CHAPTER XIII

Nathan's P.O.V

I was acting like a possessive alpha male. But I just couldn't help it when somebody would eye her like she was a toy. It never happened before but with Allie, I just wanted to protect her from everything. When Drake asked for her, I literally wanted to punch him in the face but Allie calmed me down. She was the reason why my soft, gentle side came out and she was also the reason why my beast wanted to come out and rip everyone apart who would even look at her. Fictional but feelings were hard. I just wanted everything to be okay between us.

School time was fucking boring but somehow we survived. After school coach made us work hard like fucking beggars. I was dying to see her. Actually we were meeting for our tutoring sessions but it was just a reason to stay with her. I liked her a lot. After practice was over, I ran to locker room and took a bath hurriedly. I was about to get out of there when Roy called me. I was agitated knowing Allie was waiting for me in parking lot.

"What?" I asked him urgently.

"Are you in hurry?"

"Kind of!"

"Your mother?" he asked as she was the only person I would always run for after practice but now the reason was different.

"Ummm... No, it's Allie." I said and he raised his eyebrow. He also took his bag and walked beside me towards parking lot.

"Are you serious?"

"What do you mean?"

"I have never seen you like this before. I mean first I thought you were just playing with her as a revenge for those pranks but now it seems you are really........"

"Yeah! I don't know really but I like her."

"Whoa! That's big for you but the girl is good for you."

"Why do you say that?"

"She is perfect opposite of you. You are an asshole while she is shy and cute. I like her." he shrugged and I glared at him. He laughed and put his hands up in surrender.

"Don't worry; I'm not going to make a move."

"The hell you will." I smirked and looked ahead to see Allie sitting under a tree, listening to songs.

"Okay, see you later. Have fun." Roy winked at me and I just shoved him away.

I ran towards Allie and stood in front of her.

"Hey!" she noticed me immediately and pulled out her earphones.

I gave her my hand as she took it and stood up.

"Hi" she smiled. I leaned forward and pecked her lips softly. A small blush spread across her cheeks which made me chuckle.

"Let's go to my place." I pulled her towards my car and we drove to my home.

On the way, I just held her hand and she was talking about nearly everything which was really rare. But it showed me that she trusted me so I was happy.

As we reached home, I intertwined our hands.

"What will Janet or your dad say?" she looked at me worriedly.

"They will be happy. You are the first I'm taking home as my girl." I winked at her and she smiled shyly at me.

"Don't worry, Allie, mom already loves you and dad is too cool so just relax." I kissed her temple. She gave a small nod. I entered inside and suddenly mom came,
"Oh Nathan, look who is here." She exclaimed and then she stepped back. My breath hitched as I looked ahead.

"Hailey!" words came out of my mouth and I felt the warmth of my hand left me. I looked at Allie as she was looking at me and Hailey. Hailey smiled widely and ran towards me, hugging me tightly.

"Oh god, Nate, I missed you so much." She didn't pull back for solid two minutes.

When she pulled back, she kissed me, "Oh! I missed that too, baby." My wide eyes met Allie's who stepped away from us and was looking at ground.

"Allie?" Mum looked concerned but Allie masked her expressions with a small smile on her lips,
"I think I should leave. We'll discuss study tomorrow in school." She said but her voice cracked a little in the end which made my heart ache.

"Allison, stay for some time." Dad smiled at her but she politely refused and turned around to leave. Her gaze met mine and she gave me a small smile which didn't reach her eyes.

"Allie...." Before I could say anything, she went out of the door.

"We have so much to catch upon!" Hailey who was looking ecstatic took my hand and pulled me towards living room but my mind was stuck on the only girl who ran away from me.

Hailey was clinging on to me for an hour or so and somehow dad understood my situation when he asked mom to take Hailey inside. I put my head in my hands. I was shocked and didn't know what to do. I pulled out my phone and dialed Allie's number but she didn't answer. Off course, why would she answer? I hurt her. I didn't want to but she was hurt because of me. That day when she asked me what would happen if Hailey came back I was confused and led her anyway. I groaned loudly.

After an hour or so, Hailey left not before telling me that she was joining school again. When she was about to leave, Asher entered and he looked surprised too. He knew what I was feeling as he gave me a pat on my back.

That night I tried calling Allie again but she didn't revert. I was sitting in living room with darkness surrounding me. there was moment beside me and lights were switched on as dad sat beside me.

"Hey buddy, what's wrong?" he asked.

I rubbed my hands on my face, "I don't know dad."

"Of course you know, Nate, you just need to decide what your heart wants." It was mom as she sat beside dad and he hugged her from side.

"What happened between you and Allie? Principal told me that you paid 6000 dollars for her." dad had amused expression on his face.

"Dad, I've spent more than that on parties."

"I'm not asking you for money, Nathan, I'm asking whether you seriously feel something for her or not?"

"I like her." I mumbled and mom jumped while giggling.

"Didn't I tell you she was perfect?" mom asked dad.

"Oh! Trust me, I knew that before you as I have experience how bad boy falls for good girl." Dad chuckled and kissed mom gently.
"Guys, help me." I whined.

"What help? It's your decision." Dad shrugged and my face fell.

"That's the problem. I don't know what to do. Hailey was the first girl I felt something for while Allie is really different and I don't even know how she made her way to my heart."

"Either way you are going to break a heart." Mom looked little sad.

"I know, Mom and I don't want to hurt Allie."

"Does that mean you are going for Hailey?" Dad raised his eyebrow. I groaned loudly,
"I don't know. I really don't know."

"Listen to me Nathan, you are mature enough to take your own decisions and we support every decision of yours. If you're going to choose Hailey only because her family has good relation with our family, then don't do it. Listen to your heart." Mum said and I nodded.

"And think about grandma and grandpa too. You know their views when it comes to your flings." Dad laughed loudly.

You see, that was the whole point. My parents and grandparents were really close so whenever I was with a girl, my Gram would chew my ear. She never had good opinion about Hailey and I knew why but Allie would have made exception. Allie....! That's where all my thoughts came to a halt. I had to talk to her tomorrow.

Next day came in blur and we reached school early. We went to pick up Allie and Brooke but Brooke told us that they already left. I knew it had something to do with Allie. When we reached school, I tried to find her but couldn't. Soon students started filling in and Hailey entered. As soon as she came, her sidekicks, Lacey and Gina tagged along.

"Hey baby!" she came closer but before she could do anything, I stepped back. That's when I saw Allie and Brooke entering the school. Brooke shot me a glare but Allie didn't even look at me.

"Go talk to her." Asher nudged me and I nodded. I ran to her.

"Allie, we need to talk." I told her while holding her hand.

"Nathan..... I..... I think... it's not...."

"Don't. we need to talk."

"Nate!" Hailey's whiney voice came and I pursed my lips.

"We'll talk later." Allie gave a small smile and was about to turn away but I pulled her closer.

"NO! I want you to know that whatever we have isn't a lie. Whatever I said is true and I want to be with you."

"Nathan..." she looked shocked.

"Tell me, why didn't you answer your phone?"

"I... I just didn't want to put you in dilemma. I mean I know you like her and then.... I'm not good for you, she is prettier and...."

Before she could finish I smashed my lips on her. She stiffened for some time but then she responded. Our lips moved in sync as I poured all my emotions in the kiss.

"About time!" I heard Asher and Roy yelled. I pulled back and took her face in my hands,
"I like you and I don't want to lose you." I said. A small tear fell from the corner of her eye and I kissed it again. I looked ahead to see Brooke was gaping at me while Asher and Roy looked happy like monkeys.

"What the fuck is this? Who the hell is she?" Hailey yelled from behind me.

"My girl." I smiled softly at Allie which she returned.

"Let's go or we will be late." Asher and Brooke said at the same time and linked our arms while dragging us towards class. I could see everyone was shocked. I just smirked at everyone and entered the classroom. While entering due to our linked hands we four tried to enter at the same time resulting in blockage. Brooke glared at Asher.

"Leave his hand, stupid." She frowned at him.

"You can stay back." he countered and tried to move ahead.

"Asshole!" She muttered not so softly and pulled Allie towards her as they stayed back and we entered. I chuckled and looked ahead to see mom looking at us amused.

"Morning, Mum." I said and she grinned at me. Of course she found out my choice.

"I want to sit with Allie." I stated as we reached our seats.

"I don't want to sit with him." Brooke gave a dirty look to Ash and he raised his brow.

"What have I done now?" He narrowed his eyes at her.

"Nothing. I hate you and that's enough for me to not sit beside you." She said nonchalantly and Ash looked shocked. She took Allie's hand and sat on her normal seat. Allie looked at me apologetically. I glared at Asher,
"What did you do?"

"What? I didn't do anything. Ask her, I'm also oblivious to what I have done." He ran his hand through his hair and stared at Brooke's back.
