CHAPTER VIII

When the car stopped we both were really nervous. What would Janet think about us for crashing their dinner?

"Don't worry. She is the one who invited you guys." Ash said.

"Did I say it aloud?" I asked embarrassed and Allie nodded.
They took us inside as Ahs yelled,
"Mom we are home."

"Coming." Janet's voice rang through the house and she came outside while wiping her hands on the cloth. Nathan and Asher went to kiss her on her cheek.

"Hey mum."

"Hello girls, it's so nice that you could join us." She smiled warmly at us.

"We don't want to intervene really." I said and they rolled their eyes.

"Nonsense, come on go get fresh. Troy will be here. And you both are looking really cute." She smiled and we thanked her shyly. We went to get fresh. After 5 minutes, we came and sat on the dining chairs.

"Hey boys, hey Ginny." An unknown voice was there and we turned to look at the source of the sound. It was their dad. He went to Janet and kissed her on her lips. She returned it with the same passion.

"Mom, Dad." Both boys groaned and they pulled away. His dad turned towards and looked little puzzled.

"They are our friends. Brook and Alison." Asher explained.

"Did you forget 'Girl'?" his dad asked and we shared a look of confusion. Janet let out few giggles and smacked her husband on his shoulder. He chuckled too. That's when it hit me and I turned little red. He meant, 'girlfriends.' Asher just shrugged and took sit across us.
"Dad, come on." Nathan groaned and sat beside Asher.

"Well hello, girls, it's my pleasure meeting you." He said smiling at us. His hand was wrapped around Janet as she was smiling at him. It was adorable.

"Same here, Mr. Bolton." I answered and Nathan snorted loudly.

"Please, call me Troy." He told us and we nodded he took a seat at the head of the table and I looked at Allie. She looked paled and little uncomfortable. I knew new places were always her least favorite parts. I tapped her shoulder and she turned to me. I asked her what happened but she just shook her head. We had dinner and it was really delicious.

"Brooke, you should call your parents and let them know you are staying here." Troy said and I shook my head vigorously.

"We need to go home." I said.

"Don't be stupid, give me the number, I'll talk to them." Janet said. After few unsuccessful attempts, I reluctantly gave her Max's number. She called him and took his permission. I don't know how Max said yes to her. But we were about to spend a night at Twins' house. Janet gave us a room which was beside Asher's and twins were happy to see that. I knew they had something in their mind. Janet gave us long shirts to change. I was standing outside the door talking to Asher about our previous conversation when Allie came out to find me.

"You look cute in that." Ash whistled and Nathan smacked him on his head. We all were in passage way of first floor. Nathan looked at Allie and smiled but it wasn't just friendly.
"Are you seriously wearing that pajama short?" Allie giggled and we all burst into laughter seeing Nathan's Dragon pajama. Nathan pouted adorably but we couldn't stop laughing. He playfully glared at Allie and took few steps towards her. Her eyes went wide as she ran back into room.

Nathan followed her after few minutes, he grabbed her and threw her on the bed and started tickling her. Allie was ticklish and it was horrible. Her laugh was turned into giggles as she tried to wiggle away from Nathan's grip.

"Please, let me go...." She yelled at him.

"Say sorry to my pajama short." He said childishly.

"Sorry!" she stated and he fell back on the bed beside her.

"Come on Asher, let's do this." Nathan said and Asher gave him a wicked smile.

"What are you planning?" I asked and he smirked at me. He went to his room. Nathan found a movie for us to watch and I knew they were planning a night out. That's when Ash entered and he had a bottle of vodka in his hand. I and Allie looked at each other with widened eyes. They plopped down on the bed and pulled me on it too. The bed was bigger so we four were perfectly fit.

"SO let's make a toast to our new found friendship." Asher said as he gave everyone one glass. Allie looked unsure.

"Come on Allison; Let it lose for one night." Nathan encouraged her. I chugged down my Vodka and put it back on table. Nathan smirked and gulped down his shot too. Soon Asher and Allie followed. The movie was just for background music. Shots after shots, we emptied two bottles and then everything felt like a dream. Allie was giggling constantly. Nathan and Asher were laughing like stupid on some lame joke and I was just smiling because for the first time in whole life everything seemed beautiful.

When I woke up, my head was throbbing constantly. I groaned and tried to sit up but there was big weight on me. I looked up and found Ash's hand on my waist. I turned to look at him and was shocked that he was only in his boxers, sleeping peacefully. I turned to look at Allie. She was practically sleeping on Nathan who also decided to strip down to his boxers. His hands were tightly wrapped around her waist and her face was pressed to his shoulder.

"Oh fuck, what happened?" Ash woke up and sat up beside me.

"Hangover." I replied. He groaned and looked around. His eyes went on Allie and Nathan and his eyes twinkled with amusement.

"Aren't they cute?"

"He is a player. He must have done this to lots of girls." I said through gritted teeth.

"Brooke...." Before he could say anything we heard a small click. Our heads snapped to the door and saw Troy with a camera in his hand and Janet was behind him giggling adorably.

"Mom! Dad!" Ash groaned. The voice made Nathan steered in his sleep as he turned to one side taking Allie with him and pressed her closer.

"Aww, they are so cute." Janet mumbled gazing at Allie and Nathan. Ash nudged Nathan to wake him up but he just groaned but didn't even move.

"Let them sleep. You guys come for breakfast." Janet told us and we nodded. I took a last glance at Allie, she looked peaceful. It was so rare but I was happy for her. Janet gave me her dress which fitted me perfectly. I took a shower and then came downstairs after I got dressed. Ash was already sitting there taking a sip of his coffee.

"Good morning." I said and they all smiled.

"So haven't they woken up yet?" Troy asked and Asher replied,
"They are. I saw Allie coming out of room blushing like crazy. She went to take a shower in my room."

Troy laughed loudly. There were footsteps on stairs as we all turned to look at Nathan. His hair was disheveled and he came down wearing his pajama.

"Morning guys." He said and sat down beside me. Allie followed behind him, not looking at anyone and she also took the sit beside Asher.

"So how was your sleep, Allie? Was it good? Was it hot?" Ash wiggled his eyebrows. She stole a glance at Nathan and blushed a little.

"Oh don't embarrass her, Ash." Janet scolded him but he just chuckled.

After having breakfast, we bid our goodbye and came back to our place. Ryan and Max didn't come home last night. It was Saturday and we had nothing to do so we just passed time. Allie was smiling while looking at her phone.

"Allie? What happened?"
She went back to her nervous mode and bit her lip.

"Tell me, come on."

"Ummm.... Actually when I woke up, I was pressed against Nathan and then when he opened his eyes, it became little awkward but he just smiled and pulled me closer. He placed a small kiss on my nose and said that maybe he likes me." She blurted out and hid her face. I sighed and took a sit in front of her. Taking her hands in mine, I looked directly in her eyes. Her smile turned into frown as she noticed how serious I was.

"What happened, Brooke?"

"Allie, I know you like him but he is a player. He is going to break your heart once he gets what he wants."

Her face fell but she knew I was right.

"I don't know Brooke; it's just that, nobody ever made me feel so special and he...."

"I know, Al but you deserve better and Nathan is not your type." She nodded and went back to our room. I knew she was little hurt but it was important. I had to do it.
