Ed's POV:
Her lips taste like sugar.
I savor the moment like it is a gem, try to capture it, remember it. It's everything I have dreamed of for the past 3 years.
After what seems like forever, we pull away. "Ed... We shouldn't have... What about Nicole?"
"Who cares about Nicole? I love you."
She presses her nose against mine and sighs. "I'm a cheater."
"I'm going to break up with her. I've been planning it a couple days ago, actually..."
She clutches my hand. "Why did you date her in the first place?"
"To get over you, my love." I smile.
She smiles at me, but then she looks like she's seen a ghost. "Ed... There's no cameras back here, right?"
Panic spreads through me. But wait! "No, I checked. There's none, that's why I came back here."
"Well, we should get back to the show. I might be nominated for something, as you might be..."
"Yeah. I told them I went to the bathroom, and I've been gone a long time."
We walk back together, holding hands, until we get back to the theater and they separate.
