EPILOGUE
"Oh my god Allie, thank god you called I was going crazy." Caleb was sounding scared.
Allie rolled her eyes knowing he was about to ramble his heart to heart problems.
"Say it, Cal, say it." she chuckled softly.
Caleb furrowed his brows but then ignored and started,
"You know, I met this girl in the company I'm working in and I really like her. I mean she came to me first to talk and then we became friends, you know how that happens, right? I mean first small talks, then chatting and then slowly you start to develop some feelings.... So as I was saying, I started talking to her and we hung out together and it was really cool and now we have become good friends and I don't know what to do." He rambled.
"Caleb, take a deep breath and tell me the real problem here."
"I like her but I don't know if she likes me or not. I don't know what to do."
"Does she make you happy? Do you really like 'like' her?" Allie was smiling ear to ear; finally her best friend was making progress.
He had told her about this Christine girl who he apparently had a big crush on but could never approach her. She even came to Caleb's dorm many times and once she answered his phone as well.
Allie remembered she sounded so jealous and rude when she caught another girl more specifically Allie calling Caleb.
Caleb always talked about Allie which disturbed Christine to some point.
"Okay, Caleb, listen to me and tell her your feelings, she would never reject you." Allie said.
"What? No. Are you stupid? What if she says no? It's crazy. I'm going crazy." He tugged at his hair.
"Caleb, calm down and just follow your heart. I trust you. You'll be fine, I promise."
"You do?" Caleb's hopeful voice came and Allie gave him encouragement.
At the same time, door opened and Christine entered. A big smile was stitched on her face when she saw Caleb. He too smiled widely at her.
"Caleb, are you coming here today? Nathan was asking me, he is planning some barbeque in the evening." Allie asked.
"Ok. I'll be there."
"Bring your girl too. It would be fun knowing her." Allie said.
"Okay. Bye. I love you. Take care." Caleb smiled.
"Love you too. See ya." Allie chuckled and hung up.
Caleb turned towards Christine, "Hey."
Her smile was a bit faltered but she tried not to show it.
"Whom were you talking to?" she asked.
"Allie." Caleb beamed happily and Christine's smile turned into frown.
"What happened?" Caleb went to her but she shook her head.
"Something happened, tell Me." he sat in front of her.
"Who is she to you?" she asked, her voice laced with anger, jealousy and a fear. Fear of losing him.
Caleb's eyes went wide sensing the jealousy.
"She is my best friend. Let's go." He cut her off and pulled her in standing position.
"Caleb, what are you doing?" she screeched.
"We are going to see Allie." He took car keys and dragged her outside.
"What? No. I don't want to see her." Christine yelled but it seemed like he decided to ignore it. Soon they were on road.
Christine ignored Caleb for the whole ride. She was going crazy thinking maybe Caleb liked his best friend more than her and maybe she had to witness their love for each other. Yes, he said he loves her. Oh! It was all frustrating for her. She huffed and looked outside.
Caleb knew Allie would do everything fine. One meeting wasn't going to hurt him.
After two hours of journey they reached Allie's place. Christine was reluctant to go but Caleb again dragged her. He rang the bell and soon Allie opened the door. Her eyes went wide seeing him there. They both literally jumped into each other's arms hugging tightly.
Christine took a step back as her heart ached seeing it. Allie pulled away and looked at Christine. Her eyes went wide and a big smiled grace her lips,
"Is that her?"
Caleb grinned, "The one and only."
"Oh, it's nice to meet you." Allie hugged her tightly. Christine was awkward but hugged her anyway.
"Come in." she pulled both of them inside but Christine opposed.
"I think I should go. I don't want to be the third wheel." She mumbled and pulled back.
"What?" Allie's eyes went wide and she laughed,
"Oh come on. Don't be dramatic like him."
Christine was about to oppose when a deep voice came from upstairs,
"Allie, these two monkeys are not taking bath." And soon Nathan came downstairs shirtless along with twins who were situated on both of his shoulders, shirtless as well.
Christine gaped at them and then looked at Allie and Caleb.
Allie shook her head chuckling and went to Nathan.
"Christine, meet my boyfriend, Nathan and my babies, Blake and Chris. And Nathan, that's Christine, Caleb's soon to be girlfriend."
Christine's eyes went wide as everything clicked. Her face went red with embarrassment and she hid her face in her hands. Allie laughed. Caleb went ahead and pulled Christine in his arms.
"I swear there is nothing in between us. She is my best friend and I was asking for her advice to woo you. I really like you and I wasn't sure what would be your reaction. But now seeing that little jealousy, I think I got my answer." Caleb confessed.
"This is gold." Nathan laughed when he realized everything.
"You know what, Caleb?" he went closer to them.
"Hey, Uncle Caleb." Blake gave him a toothy grin. Caleb waved at twins still not leaving his little crush slash girlfriend.
"I'm happy that you finally found your girl so now you will leave my girl alone." Nathan laughed.
Allie smacked his arm and everyone laughed.
"NO promises." Caleb added cheekily.
"You can go seat in backyard. I will send you something to eat." Allie told them. Caleb nodded and walked outside with Christine. Soon they were alone there sitting on chairs.
"So, now, I... I know I didn't tell you before, I should have but I couldn't. I mean like you, I liked you from the start. And I was afraid, you know I can be awkward sometimes but you know I... I..." he rambled again but Christine cut him off pressing her lips on his. When she pulled away, Caleb was grinning widely.
"I should get used to it." and he kissed her again.
"Gross!" a voice startled them and they pulled away to find Blake and Chris standing there with their hands on their hips.
"Hey guys." Caleb laughed and pulled them closer hugging them, "How are my favorite boys doing?"
"Did you bring chocolate?" Chris asked. When Christine gave them chocolates they looked at her in awe.
"What's your name?" Blake asked her.
"Christine." Chris jumped from his seat and went near her grinning widely,
"I'm Christian but you can call me Chris."
She laughed before looking down at him, "We matched. How old are you guys?"
"Five." Blake answered proudly putting his five fingers up.
"You are so cute. I like you." She gushed and hugged both of them making them go all red.
"Blake, Chris! Go take a bath now." Allie's voice came and both of them groaned.
"Go. I want to play with you later." Christine said and that made them run inside the house. Caleb chuckled, "They like you."
"They're adorable."
"So they are Allie and Nathan's...?" Christine trailed off not knowing how to ask about it.
Caleb understood and shook his head smiling,
"Yeah! She was seventeen and we were in high school. It's a complicated story; I will tell you someday that's why I wanted you to meet Allie. You like her right?"
"Of course, she is cool and Nathan? Aren't they getting married or something?"
"NO. They are happy like this but I know Nathan is waiting for a perfect moment. He loves her too much."
"Yeah. I could see that. I'm glad I met them."
"And I'm glad that now you don't doubt my feelings." Caleb smirked.
She blushed dark red and swatted his hand away, "Don't remind me please."
"I'll go help her in kitchen." Christine said and they both walked inside.
Allie really liked her and now they became good friends. Nathan and Caleb did some catching up on their jobs and exams. Soon Asher and Brooke joined too.
"Allie, Nathan!" Brooke yelled from the door and Allie ran outside to meet her sister as they hugged tightly. She greeted Ash as well and then introduced them to newest member of their gang, Christine.
"Uncle Ash..." Twins yelled from upstairs and ran downstairs towards him.
"My boys." Asher yelled back dramatically and ran towards them kneeling down on the ground near staircase to catch them in his arms.
Brooke rolled her eyes muttering, 'Stupid'.
Nathan groaned loudly putting his head in Allie's hair, "Now he is going to teach them something new bizarre thing."
Allie giggled. It was true, every time Ash visited twins, he taught new things to them and they were bad really bad. They would prank on everyone and say something stupid. Nathan remembered last time, he taught them few curse words as well. He closed his eyes remembering all those complaints from other parents.
Twins jumped in their favorite 'Uncle Ash's' arms hugging him tightly. Soon those three were blabbering about something and for caution Nathan and Caleb joined them.
Christine found it all amusing as Brooke and Allie told her about their antics.
Suddenly Brooke went silent and she looked at Allie with wide grin.
"What are you hiding?" Allie matched her expressions waiting for big news.
Brooke held out her hand and surely there was a ring there.
"OH my god." Allie cried out and hugged her.
"I'm so happy, Brooke. Finally! Oh! It will be so much fun and now we have Christine as well. It's going to amazing." She gushed. Brooke nodded hugging her closer. They pulled Christine in between them as well.
Brooke's eyes watered. Their journey was filled with so many difficulties but they found peace. Asher proposed her in a total dramatic way with a personal yacht and an amazing dinner. She told them everything and they couldn't be happy more.
"What about you and Nate?" Brooke asked Allie.
Allie's lips graced in a gentle smile,
"We are happy. I don't want anything else."
"Aww! Allie, I love you." They talked about everything.
They pestered Christine to tell her story as well. It was fun.
Janet and Troy joined too. When Ash and Brooke told them, Janet couldn't help but cry out in joy. Everyone was happy.
Brooke was working in a private company but Ash wanted her to join him after he take over family business. Yeah, Ash and Nate joined their family business. Nate joined after his high school to support his family. Even Allie was working from home. Ash took his time and now was ready to join them as well after postgraduation.
Caleb was taking an architectural degree classes and joined a company as an intern. Everyone was happy with the way life turned out to be.
"Daddy!" Blake ran inside and looked at Nathan with a curiosity in his eyes.
"What happened?" Nate kneeled in front of him.
"How do you make babies?"
Nathan's eyes went wide as he glared at Asher who looked amused.
"Tell him, Nate, how it is done?" Ash grinned.
Without thinking anything, Nathan stood up and lunged at Ash,
"I will fuck you up so bad, Ash, I swear, if you spoil their innocent minds" He landed a punch in Ash's stomach. It wasn't hard but enough to make Ash feel little pain.
"That's what uncle Ash said. Fuck up or something like that." Chris stated.
Allie ran to him and covered his mouth, "That's a bad word, Chris." She scolded him and glared at senior Bolton twins.
Both twins looked wide eyed at Ash who was smiling smugly.
"Trust me, when you will have a baby, I'm going to spoil him or her so bad that you would wish to make it all reverse." Nathan threatened him and pulled away. Ash just laughed out loud but little did he know that it was going to come true.
AFTER FIVE YEARS
"So Izzy, who is your favorite, dad or Uncle Nate?" Nathan asked Isabella, Ash and Brooke's three year old daughter.
She smiled widely wrapping her hands around Nathan's neck, "You." She giggled.
Nathan smiled pulling her closer and shot a smug look to Ash who was sulking beside them.
She was always Daddy's princess until Nathan came home. He always did something which made her took his side.
"But I thought you love me." Ash whined. Age didn't matter when it came to their babies.
Isabella looked at her father and his sad face and jumped towards him wrapping her small hands around his neck, "I love you too, daddy." She mumbled.
Ash grinned at Nathan but he just rolled his eyes knowing what was coming ahead.
Isabella pulled away and puckered her lips, "But I love Uncle Nate more."
Nathan burst into loud laughter and pulled her towards him, tickling her. She giggled loudly squirming under his hold.
"Dad, where is Izzy?" Blake came inside with an ice cream bowl. Isabella ran towards him as he directed her towards garden.
"What do you do to her?" Ash frowned.
"Oh! Don't be sad, she likes me more."
"I hate you."
"Yeah I know." Nathan chuckled and walked towards kitchen to find his wife.
"But mom, I want that video game. It's so cool. Please, can you talk to dad?" his younger son, Chris was buttering his mother for some video game.
"Well, you can talk to him if it's so cool." Allie smiled and kissed his head and resumed her work.
"Why don't you go to Ash?" Brooke piped in and Chris' face broke into a wide smile.
"I didn't think of it." he was about to walk out but saw Nathan leaning on the door, his arms crossed over his chest.
"SO..."
"Umm... dad... I need to go." And he ran out of the room.
"He is actually scared of you." Brooke laughed loudly.
Nathan just shrugged and hugged Allie from behind.
"Brooke, wanna share the news?" Nathan smirked at her and Brooke's eyes went wide,
"How do you know?"
"Oh! I have my little bird in your house you know."
"OH! Izzy!" she groaned, "I was supposed to tell you this tonight at dinner."
"Tell me tell me." Allie was excited.
"I'm pregnant." Brooke stated and Allie gasped.
"Oh my goodness." She ran to Brooke and hugged her. I'm so happy. Isabella must be ecstatic."
"She is." Brooke's eyes welded with tears but she controlled it.
Allie tightened her grip,
"We came such a long way, Al. I can't believe it. Everything that happened, we survived it. When I realized that I'm pregnant for the first time, all I could think was you and your pregnancy. It was so hard for all of us. Those five months were unbearable." She sniffled. Allie didn't leave her as her own tears fell, "I was so scared that you won't forgive me but then you did. I didn't deserve it, but you did. Now I'm so happy for you, for us." she sobbed a little but then warm hands pulled her into a hard chest.
"Why are you thinking about it now, Babe?" Ash asked softly.
Nathan embraced Allie as well.
"I wanted to tell her. You know I always thought that she was weak. But she never was. She is stronger than anyone I ever know." Brooke stated and a small muffled sob left Allie's mouth.
"Shh... don't cry. It's over. It has been ten years so why are you bringing it all up now?" Nathan couldn't see his Allie crying.
"I don't know. Just hormonal." Brooke sniffled.
Nathan smiled softly and took Allie back to his room but he stopped near door and turned towards them,
"Well, Brooke, trust me, right now she is as hormonal as you are." He grinned.
Brooke's eyes went wide.
"We'll see you later. Go take some rest." Nathan said and lifted Allie bridal side, taking her back to their room.
Brooke grinned, "This is so unbelievable."
"Trust me, I know." Ash mumbled in her hair savoring the moment.
