Get Out

"OUT! ALL OF YOU, OUT!" I would love to think that he's gone batshit crazy and that this isn't a normal occurrence, but it is. Mr. Akagi is done with us for the night though I'm really the one to blame. Who knew a guy would be so upset over the fact that you can't hide your bruises this week because you have testing.

"Hurry! Come on, come on!" Like I've said I don't like yelling at the kids, but desperate times call for desperate measures because if your so called guardian is throwing objects that should not be thrown at you, then by all means I can do whatever the fuck I want. Which includes yelling at five kids to grab their shit and run out the door.

After hearing the door shut behind me and seeing the absolute terror on their faces, realization hits me like a truck.

I should've just done it. I could've done it. It just would've been a little more difficult to hide, but I could've done it. Now look what happened.

"Denki?"

"Yes Koji?"

"Mr. Eto is still sick. Where are we gonna go?"

Fuck

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay this is fine. Everything will be fine. This is not fine.

Out of all of my options, which let me tell you was practically nothing, this had to be hands down the best and worst one yet.

U.A. Hero Academy, a school training the next generation of pro heroes. Which means it has to be one of the safest places for the kids. Yet it somehow manages to be one of the worst places for them to go. I've been in this school long enough to know Class 1A is full of nut jobs, and I'm in it! We are just one nosy bunch of kids that loves breaking bones and going to the villains before they even think about coming to us.

"I know this isn't the ideal place to stay especially since it's my school, but we'll be safe here for the meantime. There's food, working heaters, and a cozy bed and futon but before all of that there's some things we need to cover." I turn away from the dorm's entrance doors to look down at the kids. Oh boy this will be a living nightmare, I'm sure of it.

"The rules?" Toshi perks up at the thought of guessing correct, but I know he's hoping that he's wrong. None of them really like the rules, but they still look at me with the same questioning face. If it wasn't for the obvious facial features I'd say they're truly siblings.

"Not quite. It's a little different, though I don't think you'd mind really. It's actually quite the opposite." I can't believe I'm doing a crash course on Class 1-A right now. Especially to a bunch of kids, if anything I would've thought I'd be giving Shinsou this talk. "My classmates are very different from how we'd normally act. They're lively people so they tend to be loud at times when they don't really mean it. They might bombard you with questions and yes they might pick you up without asking but I can't guarantee that. I think they'd be more fascinated by you rather than be upset, but I still want to make sure some things are clear before all of that happens." This is an important talk and all, but I just remembered that there's literal floating clothes in my class and I'm just hoping none of them will question it even if she starts talking to them.

"Listen to me because this is important. There are about nineteen of my classmates and I know first-hand you don't like meeting a lot of people or associating in conversation with them, but bare with it for a second. Let's get some things clear. Once we enter that building Mr. Akagi is unimportant, don't talk about him to any of them. Think of it like school. You're all foster siblings and of course the twins are twins. Lastly, no Mr. Eto. I know we talked about him to the teachers, but not the students. I promise I'll bring you to my room as soon as possible or when something goes wrong, but for now we'll just have to bare it. Okay?"

The chorus of affirmation was all I needed. It took practically all of my confidence and courage just to open the doors of hell then it was immediately gone. Kid you not, I am not exaggerating when I say that everybody was staring at us. Kota isn't even here, but I bet he'd be silently judging us from his usual corner.

"Denki, tell me you did not just kidnap a bunch of innocent kids and brought them to the school, and I'm just imaging things." Sero was the first one to say something and I don't know if I wanted to laugh or die. Second option doesn't look bad if I'm being honest here.

"Sero my good friend you are not on drugs this time. There are literal children in the dorms. No, I didn't kidnap them. They're my younger siblings. Ta-da!" I give jazz hands yet no one makes any attempts to laugh at it. I even got Bakugou and Todoroki surprised. "Uhhh, any questions?"

"Any questions? Any questions?! Of course there are fucking questions! When'd you get siblings?!" Mina starts the chaos I like to call Class 1-A cause now they're all asking questions.

"I wasn't aware you had siblings Kaminari. If you said something about their visit I could of prepared something such as toys?" Momo has her hair down for the night and I wouldn't have recognized her if it wasn't for her proper tone. I go to give her an apology for not mentioning it sooner before I get interrupted.

"The little shits don't even look like you!" Bakugou points out which screw him for being observant, but it's already being corrected before I can say anything.

"What he means is you guys are really adorable unlike Kaminari! Not saying your older brother doesn't look manly, but it's different? I give up on trying to understand this." Kirishima's hand is covering Bakugou's mouth to keep him from spewing out any other profanities.

"Why did you bring them to U.A.?" Someone is actually asking important questions, but knowing it's Midoriya asking them isn't putting my mind at ease. It might actually cause me more stress cause I might have a Todoroki on my back talking about love children and child abuse which is a fun conversation to have with someone who has a literal demon for a dad.

"Where are their parents or rather your parents?" Iida, class president, sonic impersonator, robot in the flesh. Shut up.

"Can I hug them?!" The floating clothes is now jumping up and down. I wonder what's going on through the kids minds as they see Hagakure for the first time.

"With them being your siblings I would've thought they'd be jumping all over the place with how energetic you are." I don't know if I should take what Jirou said as a compliment or an insult, but I'll just roll with it.

"If Kaminari is Pikachu then does that mean they're Eevee evolutions?" Ochaco whispers to herself. I actually like that idea, but picking who's who is difficult.

"You sure you didn't kidnap them?" Sero is still in shock and honestly I don't blame him. I haven't talked about the kids. I didn't even say I had siblings.

"Did they eat? I'll go prepare them a small snack." I don't know if Sato reminds me of the class mom or Momo, but either way I will not pass up free snacks.

"Spill it Denki! If they're really your siblings then talk about them! What are their quirks, name, social security numbers?!" I get that this is surprising, but is no one gonna question that last part Mina just said or is everybody just gonna brush it under the rug as if it was Mineta. Which reminds me, where is he?

"No, 'Hi Denki, it's been a while. How's your day?' Nope! Just straight to the point huh?!"

"Out with it!" Mina threatens me with her acid hands and I'd rather keep unwanted scars off of my body for a while.

"Okay okay! Meet the kids! The youngest is Sumie!" I walk over to her and signal her to wave. "She is four years old and the only girl! Her quirk is Thread! She can turn anything into thread and use it to sew!" I can see Midoriya taking out a pencil and notebook. "And no Midoriya you cannot do a quirk analysis on her or the boys!" He quickly throws the pencil across the room and hides the notebook. Somewhere....

"Next up are the twins! Meet Toshi, he's the oldest of the two." I point to the more confident looking brother. "The younger one is Kai." Toshi turns around to show Kai clutching his back. This causes some aw's from the girls, but I still continue. "They're both four like Sumie. Not going in depth with their quirks, but don't separate them! Never do it!"

"Coming in with the second oldest is Haru." I tap his shoulder to grab his attention since he seemed to be distracted by something in the distance. He looks at me and I give him a small wave as a demonstration of what to do, but he just stares at the others. "He is almost six years old and is a bookworm like is older brother!" I point to my chest before taking a deep breath. I have to choose these next words carefully. "He has selective mutism and is deaf! His quirk is also complicated so I won't mention it." I can see Bakugou perk up when I mention that Haru is deaf. This will be interesting.

"Lastly we have the oldest, the biggest teddy bear you'll ever meet, the Bakugou look alike! Koji!" He gives one of his bright smiles. "He is six years old, but not for long! His birthday is this month! His quirk is Mimic! If he's sad then you're sad, if he's mad then you're mad! He can make anyone feel the same emotions as him and long as they're in close proximity."

"So yeah, that's it."

Not even a full second later and the kids aren't by my side anymore. I figured this would happen, but I would of never thought it'd take them this long to actually do it. I look around the room to see who's with who. Sumie has been taken by Momo and Hagakure on the couch. She doesn't show signs of enjoying whatever they're saying, but she doesn't look like she's uncomfortable yet. The twins are with Mina, Jirou, and Ochaco. I can see they listened to me since the twins are still with each other, but who knows how long that will last? Koji is fully invested in Ojiro's tail. I've taught you well Koji. First with purple hair boys and now Ojiro's tail. Haru is having a staring contest with Todoroki which is hilarious to see from anyone else's point of view since Todoroki is probably two feet taller than Haru.

He seems to be enjoying himself, so I won't take him away just yet. I go to the kitchen instead to look for Sato, but the only thing I see is Bakugou. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

"Drop the act Sparky, where'd you steal the little demons from?" Bakugou is fully serious and I don't know whether or not to laugh about the fact that he called them little demons or that everyone here thinks I'm capable of stealing five children without arising suspicion.

"I'm serious Bakubro! They're my siblings. We're not blood related, but that doesn't really matter." I'm hoping Bakugou gets the hint. "Anyway, I think you should talk to Haru since you know sign language and everything. He'll have someone else to practice with instead of teaching the kids it. He'll probably like you a whole bunch for it too!"

"Shut up. I'm not gonna go and entertain some fucking brat!" He storms away but in Haru's direction. You big ol' softie, no one is gonna judge you for wanting to spend time with a kid.

After deciding Sato is a lost cause, I leave the kitchen. I go to relax on the couch which was much needed. It's not as if Mr. Akagi just let me go without doing anything. I got my share of marks to proof today wasn't just nothing, plus the fact that he tried throwing a whole phone at me. Not very fun.

Before I could close my eyes I feel something move on me. I look back down on my lap to see Sumie sitting in it. A quick glance at Momo tells me Sumie left her as soon as I got here. The obvious favoritism doesn't go unnoticed, but it does go unsaid. Momo doesn't look like she's trying to get Sumie back so I start a little conversation without her while she watches.

"So Sumie, Haru did your hair again today." I know since Koji can't braid for the life of him, Kai makes more knots with his shaky hands, and I'll be surprised if Toshi even knows what a brush is. It's not that he's uneducated, it's just he never uses it.

"He did! I even asked him to put the two puffs higher like bunny ears! Like the bunny hero!" She explains with such excitement you can't help but smile and that's what I see when I glimpse at Momo. She's looking at Sumie as if she's the world and I can't help but smile brighter. I'm glad someone else sees the kids this way.

"I can see that." I chuckle while patting her head. "You see that girl over there?" I point at Momo and Sumie nods in agreement. "She knows a lot about princesses, heroes, and all sorts of things. If you want, she could probably do your hair in any way you want."

"Will you stay here if she does it?" She looks up at me. I know she already knows the answer. There's really no point in asking it.

"Of course! Let me just go check up on the boys before I come back and watch okay?" I lift her off of my lap and I watch as she walks over to Momo, sits right next to her, pulls both scrunchies out of her hair, and place them in Momo's hands. All Sumie has to do is point at her hair and say, 'please' before Momo forms a brush and starts having at it.

Now to check the boys

I walk over to Ojiro, Sato, and Tokoyami. They're all sitting at the table and it looks as if they're playing a game of cards. Normally I'd brush off the fact that Ojiro looks anxious since he's playing a game and probably doesn't want to lose, but Koji is still playing with his tail so I don't know for certain.

"He went straight for the tail as soon as he saw it. You two must be related then." He chuckles nervously before placing a card down on the pile.

I walk closer only to get hit with a sudden wave of anxiety. How has Ojiro not suspected anything of this? I kneel down to Koji's level to see him fumbling with his hands, no longer playing with the tail.

"Koji." I whisper. "Is something wrong?" He's still stuck in his trance, He's not even looking at me, he's just looking forward. Yup, this isn't good.

"We're not home. We're breaking the rules. He won't be happy. He's gonna hit yo-."

"Shhh." I quickly pull him into a hug before he can finish the sentence. Hopefully, fingers crossed, Ojiro and the others didn't hear a thing that just came out of Koji's mouth cause there's no level of bullshitting that can cover that up. "It's going to be okay." I whisper in his ear and I can hear him let out a sigh. He probably exhausted himself with trying to get out of that.

"Is something the matter?" Shoji takes his attention away from the card game to ask us, which is really sweet of him. I'm glad he's one of the sane ones in this class.

"He's just a little nervous meeting all these new people! He'll warm up to you guys pretty soon, I'm sure of it!" I lift Koji up and off the floor.

"Oh, sorry about that! I didn't even realize. It's pretty late for kids, plus he's meeting people? It must be exhausting for him." Oijro apologizes though nothing was his fault at all.

Sato takes out a muffin from a basket and hands it to me, "Here's a muffin if he wants it. I didn't know if they're were allergic to anything or not so I just left it regular."

"Thanks! He's just lactose intolerant, but other than that he and the kids are fine!" And thank goodness too. I can't even afford milk on the best days, so it's not as if Koji has to truly avoid it.

I carry Koji over to the couch and place him right next to Sumie. I place the muffin in her hands, but she ignores it for the time being. She examines him for a second before taking his hand and begins a ramble about something while Momo finishes up her hair. I have confidence she can bring him back to his usual self faster than I can. They usually cheer each other up whenever the other is down and though it's usually Sumie who's upset, she also has some experience with Koji and his episodes. I watch them for a few more seconds before deeming the situation handled. It wasn't as if I could do anything else anyway. Not with the class around. It wouldn't be very Kaminari of me.

"Oh look at, 'I'm not gonna go entertain some brat' Bakugou, doing the exact opposite of what he said!" I walk over to Todoroki and Bakugou. Todo is still intensely looking at Haru, but Haru's attention is all on Bakugou.

"Oh shut it Dunce Face, no one asked you! Where'd this twerp even learn sign language? He just went on a whole tangent about some book without any pauses." Bakugou looks to be amazed by Haru which is basically an achievement. Cherish this moment Haru, you'll never see it again.

"Oh, he learned it from his biological parents, but I'm the one who practices speed with him. Honestly I just think he got excited that he was talking to someone who knew sign language without needed it to be slowed down. I know he enjoys our talks, but you're someone new, you know! He's interested!"

"You're a good big brother." Todoroki compliments.

"Aw thanks Todoroki!"

I let Haru finish his conversation and decide to see how the twins are doing, but when I go over to where the girls are I only see one twin. Where is Toshi? Fuck Where the fuck is Toshi?!

"Uh guys?" I get the attention of Ochaco, Jirou, and Mina. They stop fawning over the frightened Kai for a second. "Where's his brother?" I point to Kai who looks like he'd rather be anywhere but here which is one big fat mood.

"Oh he kept looking and touching everything so we kind of just let him roam the dorms for a bit." Ochaco answers as if it's the most obvious thing ever. Haha. End me.

"You let him WHAT?!"

"Relax! Don't worry about it so much. He's with Kirishima. I'm pretty sure they went to the kitchen." Ochaco quickly adds. Telling me not to worry then following it with Kirishima isn't the best thing ever. If anything it'll make me panic more.

"But I said not to separate them at all!" Kai slightly flinches which pretty much tells me he's done for the night. I'm realizing how terrible this idea was, but I knew it'd end up like this.

"Oh shoot, I forgot! Sorry Kami Baby, I should've paid more attention." I'm just ignore the fact that she's being nice to me again since Kai's in pain and Toshi is in danger. I'll figure out what's happening with my friends another day

"Don't worry about it. I'm just gonna go bring him to his brother now, so if you ladies don't mind I'm just gonna grab him." I pick up Kai from the couch and I can already feel him starting to tremble more violently. No. No. I won't les this happen, not here.

"Kiri!" He flinches at the shout of his name. Whether that's because I yelled it or because I'm the one calling him isn't clear yet since he believes I'm some kind of traitor. Like I said, friend problems are a different day, which isn't today.

"Oh hey Kaminari! I was just showing Toshi around the place for a bit! Did you need something?" He's holding Toshi pretty close to him. Does he seriously think I'll hurt Toshi?! I don't have time for this.

"Cool cool. Could I maybe take him back though? It's way past their bedtime." Not exactly a lie since it is pretty late, but it isn't the truth cause I let the kids fall asleep whenever they can.

"Of course! Gotta get those hours in, I get ya! Have to be energized and ready when you're training to be a hero, even if you're so little!" Kirishima gives Toshi a goodbye before I take his hand. Kai's breathing is finally starting to even, but after I get them upstairs I'm sure they'll be fine.

"Sumie, Koji, let's go." I call them as I past the couches. Momo already finished Sumie's hair which is in two french braids which I could assume is for sleep. I thank Momo as I walk over to the elevator and though I don't hear it I know she thanked me back. "Koji go get Haru."

The girls watch in disappointment as the kids are taken back and though Bakugou and Todoroki don't whine like they do I can clearly see them upset when Koji takes Haru's hand to bring him over to the elevator. Finally we can leave, so I push the button to my floor.

"Good Night!" I yell at the class and hope that no one was looking directly at the kids since they all just visibly tensed. They yell goodnight back which just causes the kids to flinch, but the the elevator doors close before they can see anything. I let out a sigh. That was exhausting and stressful.

We walk to my room in silence where the kids finally take off their backpacks. They already know their routine and are changing into their pajamas before I can say anything. We continue the silence even as I help Kai in and out of his clothes. It's peaceful moments like these that make me wish I could keep the kids forever, but sooner or later they'll get adopted. I direct Sumie and the twins to the bed since they're the smallest. I place the futon on the floor which I silently thanked Sero for forgetting in my room. Koji and Haru get comfortable on it by taking their own sides.

"I'm sorry you guys had to go through that, but know they don't mean you any harm. They just like giving people affection and they do that physically." I sit on the floor right next to the door.

"You don't like them doing that either." Koji points out. It makes me wish they weren't so clever, but I love my bright little siblings.

"You're right, I can't say I do like it."

"But you're always hugging them and you're all over them." Sumie adds.

"It's just how I'm supposed to be."

"Are we supposed to be like that?" Toshi asks while petting Kai's hair.

"No."

"Well not unless you want to. I can't stop you from doing what you want." I correct.

"I don't want to be like that." Koji immediately answers.

"Me either." Toshi agrees.

Sumie nods her head, Kai always agrees with whatever his brother says, and I know Haru wouldn't even dream of doing that.

"That's okay, you don't need to." I rest my head on the door as I close my eyes thinking this conversation is over, but it never is.

"Then why do you do it?" Toshi questions.

"So people know I'm happy."

"But you said it's okay to not be happy." Sumie's bringing up that one time I had to sit down with them and talk about mental illnesses. I finally had that talk with them after Toshi's teacher gave a letter to him about ADHD. I remember seeing him cry to me because he didn't know what it was and he already assumed the worse.

"I did didn't I. Well I have to be the happy one in my class."

"Why?" Koji interrogates.

I don't remember them asking these many questions when they were younger. They're honestly beating Todoroki and Shinsou in this department.

"Because a lot of bad stuff happened and now everyone is sad, so I cheer them up."

"Do they cheer you up too?" He follows from my last statement.

I've never thought about it. Without thinking I'd definitely say yes, because my friends always made me happy, but how much of that was a lie? How much of you is a lie?

"I- I don't know, but let's not think about it right now. You guys have to go to sleep, we'll talk more in the morning, okay?" I see them nod their heads in agreement before they drift to sleep. I smile before opening my phone to see various texts from Mr. Akagi.

I can never win, can I?
