Credits Of The Content: Tia (Tiaboo11)

Earlier today, I was reading a passage on Xenophobia, which is the fear of the others. In other words, it is the fear of people who are different.

While I was reading, I couldn't help but think that the Xenophilius sounded very similar to Xenophobia. After I thought about that, I started to think about all the connections.

In Harry Potter, the Lovegoods, including Xenophilius, are known for being weird (not in a bad way). They believe in things that are not believed to be real, and they are considered outcasts by others. Xenophilius prints stories about things like Crumple Horned Snorkacks in his newspaper, the Quibbler, which further proves to others that they are weird. People even prank and avoid Luna while she's at school because they think she's weird.

Plus, I looked it up, and Xenophilius means the love of things that are strange. This makes sense because Xenophilius and his family love things that are strange.I think the author named Xenophilius his name not only to show that he like strange things, but also to emphasize how different the Lovegoods are and how they are treated (Xenophobia) because of it.

KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS JUST A THEORY; NOTHING CANON!
