It's Rude

I want to scream

"So how would you both like to start this?" He shifts so he's able to drink his coffee more comfortably.

We both sit in silence right across from him. I wish I took Hawks' feather to the heart so I wouldn't have to be here.

"Okay then." He places the mug on the table. "Maybe you'd like to talk about the events that occurred earlier tonight since they're still fresh in your minds?" He quirks his eyebrow. When he hears nothing from us, he continues. "My student informed me, through a very painful call might I add, that there was a bird man threatening her and he called her a 'bitch'. Hawks are you threatening my students?"

"She called me a bird?!"

"You always pick the wrong thing to focus on. How about we start with something easy. How is it that there's an underage student temporarily living in the home of a pro hero without the knowledge of his parent or at least training in the foster care department?"

"I thought you told him!" I shout at Hawks. He blinks at Aizawa before turning to me.

"I did tell him, he's just playing dumb!" He points.

"He's right, I did know." He smirks before picking up the mug. Hawks gasps loudly.

"That's just foul, Eraser." Aizawa shrugs.

"But that's not why I asked. I wanted to know the reason from you Kaminari."

"But didn-" I pause. "It was because of the situation that happened at the dorms. Hawks wouldn't let me go back, that's what he told you right?" I look between the two of them. Aizawa keeps his usual expression on while Hawks shifts in his seat.

"Hawks told me a lot of things, I'm here to listen to you." A lot of things? From the day Hawks found me? Or Ethan. No, he wouldn't.

"Sorry Mr. Aizawa, but I honestly don't know what you want me to say right now." I shake my head.

"Kaminari just, tell me. What happened at the dorms that morning? I've heard all sides of it trust me, even his." He points his gaze to Hawks before looking back to me. "But I haven't heard the most important one's yet, which is yours."

I don't really know what to say. If I tell him the truth my classmates could get suspended and Jirou could possibly get expelled. But it wasn't that bad anyways. You could've handled it.

"Nothing really happened Mr. Aizawa, it was one big miscommunication." I clap my hands together with a smile while avoiding his gaze. I see Hawks sigh from the corner of my eye and I deflate a little.

"Denki I understand that you care deeply for your classmates, and I do too. But from what I heard they put you through that weekend you shouldn't. The majority of the things mentioned about that morning were out of line and I as your teacher and guardian must take the necessary actions to discipline your classmates, but I cannot take the right measures needed without hearing your side of the story." He sighs while rubbing his temples. He must be pissed, no. Annoyed. He's annoyed at you and your bullshit Denki. You just had to go ahead and cause trouble for everyone didn't you.

"Aizawa Sensei, you gotta believe me, it was my fault. Honestly." I look up at him. The best thing to do is take responsibility. If I get expelled then that means I can get another job most likely morning shifts. I'll be able to get the kids adopted and pay Mr. Sho, Hawks, Mr. Eto, and Aiko back for all they've given me. Then I'll stay with Dad, like I was always meant to be. It'll be okay.

"And why is that Kaminari?"

"why is what?"

"Why do you think that your classmates harassing you on a Saturday morning is your fault?"

"Well Mr. Aizawa, I brought my siblings over that previous week without telling the others beforehand and-"

"Which you were given permission to do. Directly from me I believe." But it's different. He didn't actually mean it, he just said it to let my Dad say yes. Right?

"But w-well Jirou got upset sinc-"

"I don't really give a flying fuck of what Jirou thinks. Is Jirou a member of the staff?" I slowly shake my head no. "Is she your supervisor?" Again, I shake my head. "No. She's your classmate, and more importantly my student. She has no authority to say what she said, only I do. What she did was disrespectful and I have half a mind to expel her-"

"YES!"

"Hawks." He turns to the other man.

"Sorry." He stays silent for a moment. "I got excited."

"As I was saying. I should expel her for actions. I myself should be punished as well for not taking the correct actions earlier when I noticed her behavior towards you."

"That's alright Aizawa Sensei, I'm okay."

"It's not and you're not. Denki tell me, what did she say to you beforehand?"

Just tell him what she told you that one afternoon with the others. You don't have to mention the traitor things.

"I uh, she said that I was taking their friendship and kindness for granted especially Momo's." I look up to Aizawa and plead. "It's just that I'm used to having them be at the house by themselves and going off to work. I didn't really expect anyone to watch over them, honest." To that he raises his eyebrow.

"Alone at the house by themselves? Isn't the oldest 6?"

I realize the mistake. "I-no. They're not completely alone y'a know. My Dad is home too. Plus it's only when I can't take them to their babysitter." He sits up from his slouched position after.

"And your father, he's home often?"

"Often enough I suppose." I shrug my shoulders. I'd rather he not be.

He takes a glance at Hawks before clearing his throat. "I hope you wouldn't me a few questions of my own about your home life Denki?" I take a shaky breath in. What could he possibly want to know?

"no not at all." yes very much so.

"Does your father have a job with a stable income?"

"yes? Well no I suppose... He still gets his paychecks, does that mean something?" He hasn't had his job in such a long time. I don't know if he quit or if he got fired, I just know the checks stopped coming in when he accused me of stealing them. And even if I went to work limping and a black eye, I still picked up an extra shift to cover his part. Every week they send it and I personally give it to Dad so he doesn't see the name. And then those checks disappear, but I have a good idea of where they go.

"You see Denki I did some looking of my own, and I came to find out that your father is unemployed. Only you in the household has an income. And it's been that way for years." His eyebrows furrow. I don't know what to say. I didn't even think about him being unemployed on his records.

"He probably has an over the counter job, trust me I've seen the checks with my own two eyes. And I don't make that much anyways, it's just some extra cash."

"Two jobs with unworldly hours is just some extra cash? I find that very hard to believe especially when you spend that extra cash on the well being of those children and your house." He sighs.

"Sir I don't really know what you're implying here." I look between him and Hawks. Hawks looks back at me with a grimace that makes me nervous.

"Your father. He isn't really there is he? Is he neglectful? Does he hurt you and the other children?"

"I- no? Why would you think something like that? D-did you say something? I turn to Hawks who can barely even look at me. No, he wouldn't.

"Hawks has kept me in touch of any of your conversations together through a provided recorder. This was his assigned job. Him and Mic should of told you that the day you met each other?" He looks confused as if he was the one that has been lied to this whole time.

"assigned job? Mr. Aizawa I dont think I know what you're talking about here." I can feel my fingers shaking. I feel out of breath.

"Pro Hero Hawks was assigned the task-"

"Aizawa."

"-to help you, Mic was the one who suggested it after realizing how similar you two were."

"s-so you lied to me?" I turn to Hawks who snaps his head up.

"No Denki I never lied, I would never do that to you." He rushes out.

"This was just some other mission to you wasn't it? Once it was done then you'd just ignore me huh? Oh give the poor foster kid pity and he'd believe everything you say. Is that what you think of me?!" I stand up. I can't believe I thought someone cared. I sniffle as very obvious tears roll down my face.

"No Denki I swear I would never hurt you and trust me I was going to tell you, but you were just getting better before everything went to shit and you were so u-unstable. It wasn't the right time." He's fumbling over his words and for the first time I can say I saw his eyes go glossy.

"WHY DID I EVER TRUST YOU?!" I take a deep breath. "Wh- ha what am I doing here?" I pull at my hair frantically. "Stupid STUPID" I hit my head a few times.

"Denki. denki please where are you going?" Hawks pleads.

"I'm leaving. I- haha I'm not listening to whatever this is anymore." I let go of my hair and storm off to Hawks' bedroom. Haru is still sleeping peacefully, unknowing to anything going on. I pick him up careful, I don't want him to rustle awake and see any of this. I walk back out to the living room, not spearing the other two a glance before picking up my bag.

"Denki let's talk, PLEASE"

"Kaminari I cannot allow you to leave."

"Watch me." I slam the door behind me. I pause to give myself two seconds to breathe before rushing down the hall. I don't want them to catch up, that is if they go after me.

I can't believe how stupid I was to believe that the Hawks was supposed to help me better control  my quirk. No haha, they just wanted to fuck with my feelings. Wanted to give some idiotic foster kid hope just to tear him away from his siblings with no remorse. It must've been fun for them to pretend to care and mess with me. Poor helpless Denki coming into school with bruises and a limp. He must be getting beat at home. With how dumb he is I can hope he is. Maybe he'll get the shit beat outta of him so bad he won't be able to come back. Oh how I wish Dad would just let me.

I can feel the tears roll down my face as I look up at the night sky. I pull Haru closer to me, I wish he came with more than what he has now, but I'll just wrap him up in my coat once we get to the train.

All Might, I feel so fucking stupid.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I thought you told him."

"N-no No! Are you crazy?! You think even if we told him from the start he'd be okay with it?!"

"You could've told me beforehand. I didn't know he'd react like that."

"Have you not been paying attention to any of our conversations?! I told you multiple times he was unstable. When I told you to come tonight it was just about Jirou, nothing else."

"I saw the opportunity."

"Well now he ran away, what will you do now Aizawa?"

"We split up and look for him."

"And if we can't find him."

"We will."

"We better."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm tired by the time I get to the door, and it's late and so so cold. I gave Haru my jacket to cover. The train was colder than I thought. I hope she's not sleeping, if I know her well she should be organizing something Mr. Eto did that she didn't like. I'm glad that Mr. Eto installed a doorbell for times like these, even though this has never happened before. I press the button to ring it. As I wait I feel myself getting worked up again. And the tears are staring and my chest is tightening. Everything feels like some sick twisted joke I just can't believe it's happening to me. Haven't I had enough?

"Who.. is it-"

"um hi Aiko. I know you weren't expecting me, it's so very late into the night and I'm usually at work at this time. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I figured you'd be awake. I'm just here to drop off Haru for the night. Sorry he's still asleep, you know how long it takes him to get to bed, so I decided not to wake him." I try to keep my sobs at minimum, but it's much harder when all I want to do is just give up.

"I- D-denki?"

"A-and I'm sorry, but I can't really take Ethan back at the moment either so can you watch him for a bit? I'm sorry, it's just I'll be gone for a little while..."

"Y-you're crying Denki. What happened? W-who hurt you?" She furrows her eyebrows, but I can't look at her anymore. I wipe my nose before looking back down at Haru who nestled his head in my neck.

"I um, I have to get to work now. I really wish I could stay, but I can't." I give her a smile. "I hate leaving like this. It isn't fair to the kids, but they'll be alright with you. Can you tell Haru I'm sorry for letting him wake up without me there?" I pass him to Aiko who is still looking at me crazy.

"Denki you can't just leave like this."

"I'm sorry Aiko, but I really have to go. I'm late enough as it is."

"At least tell me where you're going?"

"Don't worry, I'll be at work."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hello ma'am. I'm Aizawa Shota, Pro Hero and homeroom teacher to Kaminari Denki." He lifts up his badge. "Has Denki clocked in for work tonight?"

"No Deary, he told us he wouldn't be back in a few days. 5 or 6 days to be exact, or was it 4?" She looks off to the side. "We assumed he had an upcoming field trip he forgot to tell us about. Is that not the case since you are his homeroom teacher? Is something the matter?" She looks up at Aizawa worriedly. She's a petite woman, 4'10 at best. Her husband is off to the side, not joining in the conversation but still listening in.

"I- no ma'am there shouldn't be. But if he messages you again please contact this number to let me know." He hands her a small slip with his personal number. "Please don't share the contact as well."

"Thank you, I'll be sure to let you know."

"If that's all, I'll be going."

"Wait!"

"Yes ma'am?"

"Take some cookies with you, you seem to have a long day ahead of you." She hands him some of the kitten shaped cookies she had up front. "A Pro Hero can have sweets too."

"thank you ma'am." He whispers.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I haven't seen this place in years. I hoped I never would have to again. There are marks that I will never heal because of here. I shouldn't have come back, but it's the fastest way that I know. So.

I enter the club

or try to at least.

"No kids allowed in this facility, no matter how grown you think you are." He probably hasn't recognized me, it has been a few years and I've grown. Plus I'm missing an obvious factor.

"I'm not here to watch." I stare him in the eyes.

He raises one of his brows. "Did someone request you here?"

"I'm Akagi's son." I look back down. I didn't think I'd need to do that ever again. Maybe this was a bad idea.

"Oh yes! Sorry about that Young Kaminari. Forgive me, but it has been a while since I last saw you, definitely more than 5 years. Y-you've grown to be a fine man...why are you?"

"Can I just go inside?" I look past him.

"Yes of course. Did you need assistance getting to his room or the breakroom? It's the same spots."

"no"

"Very well then." He moves to the side to let me pass. Since it's past midnight there's still people here, a lot of people. So hopefully no one will recognize me. They're probably all wasted to realize anyways. I look back at the door. He's standing there with a frown. Here is where I make the choice. I push the door to the back and walk through the halls. I walk up to a door with a gold plate and open it.

"Who is it?" The man grumbles from inside.

I don't say anything as I lock the door behind me and walk up to his desk.

"What are you doing back here lightening? I never thought I'd see you here again especially after your father was fired."

"I need to make money. fast."

"Straight to the point. My have you changed to that shy little boy from before."

"Will you help me or not?"

"Your father would skin me alive if he knew you were here."

"Maybe he would, maybe he wouldn't. But he doesn't know and I'm sure he doesn't care anymore."

"My you are something."

Just block it out Denki

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When she hears the doorbell she rushes to the door. Hopeful that maybe Denki changed his mind and returned, but what she's met with is red.

"Aiko have you seen Denki?" He's out of breath. His feathers look all ruffled and he definitely shouldn't be standing right now. But she doesn't care.

"You idiot!" She slaps him. "You said you would take care of him! You made me think he was safe with you!" She sobs as she drops to her knees. She's exhausted from all the nonstop crying. After Aiko placed Haru down with the rest of the kids, Denki was all she could think about.

"I'm sorry- he was! He really was!" Hawks covers his mouth to silence his own sobs. She looks up to see his hand gripping a random piece of fabric, but he doesn't seem to care about it so she doesn't bring it up.

"Tell that to the boy that was just crying his eyes out when he came to drop Haru off. Hawks you better fix whatever you fucked up I swear to all might I will kill you if he's hurt." Her red eyes pierce into his gold ones. Though she's not capable of actually killing him, she'd try her damn hardest to at least ruin his career.

"Aiko have you seenDenki?"

"Keigo."

"what?" She looks up at him exasperated.

"My name. I promise I'll bring him back safe.

"You better Keigo."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Fuck dammit what did I do. What did you do!" He pulls out his ponytail as his heart races. "He's gone, he left you. You don't deserve him. You shouldn't have done that, god you're an awful person." He stumble into the kitchen. A knife, that's all he needs. "I can't. I- can't go on like this. I don't deserve to, not with what I've done." He starts opening all the cabinets looking for the one where the knifes are hidden from his reach. He knows they're hidden for moments like this, but he really wishes they weren't.

"Come on, come on there has to be something." He cries as he collapses on the floor. Maybe he can starve himself to death...

He lets his breathing even out before closing his eyes

But for only a moment.

Knock Knock

"Mr. Kaminari, open your door."
