Part 25 

Laxmi Nagar became feverish, hearing the news of Shashi Gupta's Son-in-law is working in GH. Some people came to GH to know what the matter is whereas some of them hid somewhere and watched that what's happening in GH. They dropped their jaw, seeing two AC machines were getting inside GH. Arnav was supervising the work and Aman was busy, bringing all the required things.

AC Mechanic: Sir, fixing AC will risk here.

Arnav: But why?

Mechanic: Wiring of the house seems very old. It won't stand if you put AC and definitely will not for two AC machine.

Arnav: What should be done?

Mechanic: Wiring should be changed, sir.

Arnav: Do it fast. Bring how many electricians you want but finish the work today itself.

Mechanic: Yes sir.

Aman sat on Shashi's bed while hearing their talk. He jumped from the bed as it was shaking. Arnav looked at him and he checked it by shaking.

Aman: Shall I order a cot?

Arnav: Any doubt?

Aman: No.

Arnav: Order a full set.

Aman: Yup.

Aman dialled a number and a new king size bed arrived within an hour.

Mechanic: Sir, it seems, rats are here...

Arnav (shockingly): Rats?

Mechanic: Yes sir...

Arnav: Aman, do pesticide also.

Aman: Yup...

Arnav went to Khushi's room and ran his eyes. He laid on her bed relaxingly. He inhaled the smell of the pillow which remembered him Khushi. He smiled running his palm on her pillow. He sat on the bed, hearing cough sound. Of course, he is Aman who is standing with a teasing smile.

Aman: I have sent the workers for lunch and ordered something for us too. Dhadi would have sent lunch for Guptas from RM.

Arnav: Mmm...

Aman (controlling his smile): ASR... I think we should order another KING SIZE bed.

Arnav knew he is pulling his leg.

Aman: See, how small Khushi's bed is. You can't sleep in this bed freely. And Khushi will also have to sleep in the same bed. It won't be sufficient for you two. What say?

Arnav: Get out...

Aman (raising his eyebrows): yes your honour.

He went outside controlling his laugh.

Arnav also thought of changing the bed when he saw it for the first time. But he wants to see what his wife is going to do because he didn't find any EXTRA coach in her room to sleep. How could he miss the fun?

He saw Aman coming.

Aman: I have a doubt.

Arnav: Shoot.

Aman: Actually, Shashiji's room is bigger than Khushi's room. But you asked the mechanic to fix ONE TON AC in Shashi's room and TWO TON AC in Khushi's room. Why ASR? Because, for Khushi's room, one TON will be sufficient.

Arnav: Because I'm going to stay in Khushi's room. Don't you know, I can't be without AC?

Aman: But what about Khushi? Won't she shiver in extreme cold?

Arnav: she is my wife. Remember?

Aman: Of course ASR...

Arnav: Mind your work.

Aman: Then... do you want me to buy some well-branded blankets?

Arnav: Before I throw something on you... just leave.

Aman (grinning): Yes Boss.

After ten minutes, he came with lunch. They started having together. Arnav was eating silently.

Aman: ASR... Dhruv is missing... again.....

Arnav (not looking at him): Yup... he must be with his friends.

Aman: I think, someone kidnapped him again. What do you think?

Arnav: Maybe or maybe not.

Aman: Don't you want to search for him?

Arnav: of course if needed.

Aman: Don't do it, buddy. I don't want him to come back.

Arnav stopped for a second and continued eating.

Arnav: We can't decide it.

Aman: we can... We can find where he is and we can send him out of the world forever.

Arnav: Do you have any idea, what you are talking about?

Aman: I don't like him asked you to leave Khushi... How dare he.....?

Arnav: But Khushi gave him the answer.

Aman: Do you think, her answer will stop him?

Arnav: What do you want me to do?

Aman: Nothing...

He didn't talk after that. Arnav smiled inwardly.

City Hospital

Shashi was shifted to the room. He was sleeping. Khushi was caressing his hair lovingly, sitting beside him.

Buaji: He always worries about you. he was so guilty about your marriage.

Garima: that's the cause of his heart attack.

She said sadly.

Buaji: Thanks to Nandkishore because of his grace, he is fine.

They saw Arnav coming. He gave GH key back to Garima.

Garima: Is the fan working?

Arnav: Yeah... it's working well.

He didn't say that he changed the new fans too.

Arnav: How is Babuji?

Buaji: Doctor said, we can go home tomorrow.

Arnav: That's great. (pause) I have arranged a physiotherapist for Babuji. He will make him do simple exercises regularly. Soon, he will get a good improvement.

Gupta ladies don't know how to react to it.

Garima: Beta...

Arnav (cutting her): Save all your thanks and deliver it when the right time comes.

He smiled making them chuckle.

He received a call. He excused himself and went outside to talk as it was from Dhadi.

Dhadi: Arnav... Dhruv hasn't come yet.

Arnav: ok. I will take care of it.

Dhadi: Do it fast Arnav.

Arnav: Yup...

Dhadi: How is Shashiji?

Arnav: He is fine and getting discharge tomorrow.

Dhadi: that's fine.

Arnav: I and Khushi will be staying in GH for a few days.

Dhadi: Ok. Let me know if you want me to do.

Arnav: Sure.

He disconnected the call. He received another call. It's none other than NK.

Arnav: Yes NK.

NK: Naanav, I got TOMORROWLAND ticket Box in Dhruv's room.

Arnav: So?

NK: I think, he is enjoying in Belgium.

Arnav: if it is so, why he didn't say Dhadi anything about it?

NK: How would he be? Don't know with whom he went there.

Arnav: Are you sure?

NK: Yes Naanav. He wanted to go to Tomorrow Land. He tried for the tickets for a few years. I think he got it this year. He should have booked it long ago. Because it's very tough to get the tickets as it's highly demanded.

Arnav: Ok. Tell Dhadi that he must be in Belgium. She is nervous.

NK: Sure.

Arnav: And inquire his friend about Tomorrow Land.

NK: Ok...

Arnav disconnected the call with his trademark lopsided smile. Because this is unexpected for Arnav too. As NK said, Dhruv should have bought the tickets long ago. He saw Khushi standing behind him.

Khushi: Is Dhruv missing again?

Arnav: yes.

Khushi: Where did he go?

Arnav: NK said he is in Belgium.

Khushi: What he is doing in Belgium?

Arnav: He should have gone to Tomorrow Land.

Khushi (frowning): Tomorrow Land?

Arnav: It's one of the largest music festivals in the world.

Khushi: Ohh...

Arnav: He likes music...

Khushi(murmuring): Music is a pretext. Don't I know what he likes? Scoundrel...

Arnav: What did you say?

Khushi(changing the topic): What did you do in GH that you take a full day?

Arnav(teasingly): Why? Did you feel sad, not seeing me?

Khushi (sarcastically): Wow... how brilliant...! You got what I feel...

She turned around to leave...

Arnav: Brilliant is not me but you. Because you conveyed what you felt for me indirectly.....

Khushi: I feel pity for you... Dhruv is enjoying in Tomorrow land but you are living in dreamland. Poor you.

Arnav: Wow... my wife is feeling pity for me... Good improvement.

Khushi was looking at him sternly.

Arnav: What?

Khushi: Because of you, I forgot to tell you, what I wanted to. Won't you let me tell you anything?

Arnav: Waiting...

Khushi: Ohhh... Thank you.

Arnav (teasingly): Why Madam?

Khushi: For all the help you had done for us.

Arnav(raising his brows): US? Mind you tell me, what that "US" stands for?

Khushi: Guptas...

Arnav: That means, it should be THEM, not the US. Because you are not Gupta but Raizada. Mrs Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada. Remember?

Khushi: We are married, doesn't mean I should accept your sir name.

Arnav: Then why are you maintaining the Mangal Sutra and Vermillion all the time?

Khushi's hand automatically touched her Mangal sutra.

Arnav: If you are not at all interested in this marriage, you can remove it. You can wear, when you accept me as your husband.

Khushi got stuck. She never thought of removing her Mangal sutra. Never...

Arnav: Come on, remove it Khushi. I will console everyone. You don't have to worry about it.

Khushi became horrified. She gulped.

Arnav: Ok. I can help you. if you feel anything sentimental, I will remove it. Come...

He took a step and raised his hand towards her neck. Khushi pushed him, Shouting "NOOOO" and ran away from him. Arnav got hit on the pillar and composed himself all smiling. She is not showing interest in him, doesn't mean she is not interested in him and he knew it.

Three Men Army

Shashi Gupta got discharged from the hospital. Arnav brought Guptas to GH along with Khushi. He stopped the car and helped them to make Shashi sit on the wheelchair. Khushi opened the door and got stuck, seeing Shashi's old cot being kept in the living room, dismantled.

Arnav kept it in the living room as he didn't know what he has to do. Guptas may have sentiments with the cot. So he didn't feel to take it out of GH, without their permission.
