Penelope, or Poppy as most know her, is the exact opposite from what a lady should be. She should have grown into a proper lady, one who knows her etiquette, is kind and polite. Has she been raised by her mother in her family's castle. But fate had other plan and instead she was raised by a bunch of dwarves, and a few very stressed fairies, in the middle of the woods. She's a little wild thing. It's very clear that Poppy is not fit to be a lady, not anymore. She's extremely loud, this woman does not know how to keep her voice down, or doesn't care enough to do so. She isn't afraid to voice her opinion and if you don't like that, that's your problem. Don't expect her to keep her mouth shut and let other people talk over her. She has a mind and thoughts of her own, why would she bother to hide those? She's very blunt and can sometimes be a little insulting without meaning it. It isn't like wants to, she just forgets the proper way to bring things from time to time. Talking about Poppy's vocabulary, this woman does know too many cuss words. It's almost impressive how she manages to remember that many cuss words, and somehow can use all of them in less than 10 minutes. Seriously, someone dared her to use at least 50 cuss words in a minute and she somehow passed. It would be very unwise to include her in any formal setting, though it would be amusing to watch all the nobles collapse from shock after hearing her talk.
Poppy can be kind of a kleptomaniac. It isn't her fault, truly! It isn't like she wants to steal, but people make it so goddamm easy. It isn't her fault that other people are so careless with their stuff. I mean, who can blame her when people just leave their stuff laying around, begging to be grabbed by someone who takes better care of it. Who would resist the temptation? She can't help herself but grab, steal is such a harsh word, stuff like that from time to time. It's instinct. She doesn't do it to hurt anyone, and she doesn't feel guilty about it. If people truly appreciated their belongs, they would have taken better care of them. It's almost an invitation to steal. She is trying to work on her self control, to keep herself from stealing everything she sees. But it is a work in progress. A very long and tough work in progress.
Poppy is rather mischievous. She doesn't like to keep things serious and gets distracted easily. She can't seem to sit still for a long period of time and usually needs something to calm herself with. She likes to mess with others and is often seen with a cheeky smile on her face. She doesn't do anything harmful, aside from robbing people, but she can be incredibly annoying. Especially with her loud voice and crude manners. Because of this many seem to underestimate her intelligence. Sure, shes a loud, shameless girl, but she's also a talented thief. This woman can scheme like no other. She knows how to pull a heist and can come up with the most crazy, yet brilliant plans. She's the perfect example of don't judge a book by its cover. Sure, she's loud and harsh, but she's also clever and kind hearted.

Penelope Hood was born to the famous Robin Hood and maid Marian. The famous thief that robbed the rich and gave to the poor and the beautiful princess that fought against her tyrannical uncle to free her country. They would have been spectacular parents, if they had the change to raise her. Which they didn't.
Penelope was but a young child when the threat of war was looming over her parents head. The young couple had just defeated the spoiled king John, they had barely managed to settle down before another war was starting. Both of them knew how cruel wars could be, especially a war which included several kingdoms. Poppy was loved deeply by both her parents and they didn't want to see her go, but the both of them knew that this wasn't a safe place for a child to grow up. Especially with the many enemies they had. King John's defeat had lead to the downfall of many rich and powerful nobles, all of them weren't happy with the new leaders. It wouldn't be a surprise if any of them would try to attack the family, and especially the little lady Poppy, in a moment of weakness. So she was send away. She was send to Rulux along with some other children, but they never made it there as they were attacked by trolls. The barrier was up by the time they escaped. The fairies took the children to a safe place in the woods and created a barrier of their own to keep the children safe.
Poppy had an amazing childhood. She has always been a wild child, even back home. If her parents left her alone for even a minute, she would find a way to ruin her new dress, hey her hair all tangled up or destroy some century old family heirloom. She always had to held back, but not anymore. There was no one to scowl her for her un lady like behaviour. There was no one to judge her or to pretend for. On the contrary, the dwarves encouraged her behaviour. Not to brag, but she was definitely a favourite growing up. The dwarves had a huge soft spot for the chaotic girl. They enjoyed her brash behaviour and decided to help her with if. If she was going to fight the world, she should at least know how to defend herself. They were the ones who taught her everything she needed to know, or better said, what she needed to know according to them. They taught her how to fight. She spend hours with them, learning how to throw a punch, how to kick and, most importantly, how to run if things got too heated. She was basically raised in the forest, playing with the other kids till the sun set behind the clouds. It wasn't a secret that Poppy loved the woods, she was known as a mischievous child and would often get in trouble. When she got in trouble she would ran into the dark forest and not return for a few days. Which often made the fairies crazy with worry. It was at these times that she taught herself how to survive in the woods, from finding eatable berries to making fire and finding a good place to sleep. She always came back though, she wouldn't even think about abandoning her family.

it's not really a magical ability but she's unnatural skilled with bow and arrow. She could hit (almost) any target with her eyes closed.

-Poppy can't sit still for too long and struggles with keeping quiet. So she has a fidget with her at all times to play with whenever she can't keep her hand still. She used to play with whatever was close to her, but when one of the fairies saw the 10 year old girl playing with knives every other minute, they gave her something else to play with.
