Nothing Goes as Planned
"Sir, we've finished! Created based off the DNA of Target Alpha, like you requested!" A rather tall, skinny man said, ruffling his uniform. This was none other than Team Rocket, a group to never be mistaken for good.
"Perfect, well done General! Your quadrant may go on break now." The man saluted the higher authority and walked out of the room, dragging his boots against the wooden floors slowly. Downstairs, in a lab well secured and guarded, was no ordinary creature. This pokemon was designed as a type of mimicry, having the same, yet opposite traits of another.
"In fact... I think I'll just take a peak right now..." The tall, well tanned man walked past a few workers and headed downstairs, to the laboratory. He was one of the few people who were actually certified to see it, the pokemon that would end all pokemon! Or at least that was the plan...
Once there, he stared in awe at the creature locked away helplessly, stuck behind the confined glass that he took part in making. None of this struck him, made him feel much of anything but pride. He had made this, he knew. Not once did this seem cruel, unfair to him at all.
"Mewtwo... what a pleasure!" He smiled innocently, attempting a sorta peaceful approach. He walked slowly up to the tube, the creature still appearing unresponsive.
He smiled, the fake innocence staining his muzzle as he slowly turned a red dial, the tube making fuzzy noises in response. "Now... Mewtwo, can you understand me!" He waved his arms around, putting on a headset that was linked solely to the tube.
The creature slowly opened its eyes, its gaze being quite frightening. The man was actually quite intimidated by that, throwing the headset off and backing away. The creature only blinked, its awakening being a confusion to even itself. The man slowly itched towards the headset, putting it back on.
The boss cleared his throat and tried again. "Hello Mewtwo... can you hear me?!" Mewtwo stared directly at him, as if he were staring right into his soul. When the man asked for a third time, Mewtwo finally replied with a sudden, strong telepathic communication.
"I do not follow orders from you... for I know of your purposes!" Mewtwo's eyes burned brightly and he tried sending an attack straight through the clear tube. The attack only decimated mid burst, Mewtwo falling back a bit. The man was a taken aback. He, nor anyone he could remember ever installing such emotions or any sort of free will into Mewtwo, so how was that little outbreak even possible? The man growled a bit, clearing his throat again.
"A bit edgy today... no matter. You'll learn to respect me one day, Mewtwo." The man sat down, the cozy chair being a nice rest for this little interrogation session.
Mewtwo groaned and attempted once more, only to come up with the power reflecting off the tube and hitting himself instead. The glass was well made, strong enough to handle even his own energy.
The man laughed to himself once, getting up out of the chair and over to the operating system. He turned a dial just about ninety-degrees, a click sounding after he did. Gas started radiating inside of the tubes, sleep gas to be precise. Mewtwo held his breath for as long as he could, but even he had to breath eventually. Mewtwo slowly collapsed, all the information stored inside him reflecting to every part of his mind.
The man put on a different headset this time, yelling out orders to his grunts through the small microphone attached. "Quick! We need to start testing on Project Beta immediately! All possible grunts to Lab 115 as soon as possible." He turned off the headset, marked a few things down and jogged back up to his office.
In a matter of seconds, fifteen to twenty grunts flooded the room. They rushed the unconscious Mewtwo out of his tube and placed him on an examining table off to the side, where they took blood samples and performed multiple physical tests. They made sure he was well drugged, not wanting to risk him waking up.
After the tests, the medical team rushed him back into his trap. They closed it, successfully trapping him once more in this endless prison.

"Sir... from our tests, we found that Mew-two does, indeed, have the abilities of a full-blooded pokemon. When harmed, his cells and blood vials regenerate at an above-average rate, and his strength levels are, in all honesty, off the charts!" A rather excited Team Rocket grunt reported, his mind still in awe at all he had witnessed.
"Very nice... you guys have done well!" He gave the dismissal signal, and the grunt saluted him and ran off down the long hallway.

Downstairs... trapped, contained in a constrained box, lay the now slowly arsing pokemon. He let his eyes wander here and there, the lights all shining brightly down into his adjusting eyes. This was humiliating, unacceptable beyond all standards for him. He would get out of this crooked place, he knew it.
"Mewtwo..." That voice made his stomach clench, his fur stand up straight. "So... how was your first day?" Mewtwo ignored the pestering human, instead thinking of ways to escape captivity. He was slowly getting more and more disgusted of humanity, their ways seeping and taunting him even in his thoughts.
"Oh... still the silent treatment, eyy? You know, we're not bad people!" Mewtwo clenched his fists, looking into the specially designed glass around him. "You are evil... you and this dirty place! You just wait until I get out of here!" He said it with much truth, his voice booming telepathically.
"Well... if that's how you see it, then so be it. Although... we made you, you succumb to me!" The man hissed back, his eyes wandering to the glass that stood between them.
"I succumb to no one... Especially not YOU!" Mewtwo clenched his fists tightly, a small strand of blood leaking from his palm. He barely even knew he could bleed, watching as the red strands slipped slowly down his palms. The man smirked a tad bit, walking back to his office.

Mewtwo sat alone, thinking hard of tricks and methods he could use to escape. He had already been there for months, and still found no chances of escaping. Each and every day he was tested on, normally unconscious or with his powers sapped to prevent any tricks he could try and pull. He felt hopeless, but he never gave up. Something about them was controlling, each day finding more and more reasons to believe that there may actually be no way to trick them, they may never make a mistake with him.
One day, he thought of something new, an interesting tactic to say the least. So far, he had never really tried to earn their trust. He had always shown his resistance, hoping they'd make a mistake in their actions or their technology would somehow fail. Mewtwo smiled just a bit, knowing exactly what he could do. He would change himself... only until they trusted him enough to think that he was somehow altered. Then, when the time was right, create a destructive blow to the corporation and make his escape. It was a flawless plan... he thought.
The next day, when Giovanni, the boss man he had learned, came in for his daily torment and little speech, Mewtwo was much more respectful and attentive.
"Have you finally come to your senses, Mewtwo? Perhaps something went wrong during testing?" Giovanni smirked to himself, and Mewtwo held back a groan.
"Well... I figured since you guys made me, I couldn't be to hateful towards you guys! Perhaps you could teach me... who exactly I am?" Mewtwo spoke out in telepathy, the only way the humans could really understand him. Giovanni was, in all words set aside, shocked, stunned at what he was hearing.
"Very good Mewtwo... now you're getting it!" He opened up the room, Mewtwo's powers still sapped however. "They're already waiting for you..." Giovanni grinned and led Mewtwo upstairs.

It only took a few months of Mewtwo's willingness and respectfulness until Giovanni made the order to begin letting Mewtwo roam around and train at the corporation, with his powers regained. Although, guards were secretly hidden everywhere, gassing areas and barriers were scattered across the corporation. It was all a test to see if he was actually dependable... something that the corporation didn't think Mewtwo would know. If Mewtwo tried one false thing... fired an attack for instance, the defenses would swarm in and his chance could possibly be shattered forever.
Mewtwo kept a straight face and acted as casual as he could, not wanting to raise suspicion in any sort of way. He wandered around the HQ, observing stair cases and many other places that could be useful when escaping or hiding. The only reason he was allowed his powers and out was for the sole purpose of training, getting stronger and more familiar with everything to help Team Rocket. One thing in his mind stood out though... a certain pokemon that was said to be 'as good as him'. They kept insisting that this pokemon would stand in his way, would be his ultimate threat. Although he hated them... he believed this very fact to be true, something that he couldn't really describe.
It was like a trigger word for him... he was made with the cells, that if Mew was even uttered, he would go into a state of destruction. It was weird to him... how he could feel such hatred for a pokemon who he only knew images of. He tried to clear his mind and get through the rest of the day, readying his ultimate strike.

In about two weeks time, the guards and defenses settled down enough to try a coordinated escape, the perfect window for Mewtwo. He had been stuck in there for months, and wanted nothing more than freedom. He waited until nighttime, when the guards were in transitions between night and day shifts was all going on. He started by sneaking onto the large stairwell, silently taking out a guard who was highly inattentive, fiddling with his sword. He was about to blast upwards into the ceiling, but stopped when he sensed a barrier there. Instead, he decided to go up the stairs and into a doorway with only a few grunts inside.
He thought and thought, then slowly levitated through the door. He again thought and thought, thinking for a second he could make it through without any of them noticing, but second guessed himself when one of the guards screamed and pressed a button on his uniform. Immediately alarms began to sound, and Mewtwo glared at the two grunts. Using his powers now seemed like an okay option, since he was well exposed.
In one quick blast, he took out the two grunts and began blowing blast after blast into the ceiling, until it finally broke. He could sense the gas going off, and he moves turned a bit frantic. He flew upwards quickly, racing the built in gas that was chasing after him. He was sorta getting the hang of it, flying through floor after floor, one arm upward blasting into the next floor with one shot.
On the last floor, Mewtwo smiled in joy. "Wow... I'm impressed Mewtwo! You managed to make it all the way here..." Giovanni smiled and held out a remote, threatening to push the button. Mewtwo hadn't even noticed the man standing before him, his eyes quickly locking into Giovanni's.
"Although... You won't be moving any further. You see, I was expecting something like this to happen... teaches me a lesson about giving a person free will. But... I thought ahead and designed this remote... you see, I can shut down your whole entire-!" Mewtwo cut him off and smiled evilly, levitating to the man who had caused him so much pain.
"D-Don't make me... I will!" Mewtwo continued his approach, smirking wider with every stride. He knew it was a scam... it had to be.
"Take o-one more step and you-" Mewtwo swiftly grabbed the remote and snapped it in half, Giovanni knowing his attempts were useless. Mewtwo's eyes glowed, and he again spoke sternly with telepathy. "Nice try... but I win..." Mewtwo flew up, his hands glowing. "You'll pay for every ounce of blood you caused to other pokemon... you'll pay for ALL the wrongs you've done!" He wasn't only talking about Team Rocket, but the sickening idea of humans as a whole.
"Finally... freedom. I will wipe this Earth of all humans... they can just wait!" He bit his lip harder, his hands glowing. He then sent the blast at the HQ, watching as the building erupted in a pile of debris and flames. Mewtwo panted a bit, flying down.
"So I'm a clone... of a pokemon named Mew!" He laughed a bit, biting his lip a bit harder. "There's no room for interruptions..."
"There's no room for flaws. I am perfect... Mew is not!" It was no secret that now that Mewtwo had something against Mew. He was designed to have those feelings, and he wanted nothing more than to wipe Mew out. Although... He knew it wasn't going to be to easy, but he was determined.
