru's spirit. But don't tell him that, I wouldn't want to make the kids jealous about favorites. Especially since you already have your own favorites."

"I have no favorites at all. I love them all equally."

"Yeah yeah." He laughs before checking the time. "Come on it's 3:30, we should start making his lunch order now."

"How much did you get done?" I walk over to his station and see some of the prepared boxes.

"Up to the dessert. For some reason he likes the way you execute it more than me."

"That's because I'm a skilled pastry chef." I walk over to the kitchen and take out the eggs. I sigh before looking up at his order for today. He sure eats a lot. Makes sense because of his quirk.

"Okay then Pastry Chef, get to it. He'll be arriving in an hour or so."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Kaminari went inside there?" Midoriya points to the sign in front of the restaurant. The rest of the group looked unsure of the establishment.

"I guess this is where he works then. I never pictured Denki working here, I would've guessed a gaming store or arcade." Sero shrugs before turning to the rest of the group.

"Well what now? We can't just go inside can we?" Shinsou argues.

"Well, why not?" Sero asks.

"Are you paying?" At Shinsou's words everybody deflates. They didn't think the job Kaminari worked at would need to be paid for. They didn't even think they'd get this far honestly.

"I can pay." Todoroki holds up a card. It's his dad's of course. And he's willing to pay for the meal even if it wasn't his father's card.

They give each other a look before shrugging. It's not like Denki would catch them inside.

There's a stand for the host. Todoroki is the one who decides to walk up to it. The host looks up from his stand and smiles at Todoroki.

"Hi can we get a table for 6 please?" He shifts to the side so the host so he can see the rest of them group. He nods before taking 6 menus.

"Yup, right this way then." He leads them farther into the restaurant where they can see how it is decorated. It's more modern than usual places but it had a traditional style to it. Todoroki takes a look around to see a few tables occupied. He's sure his dad wont mind him eating outside of his meal plan. The waiter brings them to a empty booth in the corner. It's enough to fit all of them. Shinsou, Midoriya, and Sero sit one side and Jirou, Kirishima, and him sit on the other. He's right across from Midoriya and smiles at him once he notices.

"This place is nice and cozy, I like it." Kirishima comments which makes him turn. Kirishima is at the end of the booth, across from Sero. He must've taken in the decoration as well.

"It's a family and friends owned business, so that's usually our goal. And it's the same staff every day, so you'll get more comfortable overtime." The waiter smiles before realizing his words. "That is if you come back!"

"A family and friends owned business." Midoriya mumbles to himself more than speaking. "Do you mind if I ask who works here then? It's our first time and I'd love to come again!"

"Oh of course I don't mind! It'll save you time from learning it anyways. Well I'm a new worker here so this is my third week but the others have been here way longer! First there's the boss, she's my aunt. Then we have our head chef, his name is Naoki. Him and the boss make all the meals, though she prefers to do the baking. Then there's me, Kiku, and Kaminari. We're the waiters and hosts. Though whenever we're understaffed Kaminari works in the kitchen like today, so you wont be able to see him." He smiles at them. From the way he talks about everybody Todoroki guesses that he's younger than them. But probably by a year or so.

"Kaminari?" Jirou questions him.

"Yup, Kaminari Denki. Do you know him?" He eyes the group. There's a slight fear that he'll notice them from sports festival and any other news articles. If he does then he might tell Kaminari.

"Yeah he's our frie-." Shinsou covers Midoriya's hand. Todoroki guesses he might've realized the possibility as well.

"We saw him during the sports festival, but no we wouldn't say that we are friends." Hitoshi finishes. He removes his hand from Midoriya's mouth and the boy just ponders in his seat.

"Oh that's a bummer then. I'm sure he would love to meet you guys, he loves meeting new people!"

"No it's alright. We kind of came here without his knowing. We didn't know he worked here so we don't want to shock him or anything." Shinsou winces at the pun.

"Gotcha! Well in the meantime have you thought of anything you would like to drink?" He takes out a notepad.

This will be a long day.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Are you done with those macarons yet?" Naoki calls from his position at the stove. I finish the last macaron before taking a step back and looking at them. Though I don't like the matcha flavored macaron myself, I can say that this looks pretty good.

"Yeah I'm just placing them in the box now." There's a white box in the corner and I start putting the macarons inside.

"Good because I just saw him walking over now." He wipes his hands on the rag before going to the back door. We closed it earlier because a bird tried to fly in.

"Perfect!" I close the box up and place it in the bag with the rest of the foods and desserts. I can hear the door open and the both of them walk into the kitchen.

"Hello Naoki, hi Denki." The pro hero gives his waves.

"Hi Fatgum! Here's your order for you and Tamaki for the day." I point to the big bag on the counter behind me. He smiles before gasping.

"Woah that's a lot." He walks over to me.

"Well we know how food is an essential part to your guys' quirks so it's no problem at all if we made a bit extra. I even found some leftover squid and fried it for Tamaki. I'm sure he'd love it." I beam. I'm glad I saw it when I was looking for fruits in the cooler. When I asked Naoki about it he said he brought it to test out some new recipes and I could use it if I needed.

"Oh I'm sure he would." He laughs heartily. Fatgum is a warm and caring pro hero. I can see why Koji loves him so much.

"So how's it looking out there today?" Naoki starts. Crime rates here aren't that high, but there are days when things get rough.

"Just a few petty crimes here and there. Nothing too crazy for today." He shrugs before grabbing the bag.

"That's good to hear." Naoki sighs before going back to his station.

"Well then if that's all, I'll be heading out." I watch him walk over to the door before realizing what I was supposed to do.

"Wait! Um if you're not that busy at the moment could I ask you of a favor?" I walk up to him.

"A favor?"

"Yeah and it's a pretty big one too." I'm not even sure if he'll agree.

"There's nothing I can't handle. Lay it on me."

Well that's what you say now.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"You can go to your next job now Denki, I think we're gonna close up early tonight." Naoki tells me as he wipes the counter. "The boy already left too so you should be heading out too."

"You have to learn his name soon, and there's no one left?" I walk to the break room to start changing out of the uniform and unto the next. I like the store's outfit, it's green. I thought it would look back when I first started but it's growing on me.

"There's just a group of teenagers, but I'm sure they're leaving now." I walk back out to the kitchen.

"Okay then, thank you!" I walk over to the door.

"No problem kiddo." He replies.

"no problem kiddo."

Kiku stops be from walking out and pulls me back in the kitchen. "Oh no you don't. Denki did you eat something?" She crosses her arms.

"Well I thought I could just grab something on the way there..?" I give her a shy smile.

"Uh huh, that's what you always say, but then the kids tell me you don't eat a thing. Look at you you're even getting skinny, you're a hero in training you need the nutrients. Dad make him some chicken or something."

"I got some cooking already. I'll go ahead and put that in a bag for you." He calls.

"No you really don't have to do that. I'm fine, the kids aren't even here to take some."

"We're giving it to you, not the kids. And no you are not fine. You haven't eaten today, and don't even say anything to that mister because I know you haven't. Now take the bag of chicken and eat it on the way there. I'm pretty sure the Po's would even let you eat it during your shift too." She paces around the room before taking the bag from Naoki and handing it to me.

"Aw you really do care about me Kiku!" I tease her.

"JUST GO!"

"Well thank you guys! I'll see you tomorrow!"

I push the door open and start walking through the venue. I pause cause it sounds like someone is shouting, but I can't tell from where. Could it be those teens Naoki was talking about? I better check to make sure. When I get closer I can make out the voices and it definitely sounds like someone my age. I decide to walk up to the table with a smile and ask if they're okay.

"Sorry I overhead some yelling and I just wanted to check if you guys were doing alright and if everything is..... okay" When I open my eyes I see the group in front of me. They're not just sound loud teenagers, they're from U.A. More importantly they're from the hero course. Even more importantly they're from my class. My eyes widen as I try to take in who's here.

Sero I don't know why he's here. I haven't told him where I worked. If it was just him I'd be okay, but he's here with

Jirou that's concerning. I don't know why they're here together and what that would mean for me.

Kirishima I haven't talked to Kiri ever since everything went down but seeing him here makes me tense.

Midoriya I trust him, I know I do and maybe it's him that makes me realize everything's okay because he's also here with

Todoroki I know Roki wouldn't do anything he deemed unnecessary, but it's the fact that he's here.

Shinsou

"w-what are you guys doing here.." I drop the bag of chicken on the floor.

"Kaminari-" Midoriya starts, but I cut him off.

"I SAID WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!"

no no no nononononono this can't be happening
