Everything has pure bliss.

-Philip POV- the next day- Sunday at 10.

I was lying in bed, scrolling through Instagram when I heard a knock at the door. I groaned internally, letting out a muffled 'come in'. Thank god it's only Dad. I sat up to listen to what he was going to say.

"Hey, kid you're going to your mom's house today," Pa told me. I grinned. When my parents got divorced, they decided that I would see my mom at least once a month. It's not that my mom didn't want me, it was the fact that she didn't have a lot of time. AND WHEN MY TIME IS UP HAVE I DONE ENOUGH? They didn't have a bad custody battle, they agreed that dad would keep me until mom wanted me. I didn't have a problem with that since dad lived next door to Maddie. "Yeah, she's having brunch with me then going to see the kids at the orphanage today."

My mom had a part-time job at the orphanage. She worked at a doctor's clinic 6 days a week and worked at the orphanage in her free time. We were silent until Pa spoke up, "Do you wanna do something with me when you get back? We can watch a movie or something." I smiled. Pa and I hadn't done anything alone since... John. They've been together for 4 years, but now everything has to be done "as a family." It'll be nice to spend some time alone with my dad.

"Yeah, that sounds great Pa I'll see you later." I hummed, getting out of bed to start getting ready. "Yup! Love you Pip" he said, walking out and closing the door.

--time skip to after he took a shower and left--

I was at the end of the driveway, about to start walking to my mom's house when Maddie called out to me, "Hey, Hamilshit wanna ride." She was standing by her silver Honda 2016 Accord, keys in her hand, about to leave. "Yeah that'd be great," I say walking up to the car and getting into the passenger side.

"Where you headed, Slick?" she asked, adjusting her rear-view mirror. I looked out the window as she backed out. "I'm going to brunch with momma," I announced. She started driving towards my mom's house, turning down the radio.

"Really? You didn't invite me." she pouted as the signal light changed to red. Maddie turned and hit my arm but turned her head when the signal changed again. "I don't see you inviting me to your daddies' house all the time," I say, pretending to be hurt, rubbing my arm.

"That's because I like you, and I prefer you not to be my dad's next meal," she said, giggling. We laughed a little longer until Maddie got serious. "Have you talked to John since yesterday morning?" she pressed. She wanted John and me to get along. "No." she just looked at me and smiled as she pulled into momma's driveway, pretending nothing happened. Eliza lives around 4 blocks down from Alex, so usually, he would walk.

"Tell momma hi for me, Pip," she said before I closed the car door "Will do Madison-Jeffershit." I closed the car door and watched her drive away. I knock on the door, going in.

"Philip!" I heard my mom yell from the kitchen. "Hey, Momma," I said as I hugged her. She squeezed me tightly, not letting go for another few minutes. She looks at me and runs her hands down my back, kinda pushing me forward. "Come see I have brunch ready."

I walked into the kitchen where they have 2 plates of waffles, bacon, sunny side up eggs, and grits with a glass of orange juice. "I made your favorite" she explained. I kissed her cheek, grabbed my plate and cup, and sat at the table. "Thanks, Momma."

She came to sit next to me, we ate and chatted, "So, are Alex and John doing well." she asked, eating a spoon full of eggs. My eyes darken at the thought of him. "They are," I grumbled, shoving a big piece of waffle in my mouth. "Are you alright?" she questioned, placing her hand on mine. She knew I didn't like John but she didn't know why.

I sigh, swallowing my food, "Yeah, just I and John got in another argument." she sighed "Give John chance honey you may end up liking him." my mom suggests, drinking some of her juice. I may be bullshitting now, but maybe one day, I will attempt to be a little nice to John. "Yeah, I will."

"So who gave you a ride here?" she asked me, finishing her food. She probably didn't recognize Maddie's car. "Maddie did, by the way, she told me to tell you hi." Maddie had met my mom many times. Maddie called her "momma" as well since she was like a mother figure to Maddie. She helped Maddie with all of her...femenine needs.

"Ahh I'll have to invite her over one day, I miss her," she sighed and shook her head, "So do you still like her?" she smirked. I choked on my orange juice, I never told anyone that I liked- I MEAN- pppshhhh.....I don't like her.

"I'm sorry what? I never said that! She's my best friend, momma." I shout. I look at my mom who was standing there, casual as if she didn't do anything. She finished her juice and looked at me, "You don't have to, I'm your mother. I say you should go for it. I think you might be surprised with what she'll say."

"Maybe..." my mom smiled at me, taking my dishes. "Wait! No! I don't like her!" I whined.

-John POV-

"Hey, Alex," I said coming downstairs from our bedroom and going into the kitchen. I rubbed my eyes as they readjusted. I see Alexander typing at the bar. I sigh, coming up behind him and raping my arms around my torso.

"Hey, babe." He mumbled. I nuzzled my head in the crook of his neck. He wrapped his arm around mine, rubbing it. "Do you wanna do something, just the two of us?" I asked, my voice a little muffled. Alexander sighed, then turned to look at me.

"I have a lot of work to do Jack," he frowned. I curled my bottom lip, pouting. I moved to sit next to him and crossed my arms. "Please Alex, just something like a movie or something," I begged, giving him the puppy dog eyes.

I watched as Alexander went deep into thought. I whined, curling my lip more. "I guess," he grumbles. "Yes!" I say in triumph, kissing him and getting up to start toasting my pop tarts.

"When Philip gets back he and I are gonna hang later. Would you like to join?" (I swear it sounds like Alex is inviting him to a threesome) Alexander asked, standing up too, coming stand by the counter.

"Nah, I'll let you and him have some alone time. Y'all need some father, son bonding time. I'll go over to James'," I reply, putting my cherry pop tarts in the toaster.

"Let's just focus on us right now. Okay? We haven't been having a lot of alone time either." He says, rubbing my hips. I frown. What he said was true, we haven't been alone for a long time.

I mean, yeah we see each other in the morning before Alexander heads to work and at night, after work. It's not the same as I usually can't get him off the laptop. The toaster went off, I took the pop tarts out of the toaster and put them on a plate, "I'll get snacks, you pick the movie?"

"Sounds like a deal to me," he murmurs, kissing me and begins skipping out the kitchen like a little kid. "Hey, Alex?" I question.

"Yeah?" he turns around and looks at me. I give him a toothy grin, "I love you." He smiled at me, "I love you too." Alexander said, walking out. I let out a lovesick sigh and got out the popcorn kernels.

-mini-skip- after John puts the popcorn kernels in the pot.

I made my way into the living room, I saw tons of blankets on the couch. Alexander walked in, with a thick comforter.

(I don't know how to make this not cringy. Prepare yourselves.)

I curled into a ball next to Alexander as he turned on the T.V. He opened Amazon Prime and clicked on The Invisible Man. My eyes widened, Alex knew I didn't like horror movies. When Alex and I first met, we watched Don't Breathe, and I had nightmares for a week.

I shivered at the thought. Who the hell likes horror movies anyway. (I've never seen a horror movie so this isn't my opinion since I have nothing to base it off of. But I do know a lot of people who don't like horror/thriller)

I looked at him, "Alex do we have to watch a scary movie?" I ask him, giving him puppy dog eyes. One thing you need to know about Alex is that he can't resist my puppy eyes. I heard him mumble something about wanting to watch it. "You can watch it later with Philip, you know he likes that kind of stuff." Philip and Alex like the horror/mystery types of movies.

They used to watch them all the time when we were dating but I wouldn't watch them. Alex decided that it would be best if we found a movie genre that we all liked. "Okay," he says clicking off of it.

I felt guilty now. I didn't want to be a buzzkill, "I'm sorry, we can watch it if you want too." I looked down. He cupped my cheeks with his hand and made me look at him. Throws up in cliche "Hey, whatever makes you happy." he grinned, "And if we're being honest, I only wanted to watch it because you're cute when you're scared." He picked up the remote again. "Moana?" he asked. I blushed.

"Yes!" I let out a high pitched squeal still flustered. I kissed his cheek and leaned my head in his chest as he pressed play. This was pure bliss.

---- Bonus---- still Johns PoV

"Baby?" Alex asked. I hum, signaling that I heard him. "Do you smell something burning?" Shit, I forgot about the popcorn.
