Mike's POV

I stared at her eyes and then down at her body. I had said we needed to talk, and I was awaiting for what to say.

"First things first, and I know it's not going to make anything better, but I'm sorry," I said as I moved a little closer to her.

"I don't care how sorry you are, you left me to be embarrassed at my own wedding! I thought we were fine Mike, I really did!" She screamed at me.

"Look, I know you hate me, but you do know I love you right?"

"Love me? If you really loved me you'd give me an explanation to why you left me by myself at the damn altar!"

I grabbed her hand and then she started to cry. My face dropped and then I grabbed her into a hug. I felt her crying into my chest.

I felt so guilty about all of this. What I wanted to do right now was just kiss her and tell her everything was going to be okay.

"Maryse, everything will be okay," I whispered into her ear.

She looked up at me. "Don't think just because you're here, it makes me forgive you."

I nodded, and then she gave me another hug. Whether she forgave me or not, I just wanted her to be okay.

"When was the last time you ate?" I asked her.

"I don't know, two days ago?"

"Two days? Maryse?! You need to eat something now."

She sighed and then I ran out of the room. I knew Maryse's favorite meal was a veggie burger and fries. Of course she wanted a sweet tea, and ketchup for the fries.

When I came back, I saw Summer in there with her.

"So he came?"

"Yeah, I don't remember much, I remember opening the door, seeing him and now I'm here."

Summer nodded and then I saw her leave with Dolph. I walked in and planted the food on the tray in front of her.

"Mike, you didn't have to do this."

"I know, but I wanted to," I said as I sat down next to her.

She ate all of her meal, which was good because I knew she hadn't eaten anything for a while.

"Thank you," she whispered.

"Maryse, again, I know it doesn't change anything, but I really want to try to fix things between us."

She looked at me. "Okay, you want to fix things? First step is, you move back in."

I held my breath and then looked at the seriousness in her eyes. I was willing to do it, but this seemed like a big first step to me.

"Alright, I'll stop by Zack's and pick up my stuff and then I'll be at the house," I started to get up.

"Wait," I felt her hand grabbed my wrist. "Can you stay here until I'm allowed to go home?"

I smiled and then sat back down. "Of course."

Then, she did something that I never thought she would do.

She grabbed my face between her hands and kissed me.

She quickly stopped herself. "I'm sorry, Mike. That wasn't necessary."

I gave her a reassuring look. "Maryse, I've missed that."

She looked down at her hands and then her finger, which I noticed no longer had her engagement ring resting on it.

Then, I made her look at me, and I kissed her back.

This was a big step, considering that we hadn't even been speaking.

However, I wasn't regretting any of this, I missed her so much. I was just happy she was letting me be here with her.
