Yes they are still evolving, but its not like we're gonna see bug changes in just a year, unless we force chimps into a new environment out in their natural habitat, it'll take a really long time to see changes, and by long I mean hundreds of thousands of years

The reason why we have religion and mythology is because, throughout history, we as humans have always been fascinated with the world around us and looked for answers to how things worked. I mean, if we didn't explore, I don't think the Vikings would have found Greenland and North America. Anyway, but for things that can't explained, people filled in the blanks with stories and myths. Why is Crete bombarded with so many earthquakes? Well its probably some angry half-bull monster stuck in a maze under the island. Why do Hawaii's volcanoes erupt? Well maybe its a hot-tempered fire lady. Why are there miscarriages? Well either its a curse or some god is angry with you. So on so forth, but religion tries to answer a bigger question, where did we come from? What is the meaning of our existence? Islam and Christianity tries to answer the "where did we come from question" while Hindu and Buddhism is more of "how to live life"

and about the monkey thing, if you morons actually watched the video, it says "the human lineage broke off from that of chimpanzees", what they mean by that isn't "we came from chimpanzees" but more of a "our lineage came from the lineage that belongs to chimps" which then means "we share a common ancestor"
