Do You Have A Plan? Yes or No?

Izuku silently berated himself as she rushed through the halls of Heights' Alliance, towards the teachers' accommodations. How could he have been such an idiot to not remember what the League was up to? Of course, he had been kidnapped and there were scarily large gaps in his memory not only from those three months but also from that very day, but that was no excuse!

Izuku could hear Katsuki rushing after him, throwing questions out to him in a vain attempt to gain some sort of context concerning the situation that Izuku was so worried about, but Izuku had no time to answer Katsuki's questions. Izuku had full faith that his teachers would have come up with some sort of plan by this point, but his worry wouldn't be satiated unless he heard directly from All Might or Aizawa about even just the foundations of their plan to tackle Shigaraki and his attempt to takeover hero society as a whole.

"Izuku!" Katsuki yelled, "Slow the fuck down!"

Izuku didn't dignify Katsuki with a reply. He simply powered onwards. He had to know what All Might and Aizawa were going to do about this. Sure, they would be mad at him for being out of the dorms after curfew. Sure, they would most likely tell him it was none of his concern because they just knew that he would get himself involved. Sure, Izuku was expecting them to withhold information, but as long as he got even a shred of information, he would be fine with that.

When Izuku (and Katsuki, who had followed him with a stormy expression) arrived at the teachers' accommodations, he was surprised to find that Present Mic and Aizawa were already standing outside of the dorms, conversing in low voices. Izuku couldn't hear what they were saying, but their body language was intimate. This wasn't completely unexpected since it was a well-known fact within Class 1A that Aizawa and Present Mic had been married for five years.

Upon seeing Izuku and Katsuki rushing over to them, Hizashi and Aizawa subtly moved further away from one another as they turned to face the boys.

"What are you two doing outside of the dorms after curfew? If there is an emergency, you know to use the signal," Aizawa admonished sternly.

"Aizawa!" Izuku gasped for breath, after three months in captivity, his endurance was abysmal, "Have you made a plan to stop Shigaraki?"

Aizawa looked baffled for a second, such a question came from nowhere, but his confusion quickly faded from his face, replaced instead by a steely glare. "That's none of your concern, Midoriya. When you showed us those pictures, we immediately started making a plan. A plan that you, nor any of your classmates, are privy to."

Izuku nodded his head rapidly in understanding, "Yeah. Yeah. I know that, just please tell me you have a solid plan. I don't know what happened to me when... when I was kidnapped, but I do know that it couldn't have been anything good. They could have looked at my memories. They could have created a nomu that looks and acts exactly like me. They could have done anything to me just so that they could infiltrate UA and take down the school and hero society along with it!"

"Midoriya," Aizawa sighed wearily, he placed a hand on Izuku's shoulder and gave it a reassuring squeeze. "We have conducted many tests on you, and you are not a nomu. I know how your mind works. Trust us, trust the pros, we have got this handled."

Silently, Izuku nodded. He did trust Aizawa, above a lot of adults, and he trusted that he had a plan to stop Shigaraki. But... Izuku still couldn't shake the overwhelmingly foreboding feeling that had coiled itself around his fragile heart.

Katsuki was annoyed that he had to chase his boyfriend through the campus just when he was about to fall asleep. And to say that he was mortified when his teachers saw him in his nightwear would be a massive understatement. All of that's to say that when he returned to his bedroom with Izuku at his side, he wanted nothing more than to go to sleep and let the entire night's events fall into the past. But Izuku had other ideas.

As soon as they entered the room, Izuku started pacing in front of the bed, mumbling 100mph as he went. Katsuki fell onto his bed and threw his arm over his eyes.

"Izuku..." Katsuki groaned, "Stop pacing, get in the bed and go to sleep. I can't be bothered with your muttering and shit. I'm tired, and I'm not gonna be able to sleep if your pacing like that!"

"Ah, sorry, Kacchan," Izuku startled, "I'm just annoyed."

"Clearly," Katsuki sneered.

Izuku sighed and shook his head. He gently laid himself down beside Katsuki and let out a long sigh. The two of them fell asleep quickly after that, the excitement of the past hour had faded from their systems, leaving them exhausted.

The next day, in class, Izuku was a ball of nervous energy. His leg was constantly bouncing, his lips were red from the skin he was biting off of them and his fingers were constantly tapping against the desk. It was distracting. Everybody in the class wanted to say something to Izuku, but the bleary look in his eyes and tenseness in his shoulders warded off anybody calling out his behaviour. Everybody just chalked his bizarre behaviour to the fact that he had returned from a traumatising experience. There was no way that he was completely ok after being kidnapped, right? Katsuki himself had been subdued and easier to anger after he had been recovered from the LOV.

"Midoriya, could you please answer the question on the board?" Ectoplasm asked, snapping Izuku out of his contemplative mood.

"Huh?" Izuku said as he snapped to attention, his eyes whizzed across the blackboard, solving the equation mentally, "Umm... y  equals 15x to the power of three minus 78x plus 9?"

There was a pause in which the class held their breath in anticipation, "Correct, please pay attention to the lesson, though, Midoriya." Ectoplasm sighed.

Izuku nodded his head enthusiastically, but he went back on his implicit promise near immediately. His head was back in the clouds and he was staring at his desk blankly once again, leg jumping and fingers tapping.

Classes seemed to drag on for Izuku that day, but as soon as they ended, he was out of his chair and rushing towards the dorms. If Aizawa wouldn't let him help in planning, then he would work himself to the bone to build up the muscles he lost during his captivity. Maybe if he proved that he was still capable he could convince All Might to convince Aizawa to convince Nezu to allow him to be of use during whatever their plan was. It wasn't foolproof, but All Might was scarily easy to manipulate (though Izuku was hesitant to use that specific word, it sounded just a bit too nefarious for his taste), he listened to Izuku, maybe he would listen if Izuku complained about his lack of involvement.

Guilt ate away at Izuku's heart as these thoughts passed through his mind. Why was he thinking about manipulating his mentor to get what he wanted? Was his hero complex that out of hand? Was he willing to do anything to embark on what was no doubt a suicide mission? As Izuku entered Katsuki's room, he shook his head with dismay. What was happening to him?

Izuku was out of his school uniform and into his workout clothes in a flash. He was already leaving the room when Katsuki showed up at the other end of the corridor, eyebrows furrowed and eyes fixed in a steely glare.

"Where are you going, nerd?" Katsuki asked gruffly.

"To train, Kacchan," Izuku chuckled in a slightly exasperated tone, he thought (given his clothing choice) what he was going to do was pretty obvious, "I've lost muscle because of, you know, so I need to build it back up."

Katsuki huffed, "You've just got back, Izuku, you should rest."

"I'm not some damsel in distress, Kacchan. I understand why you're concerned, but I feel fine, really. I can't just sit around doing nothing and expect to retain my skills and control over my quirk." Izuku smiled minutely up at his boyfriend, he took Katsuki's cheek into his hand and offered it a gentle squeeze. "I'll be fine."

Katsuki heaved a great sigh but acquiesced nonetheless. Who was he to stop Izuku from doing as he pleased? Even if it was detrimental to his health. Katsuki could yell, berate, scream or (God forbid) beg all he wanted, but Izuku wouldn't listen unless he wanted to. He was stubborn, like that. And Katsuki loved him all the more for it.

"Fine, whatever, just don't tire yourself out, nerd. I'll be studying, if you want to join me when you finish." Katsuki huffed, pecked his boyfriend on the cheek and entered his room.

When Izuku finally arrived at the gym, he was the only one there. It was perfect for building his body back up to how it had been three months prior. He started by running on the treadmill to warm himself up before moving swiftly onto some weight training, being sure to add less weight than he would have liked, he wasn't looking to damage his muscles, after all.  It was as he was doing some lunges to cool off that things started getting a bit fuzzy.

He started to lose count of what he was doing. He wasn't sure why he was in the gym. He knew he had somewhere to be.

It was only at a later date, when all was said and done, that Izuku would come to recognise what had happened to him. But, as and when it happened, all Izuku really remembered were flashes of his surroundings and actions.

He was in the forest where he had fought Gentle Criminal and La Brava.

There was a phone in his hand, it wasn't his, it was ancient, the sort of phone Uraraka had started their first year with. The number on the screen was unfamiliar, and it didn't have a contact name, but he called it anyway.

He was standing at the school's perimeter, phone to his ear, mindlessly relaying information. the voice was vaguely familiar, but he couldn't be sure. It was like he was hearing everything from underwater.

He felt drowsy. He wanted to lie down and take a nap, but the voice said no, so he stayed awake.

When Izuku regained awareness of his surroundings, he was stood outside of the gym. It was almost as though the entire sequence of memories hadn't happened. Izuku would think that he had imagined the entire thing if he didn't have mud on his shoes, proving he had been on an impromptu trek through the forest.

Izuku sighed and ran his hands through the bush of hair atop his head. He felt like he was going crazy. With another shake of his head, Izuku started walking back towards the dorms. Nothing felt right since he had returned to UA. Everything was disjointed and askew.

Katsuki was worried. Not outwardly, but his chest was a mess of nausea and nerves. Izuku was acting ever so slightly out of the ordinary. Wanting to train as soon as he deemed himself fine wasn't bizarre, in fact, Katsuki would have been worried if he didn't immediately jump at the chance to go to the gym. No, Katsuki was worried because Izuku was acting spacey. Before he had returned, Katsuki had overheard Uraraka and Hagakure speaking, apparently, Hagakure had seen Izuku wandering around near the perimeter on his phone with a dull look in his eyes. Also, when he had returned to the dorms, Izuku hadn't replied to anyone's greetings, nor did he perk up with excitement when he noticed that Todoroki and Sero were playing the new 'Heroes: Unleashed' game that he had been raving about for a year. Something was wrong with Katsuki's boyfriend.

Katsuki found Izuku in his room, he was sitting at Katsuki's desk, staring blankly at his open textbook.

"Izuku..." Katsuki called to his boyfriend, but he didn't respond, "Izuku, are you ok? You look like you've just seen All Might kissing your mum." Katsuki's attempt at humour seemed to somewhat stir Izuku from his unresponsive state. He frowned and side-eyed Katsuki.

"Please don't joke about that, Kacchan, I'm fairly certain I saw All Might giving my mum bedroom eyes whilst they were both visiting me in the hospital, once..." Izuku croaked.

"Well, think of it this way, nerd," Katsuki snickered as he sat on his desk, looking down at Izuku, "At least then your childhood dream would come true. All Might would be your dad, and he'd be my pseudo-father-in-law."

Izuku cracked a smile at that, though it was only small. Katsuki would take what he could.

"Are you ok, nerd?" Katsuki asked quietly. His smile sobered and he placed a hand into his boyfriend's abundant curls. He liked running his fingers through Izuku's hair. It was soothing for both of them and it reminded Katsuki of earlier days, in their childhood when Katsuki would say he only touched Izuku's hair because it was so stupid and puffy.

"No, I don't think I am..." Izuku sighed, "There's... I just feel odd."

"What do you mean?" Katsuki asked with concern. There was a sort of vulnerability in his voice that he only (rarely) showed to Izuku, even before they were dating.

"I blacked out again today. This is the second time it's happened since I've come back. This time, I remember walking around, but that's it. I'm worried." Izuku sighed.

"Yeah, that is pretty worrying, maybe it's some sort of trauma reaction or memory loss. You should go and speak to Recovery Girl." Katsuki suggested though they both knew that it was less of a suggestion and more of a demand. There were no two ways about it, Izuku was going to Recovery Girl, even if Katsuki had to drag him there.

"But... if I go, they're just gonna constantly worry about me. Aizawa, All Might, Recovery Girl. Everyone. They'll all be on my back about everything." Izuku sighed heavily, he threw his head back and covered his face with his hand. "I don't want to bother anyone."

"So what if you bother people," Katsuki scoffed, "If you drop dead because you were too much of a coward to go to the nurse's office, then we're gonna have issues. What if there's a tumour on your brain. Or you're being brainwashed and controlled by villains? Hmm? Bet you'll wish you went to the nurse's office then!"

"Recovery Girl checked me over when I got back, Kacchan. I doubt I'm being controlled." Izuku huffed.

"Doesn't matter, you should be checked again," Katsuki argued, "You have to talk to Aizawa tomorrow about what you remember from the past three months, right?" Izuku nodded silently.

"Then tomorrow you can talk to him about him. And, if you don't, I'll tell him myself, got it?" Katsuki growled. He lowered his face so that he was staring directly into his partner's eyes. It was at times like these, random times during the day when Katsuki just so happened to look at Izuku closer than he usually would, that he realised how amazing his boyfriend was. When he realised just how much he loved and cared for Izuku.

"I love you," Izuku whispered, his lips ghosting across Katsuki's.

"Yeah... I love you, too." Katsuki muttered. The two collided together as if there was a gravitational pull attracting them towards each other.

Sorry that this is so short. I have no motivation to write, and this chapter just seemed done, if you know what I mean? I literally had no idea what else to write. Anyway, thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day wherever you are.
