Elena woke up excited, she felt giggly and filled with happy emotions and vibes. Who wouldn't wake up like this after the previous night and finding gold?

"Morning Papi." Elena hugged her father who was seating down having breakfast. "How did you sleep?" Ernesto Herrera looked back at his daughter and smiled in her direction.

"I slept amazing, I have been amazing." Elena hugged him again for a moment. "Is everything okay? I love hugs, but what am I missing here?"

"Oh, nothing, just I have a feeling our lives are gonna change." Elena said as she walked over to the kitchen, grabbing a bowl and make herself breakfast. "Where's Melissa? Her room is empty." She didn't even hear her sister leave the room and usually, Melissa was a very loud person, and she saw her last night when she came home.

"She left an hour ago, Wheezie invited her over. You two girls are having so much fun with your new friends, that's very nice, I am happy for you two girls." Elena smiled to herself when she heard her father's words. "I have a job interview next week, your uncle Aaron is coming to visit us, especially mom." Uncle Aaron is Veronica's adoptive brother, Elena last heard about him about three years ago and that was all, but she missed him, he was always there for the Herrera's and he always managed to make the girls laugh.

"Well, it will be nice to have another familiar face around the house, right?" Elena asked as she kept on doing her stuff. "Dad?" She called for him "You don't miss us a lot whenever we are gone? I mean whenever Mel and I leave? I know you do miss us, it's a stupid question but I am just wondering?"

"Let me stop you right there Elena," Ernesto stood up and walked over to his daughter "It's not a stupid question, of course, I miss you two girls but I prefer if you two had fun, made friends, instead of worrying about me and your mom, we are going to be okay, and if I ever need something from my princesas, I'll let you know." Elena smiled, feeling her father's lips pressing over her hair.

"So it's not much to ask if I can go out today? Also, I might have a date tonight, with Kelce." Elena squinted her eyes, hoping her father would say no to the date.

"Of course! Like I said, go and have fun, you take care, and is Kelce picking you up? I gotta give him the father talk." Elena laughed at his comment and stopped when she noticed her father didn't tag along.

"Wait, you're being actually serious about it?" Ernesto Herrera nodded his head in response "Dad you don't have to, Kelce is just a guy who's hanging out with me, I don't like him and I don't see him in any way other than an acquaintance."

"Yeah I guess you're right, I better have the famous talk with JJ Maybank right?"

"JJ? Why JJ?" Elena cleared her throat trying to keep her nerves out of herself, before her father could speak the door of their home opened. "Speak of the devil."

"Morning Mr. Herrera." JJ walked overstretching his hand at Ernesto "Morning El." Hugging her tightly the blonde looked at the father with a smile. "Is it okay to ask Elena for a few hours? She'll be home before sunset, as always."

JJ Maybank had walked into their home more times than Elena could count, something her father agreed on after the incident Veronica had. JJ could come into their home without knocking, he was already considered family by the father figure in the house.

"You can take her of course, just you two be careful, don't do anything stupid or dangerous." Ernesto kept his eyes on JJ seeing how he had his arm around his daughter's shoulder.

JJ smiled looking down at Elena and thanked her father before pulling her outside and handing her his helmet, Elena hopped up on the motorbike, wrapping her arms around JJ and waving her father goodbye. The two of them reached Kie's place, John B's van was already there with the rest of the pogues.

"What's happening?" Elena asked taking off the helmet and seeing the rest of the group talking and looking all serious.

"We are going to become rich today." JJ smiled pulling out of his backpack the blocks of gold. "Kie! This better work." JJ said out loud as he walked over to the van where Sarah and Kiara sat "We can't pawn this if there's a giant wheat symbol on it."

"Wait, what are you guys planning on doing?" Elena looked at the three teenagers who smiled mischievously, Kiara pulled out a huge lighter saying it was gonna work. The blocks of gold were inside a cooking pot, getting the heat from the lighter, it slowly began to dissolve.

"I think this looks good enough." John B joined the gang after minutes of heating the gold. "Let's go to the pawnshop." The pogues cheered on and made their way to the vehicle, during their car ride excited could be seen in each of their faces, if this gold was accepted they didn't know how much money they would be getting, but it was indeed going to be lots of cash.

"Are we sure this is gonna work? I don't mean to sound pessimistic or anything like that, but this looks weird?" Elena grabbed the blocks of melted gold, it didn't look too realistic to be pawned but it was the only way to get rid of the wheat symbol.

"Hell of a job melting it down, Dr. Frankenstein." JJ grabbed the gold from Elena's hands and kept it on a piece of cloth.

"Like you could've done better." Kie answered as she was the one who did the melting gold part. The bickering kept ongoing between them when they all got off the van, and if wasn't for John B stepping in between the bickering would've become an ego battle.

"Easy for you to say, you're not the one that has to pawn this piece of shit off." JJ complained showing off the melted gold. "How did I get this job anyway?"

"Because you're the best liar." Pope answered his question sarcastically but he wasn't wrong, from the group JJ was best at lying.

"Come on grumpy, you'll do amazing." Elena smiled nudging into him, following behind as the group got inside the pawnshop.

"Afternoon ma'am." JJ greeted, the rest followed along and distributed their positions, looking around the little curious items being sold. "I see you buy gold." Elena wanted to chuckle at the accent JJ was going for but she instead hid her face behind Kiara who shushed her, a whispering laugh leaving her lips.

"Well, I sure hope you buy a lot of it because I'm about to blow your mind." The cashier joked along saying she didn't have a mind led to blowing.

"How about these gold apples?" JJ pulled out the melted gold and placing it on the counter, the rest of the pogues looked at the gold with a smile on their faces, hoping that their idea can work out. But the woman chuckled at him.

"That ain't real." Maybe this was a terrible plan, Elena couldn't blame her for not believing a word they said, it was melted gold at the end of the day, it didn't look real.

She then kept on saying how it couldn't be real, then JJ told her to weigh it out. She did as told, trying to pick up the gold from the counter, but she had difficulties doing so but she managed to have it on her hands and trying to see it, a magnifier with light was on her hands as she took a better look of it with it.

"Spray-painted tungsten." That was the only explanation she could give but it was a terrible supposition to make, Elena's attention drifted away from JJ and the stubborn lady, she walked to the aisles where belongings were left behind, her fingers traced a silk ribbon and a small golden jewelry box, she smiled down at the things in the pawnshop, little things that were left behind were filled with memories and stories, she felt intrigued by it all.

"This plan is terrible." Pope's whispers got Elena coming back to the counter, the lady had gone somewhere else and the Pogues waited for her.

"How's it going?" Elena looked up at JJ while she asked, her chin resting on his shoulder for a moment before pulling back and clearing her throat, knowing that if someone had seen what she did questions would be asked.

"I like to say it's going fantastic, princess." JJ whispered at her glancing behind her and smiling "What Pope?" Elena backed away seeing Pope taking her place.

"I see what you're doing El." Kiara said, her hand on a city map, her eyes glancing over at the brunette.

"I don't know what you mean." Elena tried her best to sound the most lost looking at Kiara with a confused expression.

"Please, drop the act Elena, you like JJ don't you?" Kiara nudges her arm, her cheeky smile appearing on her lips.

"Hey, I'm sorry if I'm overstepping there, I mean you and JJ," Kiara interrupted her with a shush making Elena press her lips together.

"There's no JJ and me, he's my friend and will always be my friend, I don't think something will happen ever, not interested in that area you know." Kiara said crossing her arms against her shoulder.

"You mean you got your eyes on someone else?" Kiara nodded her head in response "On Pope?" Now it was a shaking head that gave her the answer. "Oh, someone who's from Figure Eight?" Kiara didn't answer but looked away, her eyes on the counter behind them.

"So I talked to my boss." The lady walked out speaking up making everyone turn to look at her. She left money on the counter, money that didn't make justice to the amount of gold.

"You think I walked in here not knowin' the spot price? Ma'am, I know for a fact this is worth 140, at least." JJ tried his best to make it reasonable and make sense with the lady.

Between JJ and the lady they finally agreed seventy thousand cash, everyone tried their best to hide their smiles and chuckles, to make it not so easy on them, the money JJ had asked for they didn't have in the store but in a warehouse, it meant this could be another adventure if anything exciting happens, as Pogues they accepted it, asking for the address and taking the road to pick up the money. The road towards the new address started to look suspicious, the houses were ever further apart from each other, the people seemed to vanish, it even seemed unsafe.

"So they keep money out here?" Pope asked looking out the car window, Elena was questioning things just like Pope, she was gonna stay in the car, or at least that is what looked like a safer option.

"That's was she said." JJ answered looking at the window too but glancing towards Pope a smirk on his face "That's what she said." Like a child repeating it at the joke, he picked up from his sentence. Pope shut him up trying his best to not laugh with him.

"I've never even heard of Resurrection Drive." Sarah Cameron said from the shotgun side of the van, looking back at everyone, JJ said it had to do cause she was rich, but not even any of the Pogues recognized the name, and Elena, well she was even more clueless than any of them.

Elena's attention was outside too, she looked at every single tree and how every minute another tree was added, a full woods in front of her eyes, Elena was ignoring the conversation that was happening behind her, then she heard the siren whoop, her eyes darted to the back window of the van seeing the vehicle turning their lights on.

"John B we should park, we don't want to get in trouble." Elena looked over at him, she was sitting behind Sarah Cameron's seat so it was easier for them to look at each other. John B nodded his head and stopped the vehicle, the rest of the Pogues began to freak out except for Kiara, who seemed to be the calmest of the group.

"Did you bring the gun?" John B was asking this to JJ, he was the one who was making more chaos in trying to hide things in his bag, JJ said he didn't bring the gun with him, but knowing him they could never be too sure about it.

"Guys, guys." Elena said trying to catch everyone's attention, she could see the man walking past the car looking inside, no one listened to her, they were all focused on JJ trying to hide the weed.

The loud sound of a gun was heard besides John B's window, they all turned to look at him, Elena could feel her heart picking up its pace and her breathing trembling, she leaned back towards the door, her hand gripping on Pope's clothing since he was just in front of her. He wasn't a cop, cops don't wear a mask over their mouths, they just don't.

"Why don't I go ahead and see them hands in the air right now?" The man said pushing his gun closer to John B's face, Pope sat back in his spot leaving Elena helpless, she wanted to call someone's name but she was too scared to even whisper. The man screamed at them to put their hands in the air, and since everyone was too scared they did as told, ordering John B to get out.

"Guys, do something please." Elena whispered, looking at JJ and Pope, she knew her eyes were tearing up, JJ nodded his head at her, his hand holding hers giving her a gentle grip, and looked back at John B and the gunman.

The man with the gun still pointed at him shouted out to let the other ones out of the car, John B slowly headed over opening the door, his eyes still on the man not wanting to make a wrong move. The gun was not directed towards them as they came out of the van, Elena followed behind Sarah Cameron, Kiara stood behind her followed by Pope and JJ who screamed back at him to chill or to relax, Elena took a step forward but retracted when the gunman started screaming at them to get down on the ground, kneeling and putting their hands behind their head.

Elena couldn't understand how everyone was too quiet or so calm while she was holding her whimpers and cries, she was too scared that she could feel her whole body shaking in terror. Kiara was brave enough to speak up saying this was a setup, JJ said that it was the old lady who made this happen. Elena saw from the corner of her eye John B standing up from the ground, she shook her head and called him out, Sarah Cameron was doing the same thing and Pope told him to not be a hero, but John B just shushed them and walked back towards the other car while the gunman kept on moving things inside the van.

"Just stay like that unless you want your brains blown out all over this road, don't move your goddamn head, okay?" The gunman screamed out not noticing there was a missing person, how dumb of him to not count the people, Elena thought, but also fear was taking over her when she saw that John B had gotten inside his car and might be in trouble.

The pogues were looking at the vehicle and in seconds there was a movement happening, the first one to stand up and make a run was JJ to help his friend out, throwing a punch at his side but getting one in return to his face falling, Kiara there him a punch to his nose and was pushed back to and when the gunman wanted to go for Sarah Cameron, John B hit him in the back with the shotgun falling to the ground.

"I got the gold." Pope screamed out grabbing the cloth, Elena hurried towards JJ and helped him up before doing the same with Kiara, the gunman was getting kicked and hit the car door, Kiara and Elena both kicked him on his ribs pushing him against the car.

When he was down and breathless John B pulled down his mask, everyone finally seeing his face, but JJ knew him already, he recognized him, Sarah added that even her brother Rafe might've known him.

"Listen, I couldn't hurt any single of y'all," The gunman was interrupted by JJ's punching him n the throat with his shotgun, the rest pushed him back and called him out trying to calm him down, JJ pushed them aside and searched in his clothing pulling out a wallet and just grabbing his I.D and walking away.

"Let's go see where this son of a bitch lives." JJ's angry tone made it clear that he was up to something stupid, Elena jogged behind him calling his name trying to make him stop but it was useless, he was so angry.

They all got in the van seeing JJ drive towards the address, Elena sat behind the driver's seat, tapping her knees, she wanted to sit beside JJ but she didn't want to at the same time, anything could happen, when they came to a stop it was only JJ who walked out of the car and walked over to Barry's house, they knew the gunman's name thanks to the I.D JJ stole.

"Where are you going?" John B asked annoyed, looking at his friend making a stupid decision.

"Yo soy justicia, isn't that Elena?" JJ shouted out, he was justice, that is what it meant, Elena shook her head and got out of the car.

"What are you gonna do El?" Kiara asked but she was ignored, Elena followed behind JJ trying to see what he would do and if she could stop him.

"JJ, don't do anything stupid, you don't know in what trouble you're getting into." Elena said as she watched JJ making a mess on Barry's kitchen, pulling and throwing stuff around. "JJ, stop, I don't know what you're looking for but it will be useless."

"I know you got a stash around here somewhere." JJ spoke as if he were alone, making the brunette feel anger building up inside her even more, one thing that Elena hated the most was being ignored and that is exactly what JJ was doing to her.

"Can you stop being stupid and get back in the van, we gotta go." The teenager hugged her arms looking around and feeling unsafe, she was angry and scared a terrible mix for her, she knew she could snap and just throw something at JJ if he kept on ignoring her, and as if the world was hearing her, John B walked in surprised at the view.

"So what's your plan slick?" John B questioned looking at JJ moving other things around. "Is he okay?" Now the whispered question was at Elena who shook her head at him.

"Well, as thou hat stealeth from us, we shall stealeth from ye." JJ looked back at John B, not looking at Elena for even a second even when his attention returned to the house.

"Great, I'm invisible, finally my superpower dream came true." Elena sighed and looked down at her shoes.

"That kind of got lost in translation." John B looked at the brunette confused and walked behind her to make sure he could get in his way if it was necessary.

"An eye for an eye." Both JJ and Elena said in unison and just for a split second she could feel the butterflies on her stomach fluttering around, JJ walked past her, ignoring her again and Elena went back to her downside.

"Yeah, that's great, JJ, but what happens after you rob a drug dealer, huh? He knows who we are." John B exclaimed getting into JJ's face, even though he scoffed, smirking at him.

"I'm not scared of this guy." JJ pushed him away and made his way towards a room, John B sighed and looked at his friend for a moment before glancing at Elena.

"Can you make him get into his senses, he's completely ignoring me." Elena leaned back on the kitchen counter, she saw John B waiting outside the room as well.

"He's ignoring me too, I thought he would listen to you instead, he listens to you all the time." John B answered back at her, Elena tilted her head confused. "He does listen to you Elena, it surprises me, and we need to talk."

"About what? What do you we need to talk about?" Elena straightened her posture leaning forward.

"You know what about El, you two aren't good at hiding stuff." John B and Elena were interrupted by JJ's voice "What are you doing?" JJ answered him saying he was getting even. John B's facial expression was widened, there was fear on him just like Elena.

"What do you think he meant by that?" Elena looked at him thinking of what he could've meant about it, John B shrugged shaking his head until JJ walked out of the room with a bag in his hands.

"Hey, look at me. If you keep going down this road, you're gonna end up just like your dad." John B grabbed JJ by his arms and pulled him closer to him, but when he mentioned JJ's father that was the cherry on top, it made JJ's anger finally show out, grabbing John B from his t-shirt collar, this made Elena walk up to them.

"You watch your mouth, man." JJ said looking at John B, his friend knew he stepped a line. "Aren't you tired of being messed with?" He asked him, John B told him that wasn't the point.

"JJ, let go of him." Elena pulled JJ back by his arm and with her other hand, she tried to push him from his chest, JJ freed John B from his grip after saying he was tired, JJ grabbed Elena's hands and pushed them away from his body, he looked down at her face just for a moment since he saw the sad and scared look on her eyes, John B followed behind groaning at the stupid decision JJ had just made.

"Well, that was fun." Elena said to herself taking a last glance inside the house, seeing all the mess that JJ had left behind, clearly, this will get Barry's attention.

"So that's what we're doing now? We're robbing drug dealers?" Elena walked out and heard Kie's voice. Another bickering started between the Pogues, turning against JJ and his stupid decisions, Elena stayed behind crossing her arms against her chest and looking away from them, her eyes on the street trying to see if any car was coming their way and if they had to make a run for it.

John B and JJ got into each other's faces again, JJ grabbing him by the collar and slamming him against the car, Pope was ready to separate them when he took a step close to them but it wasn't necessary, JJ freed him again took the bag out of his hand to got into the van, he asked if anyone else was going to join him but no one dared to move, JJ's patient ran low and got out of the car.

"We're tired of your shit?" John B was the only one to would talk back at JJ, of course, he would, he was his best friend, but maybe after this, things would be different. Kiara also talked about how tired she was mentioning the gun, Pope then joined in but JJ stopped him shouting out he took the fall for him and he had to pay back so much money.

"I'll pay it back to you, and you didn't have to take the fall for it." Pope said back to him but JJ interrupted again.

"I just did pay it back, right here, right now, by myself." Elena knew he meant about whatever he had on his bag. "You know what? That's exactly what I'm gonna do, go off by myself." JJ zipped the bag and pull it over his shoulders as he walked away from the Pogues. Pope wanted to follow him but John B stopped him, Elena saw them all and sighed, she headed over to the van and grabbed her stuff.

"What are you doing El?" John B asked her leaning against the door. "Don't go after him, he needs that time alone."

"He's responsible for me, he has to drop me home." Elena said putting her bag on her shoulder.

"You don't even know if he's going home, he could be going off somewhere else, we are gonna drop you home." Kiara said grabbing her hand trying to make Elena stay.

"I'm going with him, we are mad at him, yes, but he needs a friend." Elena's eyes looked at John B when she said it, she could see his face look down, he knew that she was right. "I'm gonna be fine." Elena gave her most convincing smile and walked away, she could hear the group telling her to be careful.

"JJ wait up." Elena picked up her pace running towards him. "You can't get rid of me you know." She chuckled, breathing in heavily, he didn't answer her or say anything which made Elena roll her eyes. "What's the problem JJ? Why am I getting the silent treatment?"

"Are you going to shout at me too or get into my head and point out that I made stupid mistakes too? I know what I am doing Elena, I don't need a babysitter." JJ spoke, he didn't look at her, his eyes at the front looking where he was going to.

"I'm not gonna tell you anything JJ, not right now, you heard enough, and I am not here to babysit, I need my ride home, you promised my dad you would drop me before sunset, so we gotta go before the sun hides." Elena tried her best to show her brightest smile, she wanted JJ to feel a bit more relaxed about things and forget what just happened.

Their walk back home was long and safe, a few talks were shared between them, JJ mentioned a few memories when the Herreras first moved in, how JJ's rooster ran loose and got into the Herrera's home and made a mess around the place when JJ, Elena, and Melissa tried to catch it, it was successful but the mess was created behind them, there were laughter shares too in their walk while they returned home, Elena couldn't help it but she had to ask.

"JJ, I know it might be annoying or overstepping, I am just curious about it," Elena stopped in her tracks and saw JJ standing in front of her "What are you planning to do with the money?"

"I am gonna pay for my mistakes, I gotta do things right princess, don't you worry about it, come on, let's go, sun's gonna hide in a while." JJ started to walk again followed by Elena. Paying for his mistakes, the brunette was confused about it, but she didn't want to make more questions about it, she didn't want to ruin the mood they had made during their walk.

Home, there it was for Elena, she didn't want to walk in, she didn't want to go and get ready for a date with a guy she was hating so much, and JJ had no idea about it, maybe she could call Kelce and say she was sick and just stay with JJ or stay at home doing nothing, but she had kept her word too.

"Go on Princess, I'll see you later." JJ whispered down at her, they were both standing outside on the steps, JJ hugged her over her shoulders before walking towards his home, Elena turned her heel, she was gonna call out for JJ but the sound of the door opening stopped her.

"Thank god you came back, I need your help before you go to your date." Melissa Herrera had on her hand a hair curler and on the other her phone. "Come on, you got a date to get ready for, move it or lose it sister." Elena sighed and got into her home, she had to get ready, she had to.
