CHAPTER IV

When I woke up, I saw Allie wasn't in our room. Maybe she already went down for breakfast. I did my daily routine and walked downstairs. Allie was indeed having breakfast with Ryan. She seemed in her own shell as usual whenever she had nightmare. Ryan gave me a worried look and I wasn't sure what to say.

"Good morning." I tried to be cheerful but it looked like Allie wasn't paying attention.

"Morning, Brooke." Ryan literally said in raised voice to get her attention but in vain.

She was already deep in her thoughts. I sat beside her and placed a hand on her. She looked at me and gave a small smile. I smiled back and Ryan let out a small sigh. After having breakfast, we headed towards school and seriously saying I was so desperate to get a look at Evil Twins. We reached school and directly headed towards locker. I still didn't tell Allie what I did to them but I was excited to see the outcomes of my prank. Allie was silently taking her books; I went near her and was about to say something but a loud crash took our attention. We all looked at doors and there stood the Evil Twins glaring straight at us. Allie looked shocked but I just wanted to see their beautiful teeth. They both took big steps towards us and Asher cornered me in my locker by keeping both of his hands on both sides of my head. Nathan did same with Allie; she looked scared as she didn't know what was happening. I looked back at Asher and he was furious.

"You would pay for this." He said and that's when I saw those Blue teeth and I just burst into laughter.

Unconsciously I placed my hands on his chest to steady myself as I couldn't control. It took me some time and reaction from Nathan to sober up. He banged his fist on the side of Allie's head into the locker. My eyes went wide as I turned to look at him. For a moment I thought he hurt her but his hand connected with her locker which was exactly behind her. Her eyes were tightly closed as she was shivering. He looked back at me still glaring,

"DO you think it's funny?" he glared back at me.

"Yes, it is but let me tell you it wasn't Allie's fault. She didn't even know about it so let her go." I stated.

"Oh really?" I knew Nathan was more evil in both of them.

"DO you want to see what's funnier?" he smiled evilly at me and then smashed his lips on Allie's. Allie was frozen as she tried to push him away. I pushed Asher away and pulled Nathan away from her. He smirked at me and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.

"Now that was a payback. You do your work and I'll let it all out on your sister." Nathan said winking at me and then walked away.

Asher was looking at Allie and I was afraid of what would be her reaction. I turned around to find her crying silently.

"Allie..." before I could say anything, she ran away from there. I followed her to washroom but she locked herself in one of the cubicle and I heard small sobs. I knew it was her first kiss and that asshole took it without bothering. It was my fault but he took it out all on Allie. She was innocent in all this but she suffered because of me. I slid down on floor with my back facing the door of cubicle she was inside.

"I'm sorry, Allie" I mumbled but didn't get any reply.

She was hurt and broken. I knew I added the pain.

It was already an hour and Allie still didn't come outside. After lots of pleadings, she came out but was a mess. Her mascara was running down and her eyes were red.

"I'm sorry." I hugged her tightly but she didn't wrap her hands around me. I pulled away and she wasn't looking at me.

"Allie, please talk to me. I promise I won't do anything. It was all my mistake and he is a douche bag. I'm so sorry." I pleaded; tear rolling down my eye too.

"I just don't know what to say, Brooke. I thought you..." but her voice cracked and she kept mum.

"I'm so so sorry. I was blinded by my anger; I couldn't take it that they were getting away with everything."

"Don't you get it that's the things always gonna happen? We'll always be at receiving end, no matter what we do. They have people around them, we don't have anyone. We're alone. Why can't you understand that?" she literally yelled at me. I never saw Allie like this before.

"I promise I won't do anything, no matter what they did. I won't. Just don't be angry with me." I hugged her and this time she hugged me back.

"I love you, Allie bear, I can't lose you." She let out a small chuckle when I called her with Ryan's nickname.

"I want to skip." She said and I shook my head,

"You have exam today. You can't leave. We can't leave." I told her and she nodded.

First two lectures were over and we directly went to the third one which we shared with those assholes. People were whispering at us and some girls were as usual glaring at us. Allie sat silently on her desk, looking down at her hands which were resting in her lap. I just put my head on her shoulder and closed my eyes. I heard few footsteps which stopped right behind us. I knew who it was. When teacher started, I pulled away from Allie and stared in front of her. We both were engrossed in our own thoughts when Asher bent forward towards Allie and mumbled something in her ear. She didn't react anything. I glared back at him and he looked frustrated. He gave me a sarcastic smile and his teeth were back to its white color.

"Will you meet me after school?" Asher suddenly asked me and my jaw dropped.

How could this guy ask me something like that after whatever his brother did to my sister? I was looking forward to break their noses.

"For what? So you can pull another prank on us? Look, I'm sorry, okay? I'm done. But you shouldn't have brought Allie into this. She is innocent." I glared at Nathan who looked bore.

"I just want to talk. I promise there is no prank involved." Asher said somewhat sincerely.

"I don't know. I'll think about it."

"Do you think you are in position of having an option?" Nathan replied and I wanted to smash his skull. I just scowled at him.

"After school, near parking lot and you are coming alone." He stated.

"Why not Allie?"

"Now we don't want your sister to be involved in our shit, do we?" he said and I let out a small frustrated sigh. I stole a glance at Allie who successfully ignored us throughout the lecture.

Soon it was lunch time and we sat in our usual place. Allie was still not speaking to me except few words. Caleb joined us and he had brought Allie's favorite lunch. He looked at me for help as she didn't pay attention and I just apologized him with my eyes.

"Allie, would you like to taste it? My mom made it for you guys when I told her about you."

"Ummm yeah." She smiled and took a small bite.

"It's delicious." She smiled softly at him and his grin widened.

"I know." And they started talking about some new hacking tool which I knew nothing about but I was happy that at least she wasn't upset. I looked around and found Asher and Nathan were sitting on their middle table with girls surrounding them. I shook my head and tuned towards Caleb who was happily munching on his food.

"Are you guys coming for party tomorrow night?" he asked and I raised my eye brow.

"What party?"

"School has a party kinda fresher's you know. And as you both are new you have to come. I will take your passes." He said and bumped his shoulder with Allie's.

"I don't want to come." She mumbled and I sighed.

"You can go with Caleb." She told me and I shook my head.

"There is no way I'm leaving you alone."

"Come on, Al, just come. If you don't like it, I'll drop you home immediately I promise." Caleb gave her his best puppy look. She chuckled at his face and gave a small nod.

"That's great." He hugged her and rocked her small body in chair like small kids.

"Caleb!" she tried to push him away while controlling her giggles.

"You are my favorite Davis." He said cheekily as he winked at me. I just rolled my eyes and then laughed.

"Allie, hurry up, you have exam."

"Hey I'm there too." Caleb smiled widely and linked his hand with Allie as he dragged her out.

"All the best you two." I yelled behind their back and in return I heard a 'thank you' from both of them. While coming back to my unfinished lunch, my eyes caught Nathan as he was glaring at retreating figure of Caleb. His hands were clenched and if he was an animated figure, I was sure there would have been smoke from his ears. I just ignored him and finished my lunch. The lectures after lunch were real bore as Allie wasn't with me and it didn't seem like people were really happy with what I did to their golden boys. I just dragged myself from one class to another. I even heard girl's bitchy statements about me and my sister. I was glad that at least Caleb was with Allie so she wasn't alone to face the wrath of whole female population of school. The final bell rang and I found Allie near our locker, keeping her books in them.

"Hey Allie bear, how was the exam?" I asked as I hugged her.

"It was good. I think I did well." She smiled.

"That's cool. So let's go home." I intertwined our hands and was about to leave when that voice stopped me,

"You are forgetting the deal, babe." It was Asher.

"I'm not your babe." I glared at him. He just smirked and whispered in my ear,

"Not yet but you will be."

"Shut the fuck up Bolton, what do you want?"

"We need to talk, let's go." He grabbed my wrist and dragged me towards parking lot. Allie just gave me a nod and went to other direction. Asher stopped in front of a car, more specifically, a black Bugatti and I was in 'aww' when I saw that.

"It's so cool." Words left my mouth without my acknowledgement.

"I know." He smirked and I came back to my senses. I tried to compose myself and cleared my throat but there was amusement in his eyes.

"So why did you call me here?" I asked.

"Let's sort this out. It's really a mess right now. Whatever happened today, it shouldn't have."

"You should tell this to your brother." I glared at him.

"I have talked to him and he is sorry for that."

"Oh that's huge, isn't it?" I asked sarcastically.

"Will you please talk nicely? I'm not in a mood to take your tantrums."

"Oh really, Bolton? Whatever your brother did today wasn't something amazing. Allie is innocent and she is already broken and he broke her more. She deserves someone who cares for her and your brother just made sure to shatter her faith."

"HE is really sorry for whatever happened. He told me that he just couldn't stop himself. He acted out of anger nothing else."

"But it scarred her. You know, it was her first kiss!" I was frustrated. "Why am I telling you this? Damn it! It's complicated." I ran my hand through my hair.

"I know and we are sorry ok? Let's drop this. Look, we are even now so let's just forget about it and have a fresh start."

"What will happen then?"

"We can be friends. You know we fought but Allie suffered so for her let's make a deal. We won't prank you and same goes for you."

"Ok as long as Allie is okay I'm ready to make a deal."

"Great!" he smiled and hugged me which was shocking so I didn't hug back. He pulled away looking little embarrassed as he apologized. I just shrugged and looked around,

"Where is your brother?"

"He is apologizing to the right person right now." He mumbled.

"What? What do you mean?" and that's when it hit me. Nathan was with Allie. My eyes widened and I ran towards main gate.

"Brooke, stop." Asher pulled me back to his firm chest and wrapped his hands around my waist. I stiffened with his contact. His lips were near my ear as his breath tickled me.

"Just let him make it right, for this once and then you can go to her." he whispered as his lips made contact with my earlobe. I shivered a little and then pulled away from him.

"O...Okay..." I stuttered a little and sat on the pavement beside parking lot. He took a sit beside me but nobody said a word. I was afraid for Allie. How was she going to handle him alone? Will she be okay?
