"Did you prepare everything?" Y/N asked Minhee, her hands shaking. She was a bundle of nerves.

"Of course. Everything's fine, for the 100th time. Gosh, why are you so nervous? Are you having second thoughts?"

"Shut up," she told him, laughing. "Of course I'm not."

Lies.

She was totally having second thoughts. She was totally freaking out.

What if he doesn't like me? She thought.

But she refused to lose her nerve. She'd been bottling her feelings for years... but not anymore.

Today was the day she was going to tell Woobin she liked him.

"I'm going to go talk to him now..." Minhee said, glancing at her. His features softened in sympathy. "You sure you're alright? You could always call off the plan."

Y/N shook her head, clenching her fists in determination. "No. I'm fine. Go on."

Minhee nodded, giving her an encouraging smile, and left.

"Come on Woobin, it'll be fun," Minhee whined, grabbing onto his friend's arm and pouting, putting on his best cute act.

Ugh. The things I'm doing to get these two together.

"Pranking Taeyoung?" Woobin said, looking at him skeptically. "I don't know.... what did you have in mind?"

"Well... today at the dance practice room... let's send Taeyoung there..." Minhee trailed off, scratching his head, not quite remembering the next part of the plan.

"And then?" Woobin asked. He didn't look convinced. Not at all.

Minhee tilted his head, squinting at him. "Umm... and then we leave him there for a while. Not too long, just so that he thinks we're not coming."

"Okay..."

I forgot.

Y/N, I am so gonna get you for this.

Minhee snapped his fingers, suddenly remembering.

"We tell Taeyoung we have a surprise for him in the dance practice room, and send him there at, say, 8 o'clock or something. But it's actually one of those scary inflatable things... waiting for him in the dark dance practice room. And then he runs out screaming and we're waiting outside the door to scare him again."

"That sounds... kinda mean."

"He'll be fine. Come on. Pleaseee?"

Woobin raised his eyebrows. "Why do you want to do this so badly?"

"Because Taeyoung dropped my phone down the toilet and I need to get back at him," Minhee lied. "Now, will you help me or not?"

"Fine!" Woobin exclaimed, laughing. "Should I go set up the inflatable thing? It's almost 8..."

"No," Minhee said quickly, his heart almost stopping for a second there. If Woobin went in the practice room, all would be lost. "I prepared it already."

"Why...?"

"Because I wanted to be extra prepared in advance. You text Taeyoung."

Woobin nodded, and though he still looked uncertain about the whole plan, he took out his phone and texted Taeyoung, who answered in a heartbeat.

Good. Everything was going just according to plan.

Woobin's phone binged again, and he looked down at it. "Taeyoung says he's about to enter the room..."

"Tell him to go in," Minhee said, grabbing his friend's hand and dragging him toward their dance practice room.

As they neared, they heard the door open and close, and a scream from Taeyoung.

Minhee stifled a laugh. It was all acting, of course. There wasn't even a scary inflatable in the room, but this was all part of the plan.

Woobin hesitated at the doorway. "Why isn't he coming out?"

"Maybe he fainted," Minhee suggested, trying to keep the laughter out of his voice. Boy would Woobin be surprised.

"We should go in," Woobin decided, opening the door.

It was dark.

"Hello?" Woobin asked. "Tae-"

"SURPRISE!" Y/N screamed as the lights turned on, revealing a cake, confetti, balloons, and Y/N and all of Cravity wearing party hats.

Y/N felt her heart beating so hard, so fast, that she worried everyone could hear it. She placed a hand over her heart, taking a deep breath, desperately trying to calm it down.

Woobin looked around in confusion. "It's not my birthday... so.... what is this for?"

She walked over to him until she stood right in front of him.

"I have something to tell you," she whispered.

"What is it?" he asked her, his eyes still confused.

"I love you," she said softly, closing her eyes and flinching a little, unable to look to see his reaction.

There was a moment of silence, and she desperately tried to build up the walls in her heart, trying to prepare herself for a rejection. She didn't open her eyes.

Then Woobin's arms wrapped around her.

"I love you too," he whispered.

Y/N opened her eyes, looking up at him. "Really?"

He cupped her face with his hands.

"I love you," he repeated.
