Introduction

                              (Author's Pov.)

"Dr. Park! Make sure all the labs on level three are secure before you leave for the day. "

"Don't worry, Sir. You go on ahead now. "

He walked through level three, locking all the doors and making sure everything was secure. Once he reached room 387, he saw Mr. Lee still working on an experiment.

"Mr. Lee? Why are you still here? You should have finished work an hour ago."

He hoped Mr. Lee would just leave; he didn't really look forward to a one sided conversation of convincing Mr. Lee to pack up for the day and leave his beloved lab. Everyone stayed clear of Mr. Lee. He never talked to any of his coworkers nor left his lab. Which was why Dr. Park was startled when the recluse responded.

"Do you ever feel as if the human race isn't evolved enough or maybe just declining with new generations of unproductive and uninteresting beings? Maybe it is time for those with sense and brains to do something to fix this ... sickness."

"Well, teenagers these days do seem to mostly avoid responsibility, I can barely get my kids off their phones or video games unless I bribe them with food. Then I also think it is part of society's fault. Kids these days are being encouraged more and more to just have fun with their lives and expect others to fix everything. Though I don't think we should forcefully try to fix this problem, since they are not all ready to receive too much responsibility all at once. Why do you ask?"

"Nothing too important. I just thought we could help the world by eliminating those too weak and enhancing those born to fight."

Dr. Park finally noticed the test tube Mr. Lee was holding. There was a clear blue substance steaming from it, but if you looked carefully, different symbols and shapes were constantly moving and transforming too fast to catch.

"What is that, Mr. Lee?" he asked skeptically.

   "Salvation."

With that one word he threw down the test tube on the floor, where it splintered into tiny shards of glass at his feet. Blue smoke blasted through Mr. Lee and through the wall outside, forming dark clouds in the sky.

Dr. Park stood there, horrified, with Mr. Lee's corpse lying in a blue puddle.

                           ~ Later That Day ~
Mr. Park sat in the living room watching the news, still dazed from the morning's events.

"Hundreds of people have been found dead in South Korea and many more around the world", the news reporter was freaking out. "Apparently what was thought to be a heavy rainstorm has been scientifically proven otherwise. Earlier today Lee Jaebin, a 54 year old scientist, released a virus attacking everyone. So far we have only seen three outcomes. This virus has killed many and mutated many, while others seem to be immune. We recommend securing your house and staying inside until further news. Please, we ask that you -" Dr. Park turned it off and sighed.

"What have I done? I could have stopped him. What has Lee turned the world into?!"
