-Reader's POV-
"Kalani and Maliea, let's hurry it up now! The store closes in two hours!" My mom screamed up the stairs for me and my twin sister, (who I'm older than by a minute, but that doesn't matter as my mom says.) "Okay!" I yelled back, scrambling around my room throwing clothes onto the floor, eventually settling on a graphic tee-shirt, and mom jeans. "Sorry Gwen, need to go to Big Y call me later!" Slamming my phone roughly on the burrow, I went to grab my annoying sister across the house. Once I stopped at her door, I began to bang on the door violently. "I heard her! Jeez, Maliea!" I rolled my eyes angrily running down the stairs, face to face with my mother. "I say we leave her here, where's Ryan?" Maliea could hear stomping footsteps coming from up the stairs. "He's with Bruce, doing boy things!" My sister answered for her while grabbing her shoes from the shoe cupboard, taking her sweet ass time putting them on. "Mom, isn't there a baseball game in a couple of days after school?" Kalani asked curiously. "Yup, now let's go girls." We all loaded into the mini-van, quickly buckling up. "I heard Bruce is playing in that game with Ryan!" My mom exclaimed, turning the car on. Kalani smirked in my direction, she started making kissing noises while I rolled my eyes playfully looking out the car window. She better not tell Bruce I've liked him ever since the day my older brother introduced me to him! When Ryan had told me Bruce also goes to our middle school, boy was I overjoyed. Surprisingly Bruce and I have become perfect friends, so I wouldn't wanna ruin the strong bond we both have. We've even created nicknames for each other, ever since my mom embarrassingly called me my nickname in front of him one time at a baseball tryout, he's called me "Meatball." I call him "Brucey" Why? I honestly don't know. My sister, when we were younger would shout over to Bruce every time we would see him in public, the nickname itself annoys the heck out of him! You can basically say I call him that to get on his nerves.

Recently for the past two years in Denver, kids have been disappearing into thin air. Last Winter, a boy named Griffin disappeared, then Billy, also known as "PaperBoy." The most recent was Vance Hopper. Everybody at my school was hella afraid of him, which was understandable. A girl in my grade told me that he beat the shit out of two boys, for bumping into his pinball machine of all things.
