it was around 7 in the morning the sun has just risen but the two boys were still sleeping jaemin woke up earlier cuz he has this habit of waking up early

he looked at renjun and got tensed he was curled up like a ball and was whimpering the younger got shocked by this

"renjun renjun" he whispered shaking in slightly in the hopes of him waking up

"no please stop it hurts really bad" the smaller boy whimpered

"please don't hit me I will not leave next time please"

jaemin POV

what is he talking about I feel it's a nightmare

"renjun wake up" I said a little loudly with hope that he will wake up

"stop please" he continued whimpering

I shook him to wake him up but it was of no use he a heavy sleeper

"NO"

he woke up with sweat in his forehead and was shaking

"renjun" I touched his shoulder and he flinched

he immediately covered his ears and brought his legs near his chest my heart clenched at this I was never gonna hurt him this nightmare has a serious effect on him, I came closer to him

"hey hey renjun I am not gonna hurt you"

I gently hugged him because he was in a really vulnerable situation right now and he hugged me back really tight

his breathing was really irregular, he was sniffing and was shaking was little

"injun take deep breaths and let all your emotions out" and I started drawing circles on the back of his head

he started calming down and eventually did we broke the hug and I wiped his tearful eyes

"did you hear me" he asked

"yea I did but I didn't understand anything you said but I am sure it's a nightmare"

"it was" and he snuggled into my hoodie

"wanna talk about it"

"no"

"it would be better"

"I don't want to, it's just it's not a one time nightmare something happened in my life so due to that I get frequent nightmares and I am not comfortable talking about them"

"sure it's fine if you become comfortable with it just rant it out" and I kissed his forehead

"I find it funny you know we aren't even in a relationship yet we act like we have been together for years" he said and giggled

"well get used to it I am a really clingy person"

"don't worry I like it" he said and I smiled looking at him I am falling really hard for him

"wanna eat something because you didn't have dinner yesterday" I said

"yea I am hungry"

"wait lemme make pancakes okay"

then i stood up and went to the kitchen

renjun POV

after he went I ran my hand into my hair I am so glad that I speak in chinese when dreaming ugh these nightmares are killing me why I just can't remove them from my life

thank you so much the devils of my life due to you two now I am in this situation

I laid in the bed and was playing with my fingers because I don't what to do now

I didn't even realise I was lying for a really long time

"renjunnieeeeee" jaemin said more like sang

"coming"

I stood up and went downstairs jaemin had already prepared everything that was really sweet of him

"thanks for that"

"it's fine no need to thank me"

I giggled and we both sat at the table and started eating

"today is our date I am so excited" he said

"mee too"

honestly I am nervous I don't know whyyy ugh it's gonna be fine don't be nervous

"when are we going" he asked

"in the evening I actually have some work"

"sure it's fine"

after eating I stood up and went to his room to get my phone moments later I came

"um nana I should go now don't forget the date" I said

"sure and I will never byee"

I waved at him and went to my house

jeno POV

it was around 10 am I woke up because there was a lot of noise downstairs I stood up from my bed, wore my glasses and went downstairs to check what was happening

I was scratching the back of my head and saw mom and dad are here preparing something

wait what they are here I guess they took a holiday mom was making food and dad was setting up the table

"what is happening here" I said

"ah jeno your uncle and aunt are coming they will arrive in a few hours so get ready"

"ahh okay I should get ready now"

then I went to the bathroom I brushed my teeth, showered then went to my room and changed

after changing I came downstairs to help them

"mom should I help you with something"

"um no actually I am done with everything"

"okay sure by the way I don't have to come out of my room right"

"no you need to socialize" and I groaned in annoyance

"but why I don't wanna meet people"

"you just say a 'hi'and their son is also coming he is a year older than you so talk to him"

"sure sure" I said in a bored tone

i was just looking through my phone then the door bell rang dad went to open the door I guess uncle and aunt came I approached them

"hi jeno long time no see" my aunt said

"yea it's been a long time" and smiled awkwardly I don't know what to say

"so here is my son his name is mark he is a year senior of the same school you used to go"

"yea i know him, he is quite known"

"you two should go to jeno's room and talk"

"sure let's go"

"yea" mark said

we entered my room and he said

"I am quite known bullshit, bro we played basketball together"

"sorry forgot to say it" and smirked

"ey whatever, it's been a long time cousin" and patted my back

"yea has been a long time"

"what's going on in life bro found someone in life after that girl"

"no single as fuck unlike you" I said

"why you gotta drag me into this you have gotten a lot sassy now"

"shut up" he replied

then we started talking about random things

jaemin POV
a skip to 6pm

so I called renjun and we are gonna have the date at 6:15 it's 6 now I just got ready

why am I getting nervous I mean it's a date A FREAKING DATE omg omg I am panicking so much I don't why it's just renjun

I took a deep breath checked myself in the mirror I looked good today oh my god where did that confidence came from

it feels weird whatever I decided to call renjun if he is ready or not

"hey jaemin"

"oh renjun are you ready"

"yea I am ready"

"okay"

then I ended the call and went out of my house and went to renjun's house it is a goof thing that we are next door neighbours

I rang the doorbell and waited

minutes later the door opened and it was none other than renjun, he looked super cute and beautiful

"hi" I said

"hey let's go" he replied

"yeaa let's go"

then we left to our first destination which is a cafe

after a long time we arrived the the cafe 'moonlight melody' and entered it

the cafe was empty today which was better I guess we both took a seat and I went to order renjun just wanted a latte and I will have my coffee so I ordered that

after ordering I sat with renjun

"sooo" I said

"yea"

"I wanna ask are you nervous or it's only me"

"I am too it's my first date actually"

"you never dated anyone" I asked shocked

"nah you were also my first kiss that day" he said and his cheeks turned into a light shade of pink

"okay I am glad that I am your first" and winked

"stop" he punched my chest slightly and I giggled

author POV

the overall atmosphere of the cafe was really romantic cuz of the two, both of them were just drinking their coffee and talking and were having a good time

they felt comfortable in each other's presence and it was really good for them

then jaemin suddenly said

"um so I want us to be official" with a deep blush

"really that's so good I am really glad"

"so huang renjun-"

"do you want to marry me or what it's so cliche"

"eh whatever so injun will you be my boyfriend"

"well why would I say no to that obviously yes"

then both of the boys came near to each other they were at a really close distance they were so close that they could feel each other breaths and jaemin took the first step and connected his lips against the older's ones

renjun obviously kissed back and wrapped his hand around the younger's neck

the kiss was a really soft kiss and both of them really enjoyed it

then suddenly the door opened but the boys didn't even notice

the person glanced at them and immediately noticed them

"renjun jaemin" he said

the two disconnected their lips and embarrassed turned to the person it was none other than

"jeno"
