CHAPTER XV

BROOKE'S P.O.V

When ride was over we came to our previous place.

"Where is Allie?" Nathan's eyebrows were furrowed.

"Don't know. She was here." I looked around for Allie. Then I saw her near a shop staring at the ground like she was in deep thought. I went to her and put my hand on her shoulder. She literally jumped and looked terrified.

"Allie, you okay?" I asked and she nodded. But she looked pale like she saw some ghost.

"What happened?"

"N... Nothing..." she brushed my question.

"Are you sure?"

And she nodded again. I knew something was wrong but I didn't push her. Nathan came followed by everyone,
"Where were you? You okay?' he asked and Allie gave him a small smile while nodding her head.

"Great. Let's go for another ride and this time no excuse." Roy told Allie. We all went to another game. It was freaking basketball and prize was stuffed animals. Cliché! I know.

"Oh! Do you remember Nathan when you gave me a kitten last time we were here?" that screechy voice came from behind us and Asher and Derek groaned not even trying to hide their annoyance. We turned to Hailey who was smiling sweetly at him.

"Please do it again. I want another one." She said giving him puppy eyes.

"Me too. I want that cute puppy. Please Asher?" Lacey said.

Yeah! Off course he would give you a dog because you are his favorite bitch!

Asher chuckled beside me and Nathan burst into laughter.

"Did I say it aloud?" I asked wide eyed and Allie gave a nod while trying to hide her smile.

"You who..."

"Don't even dare, Lacey." Roy threatened and she closed and opened her mouth like a fish.

"You are my brother! How could you?" she yelled at him.

Brother? That was new. I looked at Allie who looked confused too.

"I don't care. So leave us." He turned towards shop and took the ball.

"What do you want Brooke?" he asked me and I clapped my hands smiling gleefully.

"That squirrel." I told him and everyone chuckled. Foot stomping was heard as Lacey and Gina left.

"Nate, come on for the sake of old days!" the queenbee said smiling evilly. Nathan sighed as he looked at Allie. She shrugged.

"Is it okay?" he asked her and she nodded. Nathan kissed her forehead and walked to take another ball.

"I'll play for you Allie." Asher jumped ahead and walked to Allie linking arms with her. She giggled and nodded. It didn't take lot of efforts for Nathan and Roy to win while Ash was struggling. After few attempts the owner told him that he can't do it. He pouted and looked at Allie sadly.

She gave out a small laugh and linked their hands,
"It's okay. We'll find something else which you are good at." She told him.

Asher nodded like a 5 year old child.

"I'm hungry." I declared and walked towards food stalls. Soon we all piled up in front of a pizza and burger stall and ordered. Suddenly Ash and Allie started talking like they knew each other from so long. Nathan and I shared a look followed by a shrug and we fell into a normal conversation.

"Let's play 20 questions." I said to him and he raised his brow.

"Its 21 right?"

"Does it matter?" I gave him a 'duh!' look.

"Shoot!" he rubbed his hand and then pushed a big slice into his mouth.

"Are you serious about my sister?"

He looked me in the eye and gave a serious nod, "More than anything. She is too good for me but I feel happy around her."

"So you won't hurt her ever?"

"Never! You realize that you used two questions at one? And I really thought that you would start with favorite color type questions."

I chuckled, "It's cool. Your turn."

"Why were you angry at Asher?"
I chocked on my drink as I looked at him.

"I'm not going to tell him, don't worry." He said and I nodded.

"I... I think I like your brother but he is a manwhore."

"Oh! I knew it was something like that. Ash is an asshole, I know but he likes you just that he doesn't know it yet."

"Let's hope it won't be too late." I shrugged and he patted my back.
"You changed the pairs?" Roy asked us with amusement containing in his voice. We looked at each other confused.
"What?" Ash asked and he just shook his head.

After lunch we had lot of fun. Soon, it was evening and we came home.

Friday came sooner than expected. School was as usual boring. Asher suddenly started taking interest in me but I knew he was just playing. Hunter and Caleb had little issues because there movie night was interrupted by popular crowd. I and Allie even tried to apologize but they shrugged it off saying it wasn't the matter. It was 5 in the evening and we met outside movie place.

"So what are we watching?" Ash asked.

"No chick flick." Drake said and everyone agreed except girls.

Yeah, excluding me and Allie there were 5 more girls who were either from cheerleading pack or someone's girlfriend. But Martina, a cute brunet was trying her best to talk to Caleb who looked little uncomfortable. Hunter was enjoying his misery as he came with his ex.

"No horror." Girls said in Unisom which resulted in groan from boys.

"Why are all girls so cowards?" Roy teased and all glared at him but he just laughed it off.

"We are total 16 people why don't we take a vote?" Dan suggested and everyone nodded.

But before anyone could put their opinion in front of us, Allie interrupted,

"Action comedy? It always has little romance in it."

Everyone looked at each other.

"I'm okay with it." Nathan said smiling widely at his girlfriend with a hint of adoration in his eyes.

"Of course you would like it." Ash rolled his eyes, "But I like the idea."

"Me too..." "Me too..." everyone agreed. Soon we were sitting in movie hall with popcorns and drinks. Movie was fun but most of the times all the couples were busy in taking advantage of the dark room. Allie and Nathan were one of them which disgusted me a little.

"Will you stop that?" I asked irritated. Nathan pulled away from her and glared at me.

"What is your problem? Your boy is sitting beside you. You can have fun too." he said and heat spread to my cheeks.

"I don't mind, babe." Ash said and I just scowled at him.

"Just kidding, Brooke." He laughed it out and resumed his movie watching.

Movie was good but it could have been better if Asher would have kept his hands to himself. No! It's not what you think; it's just that whenever some important scene would come, he closed my eyes or ears.

We came out and suddenly a screeching voice came. We all looked forward to see Roy stood their guilty in front of a girl. I tiptoed to take a better look and saw the dummy accidently poured his coke on her dress.

"I'm sorry. It was a mistake..." but before he could complete, a punch was rung through the passage as a bulky guy broke his nose. And thus world war III started.

Nathan became furious and he punched the guy back most probably changing the design of his jaw. The guy fell on the ground but his friends came and started fighting. Nathan got a black eye while Ash had Black eye and a split lip. Roy's nose was really out of place and others had same injuries too. Caleb and Hunter didn't take a part. Good decision, I guess! But before some more damage could happen, it was sorted by the security.

We were standing in parking lot, nursing the boys' injuries.

"You were stupid to fight back." Lara, a girl with blond hair said.
Nathan and Asher glared at her but turned back due to pain.

"Fuck, my lip is burning." Ash complained. Unknowingly, my fingers touched his busted lip as he flinched a little. I came back from my La-La land and pulled back my hand.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't." his eyes were burning with some intensity and I just avoided his gaze.

"Are you done? can we leave?" Caleb asked and we all nodded.

"We will take Brooke and Allison." Hunter said but as expected Nathan opposed not wanting to leave his girlfriend.

"They will come with us. Why don't you take Martina?" Asher asked him and Martina's smile widened and she nodded eagerly.
"Cool." Caleb smiled. we hugged each other and bid goodbye. When we reached home,
"We had fun tonight." Asher said and we all nodded.

"So we'll see you tomorrow." He said again and I furrowed my brow.

"Tomorrow is holiday."

"Nope. I have something planned. See you tomorrow." He smiled giddily.

"Good night." We finally said it and came inside. The day was exhausting really but it was worth.
