10. TRELAWNEY, HARRY AND RON'S PREDICTIONS CAME TRUE (EASTER EGGS)

Did Professor Trelawney predict Dumbledore's death during 'Prisoner Of Azkaban'?

At Christmas, Dumbledore sets a table for 12. Dumbledore rises from his place at the dining table, offering Professor Trelawney a seat. She replies, "I dare not, Headmaster. If I join the table, we shall be 13. Nothing could be more unlucky. Never forget that when 13 dined together, the first to rise will be the first to die."

There are clearly 12 people already seated. But what she didn't realise was that Scabbers was in Ron's pocket, making Peter Pettigrew the 13th person. With 13 people at the table, Dumbledore is the first to rise and the first to die, later in the series.

What else did Professor Trelawney predict? I believe that Professor Trelawney almost never made a wrong prediction; she was just missing context.

Another thing I wanted to mention was that Harry and Ron are not bad at prediction either. This is something that I saw on the internet:In Chapter 14 of the Goblet Of Fire, Harry and Ron decide to give up doing their Divination homework and go back to making most things up; essentially relying more on their own inner eye.

Their prediction goes something like this:"On Monday, I will be in danger of burns. On Tuesday, I'll lose a treasured possession. On Wednesday, I'll come off worse in a fight."Although their timing is a bit off, they seem to be foreshadowing the future events of the Triwizard Tournament. In the first round, Harry faces a fire-breathing dragon. In the second, he loses Ron at the bottom of a lake. In the third round, he fights against a lot of things and people in the Triwizard Maze.

Is this reading too much into it, or could these be signs or hints?

KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS JUST A THEORY; NOTHING CANON!
